Lawrence is the best Landlord this pub has seen in many years, He has brought life back in to the place, so welcoming, taken the time to learn everybody's name and always has time for a chat and a laugh, it's like popping to see an old friend. Staff lovely, we are walking group, and managed very well, with us all,dog friendly too.
Excellent Sunday lunch - even though the restaurant was busy and we arrived late without booking in advance, the staff were very accommodating and seated us quickly. We were soon served with excellent freshly cooked meals. Good varied menu and reasonably priced, but not much choice for vegetarians.
A very nice traditional pub with a good range of drinks. Friendly staff and an open fire make this pub very welcoming. Definitely worth a visit.
Great local pub with homey feel. Welcomed by the friendliest cat I've ever met :) sat with us the whole time! She is not a resident pub cat but lives nearby. I heard this pub is not so busy as it used to be, not sure why!
