Finally got a fantastic local pub in the village My fiancee and I took a walk down with our son. We didn't book a table but would advise anyone to as it is getting very busy, they found us a table and offered us great service. Good choice of beers and the food was excellent with a wide choice of different meats couldn't cook it better myself . We will be going back on a regular basis.

Spent an afternoon here, lovely friendly staff, nice atmosphere. The decor is really nice, a proper country pub feel to it.

Lawrence is the best Landlord this pub has seen in many years, He has brought life back in to the place, so welcoming, taken the time to learn everybody's name and always has time for a chat and a laugh, it's like popping to see an old friend. What a shame we're losing him and Declan, all because the owner's are greedy and make it utterly impossible for anyone to make a real go of the place. The 5 stars are for the current staff you will be sorely missed xx

Excellent Sunday lunch - even though the restaurant was busy and we arrived late without booking in advance, the staff were very accommodating and seated us quickly. We were soon served with excellent freshly cooked meals. Good varied menu and reasonably priced, but not much choice for vegetarians.

A very nice traditional pub with a good range of drinks. Friendly staff and an open fire make this pub very welcoming. Definitely worth a visit.

Great local pub with homey feel. Welcomed by the friendliest cat I've ever met :) sat with us the whole time! She is not a resident pub cat but lives nearby. I heard this pub is not so busy as it used to be, not sure why!
