Booked for a late Sunday afternoon lunch. From the minute we walked through the door nothing was too much trouble, the lady serving was welcoming, polite and passionate about the product. As a coeliac I was delighted when our host said they would serve GF Yorkshire with gravy! The food was beautifully cooked, 5 stars for melt in the mouth beef. We were expecting bog standard pub grub and although on the expensive side, we were very impressed 😍 We will sing your praises locally and we will certainly return.

What great meal with real customer service! I went for the belly pork and my dining companion had the smoked haddock. Both of our dishes were delicious. I've eaten around Richmond alot and without doubt this was easily the best experience we have had. I cannot recommend highly enough. My only issue was that the food look so delicious I didn't take photos! If you are in the area try and get yourself a table you won't be disappointed. Edit: photos from our return X3

Drove past this one night and decided to revisit a couple of nights later. Glad we did. An absolute stunner of a bar. Very well done up inside. Very attentive staff, and the food was superb. The pork belly was the best I've tasted and the pear and ginger sponge was very light with a nice kick of ginger. Thoroughly recommend.

From being shown to our table to service throughout you can't fault them. Friendly and efficient. The menu offers a good choice and is beautifully cooked and presented. Well worth our taxi trip from Richmond. If we lived locally we would return.

What a find! Cosy little gem found in a little village. Food was amazing! We had the cheese soufflé and scotch egg to start and the fillet and lamb shank for mains. It was all delicious, I could have ate 5 soufflés. Will definitely be going again and would 100% recommend.

Best parmo I've ever had. Went with the family and the coconut prawns were amazing. Ordered the parmo for mains with jalapeños and it was absolutely gorgeous. The manager Adrian was friendly and service was excellent. Will definitely return so I can try other things on the menu 👍

Fantastic Sunday lunch for 6. All staff very customer focussed and helpful to people with complex allergies. Food cooked to perfection and plenty of choice. All the menu is home cooked from scratech by the chef. A special day and we will be back

Had a few meals here now. All have been exceptional. Already booked twice for February. The cheese soufflé is to die for.

Had a really lovely meal on Sunday night, staff were wonderful and created a really nice atmosphere. Nothing was too much trouble - even with a giddy 5yo! We've been trying to get a table here for a while but it's always booked up - now we see why! Never seen our daughter demolish every single course like that before! Having eaten at the Black Bull Moulton, we would prefer to come to the Heifer as the food was nicer and the atmosphere more friendly and warm 😁

We don't eat out for Sunday lunch because it's never as good as I make myself. The Heifer is the exception to that - real Yorkshire pudding, generous portions, fresh veggies and a choice of meats. I recommend the trio of beef, pork and chicken. Charlie prefers the big pile of medium rare beef. Could it be better ? My dad would say only with onion gravy.

Just had a beautiful Sunday Lunch, food was delicious, and homemade cherry Bakewell desert was gorgeous, and finished off with a Bailey’s latte - highly recommended.

We booked Sunday lunch over the bank holiday weekend. Although the pub was very busy, the service and food was faultless. The best Sunday lunch I’ve had in a long time. The staff are so welcoming and accommodating. It was a really lovely experience.

Visited The Heifer on Sunday 3 September for lunch after being recommended to us by the reception at our accomodation. We pre booked a table. On arrival we sat on the village green in the beautiful weather and had our drinks which were delivered to us by a friendly waitress. We were then shown to our table indoors and ordered our lunch. One trio of roast meat and two roast beef. The food was excellent, hot, tender, plentiful and came with a good selection of fresh seasonal vegetables, roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding and gravy. All three of our meals were delicious and cooked to perfection. All the staff were helpfull, friendly, interested and efficient. The price was good value for money especially for the experience that we received. We would definitely recommend and return to this lovely village pub. Many Thanks.
