Only stopped in for a bit to eat and a drink at lunchtime. The food was sensational. We had a couple of salads and half pints in the bar area. The homemade bread and butter is out of this world. The staff were very friendly and attentive. We'll definitely be visiting again to eat in the main restaurant (and hopefully stay over for a night!).

Just returned from one night here. Stayed in a cosy double room, which is small, but perfect for what you need and really peaceful. Everything is of very high quality. Staff were friendly and helpful. Enjoyed a great walk from the Mill itself - what a beautiful setting. Really pleased to have found this place and will certainly return.

Relaxed atmosphere with attentive staff. Quiet comfortable rooms . Ours looked out over the garden. Food served in the bar and restaurant space. There is also an upstairs dining room. Range of dishes . Pleasant walks from the hotel to explore the countryside.

Delicious meal at Sculthorpe Mill this evening. The restaurant was really busy but service was superb - very polite and hard working team. We’ve been to this lovely venue for a summer’s drink, but this was our first visit to the restaurant - great ambience and good food. Will certainly be visiting again!

I went to Sculthorpe Mill for the first time for a spur of the moment drink, I think they could benefit from a few more sign posts as I nearly turned around thinking I was down the wrong road. Walking in I had no clue as to where I needed to go and the lady I saw was no help at all. I made my way outside and I will say, what a totally awesome garden, so very relaxing, if it wasn't for the obscene prices I would have stayed longer. I had a bowl of chips if that's what you call the portion, they were salted too , I dont like salt so that was not great however, the service from my waitress was extremely good, she took on board my issues and said she would pass them on to her supervisor which it seems was the lady who saw me at the door , maybe they need to rethink the staff they put front of house as if not for her and the salted chips they would have got 5 * and they only got that because of my waitress. Would I go again ? Yes , in summer for the relaxing gardens

Small room (5), clean and functional as was the bathroom. Special shout out to the lady looking after breakfast orders over the weekend. Very helpful and communicative. No telly but they are available if you can't live without

We met friends for lunch & it was the first time any of us had been to Sculthorpe Mill. The setting is beautiful; by the river & amidst lovely gardens. We sat outside but under cover. The lunch menu was a bit limited & quite expensive. I had the steak sandwich which was delicious but rather small & had no salad garnish or chips. A glass if merlot was £11 & there was only one size. The staff were pleasant & service was quick. Although it is in a lovely setting it is not family friendly as there was no kids menu.

Love this place. Choice of three local real ales, and excellent food. Really liked their take on ham egg and chips - really nice ham, an egg salad (rather than fried egg) and lovely chips.

Visited for a meal, so cannot comment on accommodation. This building was originally a watermill on the River Wensum. The use has changed but the location remains the same and is lovely. We were outside at the rear of the building as the weather was lovely for the May evening. We enjoyed some of the good, locally brewed beers and had good quality wine with our meal. The menu offered has a good range with much of the food locally sourced. All meals in our group contained good quality ingredients which were very well cooked and invitingly presented. We all left nothing at all and really enjoyed everything. All staff in all roles were very helpful and attentive, very efficient and professional. Good value overall for the experience as a whole and a relaxed atmosphere in a lovely setting.

This is an excellent, relaxed but sophisticated pub and restaurant. Food, service and bar in the historic old watermill were excellent. The garden is beautiful. We didn't stay overnight so can't comment on rooms.

There is no air con or fan in the room. It gets very warm at night. Every time people walk along the corridor, floor boards make noise, especially at night. Rooms are very clean. Managers were polite and very helpful, but one of the staff members came across a bit rude.

My wife and I and a small dog. The pub is dog friendly and that was helpful. The food menu was more imaginative than many pubs. It tasted good and the quantities were just right for us. The service was good and the staff friendly and helpful.

Beautiful peaceful location close to Fakenham . Within easy reach of Birth Norfolk Coast. Excellent restaurant/bar , serving very good quality food for extremely good value but be warned, large portions! Varied imaginative menu well presented. staff very welcoming and efficient. Premises and grounds beautifully presented. Room (6) on the small size but only stayed one night so perfectly adequate. Highly recommended.

Decent service and a nice drinks. Cod came out raw, and wasn’t particularly amazing once finished off once it returned from the kitchen. Portion size was pretty small anyway. Probably won’t bother again.

Haven't been here for years but decided to give it a try for lunch on a sunny day. The garden was perfect for outside dining and the food and service was spot on.

Went for the river view and was seated with perfect view, exceptional service, and phenomenally great tasting healthy food! This place scores top points from us and will be back SOON. Especially to mention the front of house - exceptional by Bianca she went the extra mile effortlessly and work ethic is both personal and efficient. The Crab starter I had was a taste explosion- complimented the chef and will again now.. Highly recommended 💫
