Take A Gander - Scunthorpe - Photo album

We had lunch at Take a Gander today - there is a good choice on the main menu and some lunch time lighter items, but we settled for our favourite fish and chips, with chocolate brownie, and Elton mess for afters! It was all delicious!!!
Take a Gander is an absolute must. The food was amazing. Three courses for £20 the quality was fantastic. Service was great. The manageress couldn' do enough for us . If you don't go anywhere else Take a Gander is a MUST . You won't be disappointed. Well done to you all who work there 🙏🙏
Friendly service. Steak pie was full of meat, crisp pastry, really good. Burger was homemade and cooked perfectly. Kids mac n cheese, also got a big thumbs up
Came for a meal after work (spontaneous visit) with our dog. Sat in the beer garden and enjoyed the lovely sunshine and food was delicious. They have a dog friendly part inside too which we didn't know before. Staff were friendly and very attentive. Lovely spot on the river bank, it's one of our
Was a quiet night, but food was great quality. A bit pricey, but as a restaurant it is a cut above pub grub so I guess that's why. After eating, walk across the road and admire the view of the river.
The young waiter was on his own and done a great job when it took a busy spell. Food that we got was great and couldn't fault it one bit. Only downfall was several items on the new menu advertised for that day wasn't available but will definitely be back again to try the stuff we missed out on today
Loved this pub, restaurant is superb, food is delicious and very reasonably priced, well worth a visit. Located across the road from the river Trent, lots of free parking
Bit disappointing this time. Pork was very tough (3 people in our party had the same experience, so not a 1 off), panacotta runny, beef raw (blue) when meant to be roast and sent wrong meal. Had to send 1 dinner back as it was cold too. Accommodating staff said they'd changed butcher so they definit
Sunday lunch four of us. Gorgeous meat melt in your mouth. Service fab. Will deffo go again soon. Passed on to anyone and everyone. Thank you
I only stopped off for a quick drink, the locals are friendly, so are the staff, so what's not to like.
Blown away! Came from London to visit family and found this little hidden gem of a pub and wow! Absolutely amazing food definitely recommend!
Small portions, we had the 3 course special for 20.00 though actually it was enough, though the pictures of the food differ from what you get but that may be because it was a special menu. We waited quite a long time between courses, though some people may prefer this but we didn't have long. Thoug
We actually attended a celebration of life here after a funeral, but I can say that the food laid on was wonderful and we will definitely be visiting for a proper meal at some point.
Lovely place to visit, mussels, the best we have had so far when eating out. Will be going to eat out there again
Great place to eat, beautiful building, really helpful pleasant staff. Highly recommend.
Just had the most amazing meal, the rib eye steak was so tasty and tender and the fish pie was excellent. We would like to thank all the staff for their warm and friendly welcome and in particular our fab waiter who was so patient over our choice of wine and for his recommendations, he also took the
