Sorry about my first review- I don't know what happened there! Definitely worth 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ we only called in for a cup of tea- which was perfect and cream scone 👍my husband tried the milkshake- which he loved! There was a lot of shaded areas to sit in, lots of water bowls around for the dogs. Friendly staff, lovely setting. Will definitely visit again when in that area 😊🙌

Well worth a visit. This is our second visit and wasn't disappointed. The scones and cakes in the cafe are delicious. Staff friendly and helpful. Plenty of seating inside and out. Gift shop has some lovely items and the recently revamped playground is fab. Owner even gave the kids some toy foxes for being the first ones to visit! We loved the inflatables last year, so will certainly be back when they are on in a couple of weeks time. Garden centre is also worth a visit too. Staff definitely know their stuff and happy to make recommendations

Great to sit outside on a warm day. Plenty of tables. Food excellent as a service. Bit of an ongoing issue with the toilets though.

Pick up your menu and cutlery on the way in and find a table. Went up to order and paid at the counter, nice little discount for having a blue light card. Drinks were served promptly. Had a little wait for the quiche and chips we ordered to be served but it was well worth the wait. The quiche was homemade and warm and was very tasty, the coleslaw was delicious, the salad was salad and the chips were nice but would have been soo much better if they were home made. We enjoyed our meal. The place was tidy, the toilets needed a little bit of a makeover. No doubt we will be back.

Plenty of parking at this venue. The friends I went with have been before but l never had. It is spotless and there are plenty of tables spaced out over 2 rooms. One of my friends went to place our orders for 5 of us and gave strict instructions about our meals being served on hot plates, ( on previous visits this had never happened) Sadly only one arrived aired an the rest stone cold. Not good, will there be a return visit, if the garden centre is open we may pop in for coffee but not a meal that is on a cold plate.

Lovely place to visit. Cafe very good. Craft and soft furnishings and a garden centre. Outside seating and a place for children to play in good weather. Will definitely return soon

It's a lovely airy space and the doors were wide open to the outdoor area which was great. I just wasn't keen on the amount of dogs inside. That said the food was delicious and the play areas are a great idea for younger children!

Nice meal, however lasagne was very pasta heavy, not much bolengnaise sauce. Tea is expensive almost £3 a pot. Lovely setting , looks great lots of tables now. Pity scones don't come with raspberry conserve like they used to.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at the Ellerton Cafe and Farm Shop, and I must say, it was an absolute delight. From the moment I stepped foot into the restaurant, I was greeted with warm smiles and excellent service. General Manager Simon and Assistant Manager Alice went above and beyond to ensure that my dining experience was exceptional. The atmosphere at the Ellerton Cafe and Farm Shop is cozy and inviting, with rustic decor that perfectly complements the farm-to-table concept. The restaurant is nestled in a picturesque countryside setting, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding fields and farms. It truly provides a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Now, let's talk about the food. The menu at the Ellerton Cafe and Farm Shop features a fantastic selection of dishes made from fresh, locally sourced ingredients. I opted for the roasted vegetable and feta tart, and it was an absolute culinary masterpiece. The flavors were vibrant, and the vegetables were cooked to perfection. Each bite was a delightful explosion of taste. The service provided by General Manager Simon and Assistant Manager Alice was truly exceptional. They were attentive, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. They took the time to explain the dishes and make recommendations based on my preferences. Their passion for food and commitment to providing an outstanding dining experience were evident throughout my visit. In addition to the excellent service, I was also impressed by the attention to detail at the Ellerton Cafe and Farm Shop. The presentation of the food was exquisite, and every dish was a work of art. It was evident that the kitchen staff takes great pride in their creations, and it truly elevated the overall dining experience. Furthermore, the cafe doubles as a farm shop, offering a variety of locally produced goods. It's a great opportunity to take home some of the amazing flavors you experienced during your meal. From fresh fruits and vegetables to homemade jams and artisanal cheeses, the farm shop provides a wonderful selection of products that showcase the best of the region. Overall, my experience at the Ellerton Cafe and Farm Shop was nothing short of exceptional. The combination of excellent service from General Manager Simon and Assistant Manager Alice, delicious farm-to-table cuisine, and the charming countryside setting made for a truly memorable visit. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a culinary adventure that celebrates local flavors and warm hospitality.

Just popped in for tea and shortcake and was surprised how lovely the place was. Large inside and out. Lots on the menu. Children's play area and small garden centre next to it. Lake nearby.

Lovely cafe, have been here many times over the years and food is always fantastic. I now have a dog and she is very welcome, both inside and out, with dog water bowls provided. Very good menu, short queues and lovely friendly staff.

Been several times as a cycling destination for lunch, on different days of the week. Nice rural setting, close to lake. Teashop well set out and spacious. Counter service, but queue always tends to build up, despite many staff to hand. It seems the lady who takes the orders also makes the drinks. This slows everything down big time. I'm sure this could be improved with a bit of imagination and would improve customer experience. It's disappointing that the slow service seems to be a recurrent theme amongst reviewers. Otherwise very pleasant.
