The Shires - Scunthorpe - Photo album

Myself, my wife Carol and her cousin Lorraine go out every Monday night, for the last 2 Mondays we have dined at the Shires and we will dine here again. The restaurant is clean and comfortable, the service is friendly and professional, the food is excellent. Carol had gammon which came with new pota
Lovely quaint pub and restaurant out the way so not to busy, great for family. Portions are huge. Extra carpark so no hassle parking. Friendly good service. Clean and tidy place with plenty of room and function room. Nice to sit outside in the hot weather. Bouncy land is great for the younger kids a
Really attentive staff, friendly and helpful as this was our first visit. The food was really well cooked and plentiful, the desserts were delicious. We will definitely be going back there again. Well done to all at The Shires.
Loved the food. Good value for money. Extensive menu. You don't need to eat for a week before you go, portions are huge. Staff friendly and efficient and very helpful. Food piping hot. Lovely outside area. Highly recommend.
It was my aunt's 90th birthday meal with 11 of us. The staff went the extra mile to make her feel special. They gave her a small bottle of prosecco and put a giant sparkler on her cake. The food was excellent too. Good value for money.
Went for Birthday meal food was amazing large portions cooked to perfection. Staff friendly and efficient. Nice relaxed atmosphere and thoroughly all round great value.
Shire's great food, great service but it would seem if you give a tip in cash the staff get it if you pay by card and give tip on card then it goes into management after finding this out I find it unfair on the young waitresses not getting what they are owed. Such a shame after a lovely meal we won'
Great food, nicely presented and generous portions for sure. Nice surroundings but a tad toonloud music for my liking. Other than that - real good. Thanks.
Squeezed us in on a Sunday tea time. For somewhere off the beaten track so to speak, it was well frequented. But the staff copied well and we wasn't waiting long for anything. Good value and nice traditional pub restaurant food. The staff were polite and looked after us well. They stop food around 6
I’ve taken my parents here twice & will definitely be back! The service from Liam was amazing! He remembered us from the last time we visited & made us all feel very welcome! Carvery is amazing too! We live near Leeds but will make a special journey to visit again! Thanks Liam - we will be back soon
The restaurant was VERY busy when I visited on a Sunday, so perhaps not my usual experience there. Some of the vegetables were a little more "Al Dente" than I would have liked and the roast potatoes were over-salted. All notwithstanding, it's still one of my favourite places to eat.
Didn't look much from the outside but we had a lovely lunch. Did get a bit of food envy, I chose the wrong dish sweat and sour chicken, I thought the burger, fish and chips and prawn salad that the others had looked so much better. My dish looked a bit plain and boring, it tasted OK but was a bit bo
This was our first visit. From the outside it looks like a social club with the way it is built and the bowling green but once inside it was lovely. We were quickly escorted to a table which was spacious for the two of us. The staff are pleasant, helpful and want to make your visit pleasurable. Alth
Nice and great atmosphere:) it's one of the best pub with food when I ever been . Food was delicious and served very quickly 😋
Good food, bit pricey. Good selection of beers that are more reasonably priced. Nice outdoor seating area overlooking the outdoor bowls green.
