The rising sun, a local to us and friendly pub. Calum behind the bar was very friendly and went out of his way to look after us. Post walk drinks were efficiently served, compliments to the staff, and washed down by all 🙂

Cask ales, excellent food with a friendly host. Basic ingredients for a classic English pub to be frequented.
Great pub, quite traditional, but not boring or cliche. Friendly attentive staff. Great place for family's or a few friends out for drinks. Highly recommend.

We went for a walk along the canal which was just up the road and afterwards we went to the Rising Sun for some lunch. We tried the three snacks for £10. There was a choice of 10 or 12 dishes to choose from.
There were three of us and we ordered 3 each, as they were snacks and we were really hungry.

Good range of real ales, lagers and ciders, all in tip top condition made for a pleasant stay regardless of whether you were dining or not. Came for lunch with my brother. Food was spot on! The lady who served us was very friendly, my first time coming here but would definitely come back!
Only bad thing for me was sat at the bottom of the pun near the kitchen was unbearably hot and didn't look like a window could be opened. Not losing stars over it as he experience made up for it.. Food was amazing staff friendly and helpful and the pub itself is very nice. Would recommend

We went last night and the food was excellent fish n chips spot on the lasagna which I had was A1 in fact I'd just come back for that alone one tiny gripe the slot machine playing dance music every 30 seconds
Nice pub atmosphere, lots of small rooms. Well run, car park is small but plenty of off street. Some ales on, great food, not too pricey. Try the Sunday dinner.
