Our first visit to the Wild Fig won’t be our last! From the warm welcome to the tempting menu and the excellent service, this place is exactly what we’ve been looking for since arriving in Australia last year. Having sampled squid in a few places, hubby rated the Wild Fig’s the best he’s tasted in this hemisphere. The Thai beef salad was an experience I just have to repeat in the near future. Salmon fillet has been one of my favourites for many years, so thank you for one of the best I’ve ever tasted. Next time I’ll be ordering the Moroccan lamb and kale salad (I pinched quite a bit from hubby’s plate ). An after dinner liqueur would have been the pièce de résistance if they’d had Grand Marnier. Maybe next time ...
Staff are excellent, their efficiency and prompt service had us wanting for nothing. The young gentleman waiter recommend a dish as I’m vegetarian and I was more than pleased with his advice and my final decision.
Family dinner here last night with two small kids, there is colouring in and the kids eat free on Tuesdays!! Wonderful service, i couldn't readily see anything that looked dairy free on the menu but when i asked the waitress if there was anything she proficiently pointed out several things i could have and also several others that i could make small modifications to. Checked with the chef for one thing she was unsure of. Beautiful tasty food, nice atmosphere, happy staff - lovely evening. Thank you wild fig!
Wonderful service, friendly staff, a beautiful view and a lovely selection of food choices. Caters to vegans, vegetarians and gluten intolerant customers. All at very reasonable prices! We’ve been here many times. So happy it survived the construction chaos. Now sitting pretty 😊
The Wild Fig at Scarborough is a place that you can visit for great food or coffee anytime of the day. Killer Bloody Marys, and an amazing wine and beer selection
We went for our anniversay dinner last night and decided to go to The Wild Fig in Scarborough. Upon arrival we were greeted with friendly faces and escorted to a great table overlooking the sea. With lots of guests in the restaurant, there was a great vibe. The staff where really attentive and we felt special. We loved the food and had a wonderful time. Thank you.
Totally impressed from the moment we walked in from the genuinely friendly staff to the lucious freshly squeezed juice to the yummiest smashed avocado eggs. 10/10!
Tried the egg on fire & big brekkie with matcha latte & iced latte. Their food is always great. One of my favorite place. Love their atmosphere, overlooking the ocean. Always nice to go for a walk after meal or just chill out & relax by the outdoor area.
Excellent midweek dinner. One of us had the fish of the day, the other the steak. Very fresh, well cooked vegetables, crispy chips and steak cooked exactly as requested. Drinks were reasonably priced. Great place for two with the entertainment book buy one get one main free.
I’m a semi-regular customer as I often stay nearby for work. The coffee is hands-down the best in the area, and food is consistently good for both dinner and breakfast. They also do a fantastic job at catering for dietary requirements.
Had lunch here today with a friend. Easter long weekend with some nice weather outside and a great deal to match. I had the battered fish and chips. My friend had the fish of the day which was crispy skin Barramundi. My battered fish was very nice. Something I only order once in a blue moon because alot of places get the batter wrong but the batter was very light and crispy. My friend also really enjoyed her meal. Very good quality at a great location.
Been here for breakfast and lunch and both meals were really nice. It's a good atmosphere and a good spot with lots of parking. Good for small or larger groups and not crazily expensive.

Really enjoyed a Sunday breakfast here . The porridge was Devine . The coffee was strong and just perfect as was the well cooked breakfast. Good ingredients were used , and service was super friendly . Couldn’t Fault 🤗
Wild fig cafe is an awesome place....went here for lunch, the staff is really friendly ...their eggs and latte are to die for...hats off... simply awesome
Such an amazing place....went here for lunch and had such a lovely time...their sausages and bacon are to die for...hats off to the chef.just amazing
Came here for breakfast on a Sunday morning. Service was friendly and prompt. I had the grizzly pancakes, which were tasty and enjoyable. My partner had the eggs on fire, which he also enjoyed; however, he didn’t realise that it came without bread (which is a bit odd, given like its similar to a big breakfast).
I love this place because the staffs are fantastic. They are very friendly and helpful. Located near the beach made it more interesting. Their food are beautiful. Their coffee is good.
Amazing locations, super friendly staff and the food was just as amazing! I had the duck ravioli and honey and fig parfait. Both without fault. Duck ravioli the best ravioli I've had!
Delicious lunch, beautiful view and great service! The chips were crispy, the chicken burger was tasty and the apple pie smoothy was amazing!
great food and nice clean place with exceptionally friendly service. unfortunate about the construction going on right now but in the future it’ll be a must visit for beach goers!
Absolutely lovely service. Delicious food. Massive servings. Fuss free ordering- could order sides and not have to pay for toast that I can't eat. Everything was fabulous. Shame about the road works going on- don't let them deter you!!
Breakfast this morning was beautiful. Smashed avo was delish and the bacon pancakes and eggs hit the spot. Service was fast and friendly with hot tasty coffee and fresh juice.
I’d recommend this place as a good breakfast stop.
We had a good time brunching at TWF Cafe today. Service was attentive. Food made with care and generous portions!
We had Eggs on Fire & Smashed Avo to share and they were both delightful.
His Scrambled Eggs was fluffy and airy. Loved the spicy Chorizo. Sweet Corn & Potato Cake thick and filling. Jalapeno stuffed with cream cheese was addicting.
My Smashed Avo was well sessoned. Eggs were poached perfectly. Extra Mushrooms cooked well, fat and juicy.
Beetroot Hot Choc was good. My coffee was nice too. Very recommended.
The staff here are so friendly and vibrant, the braised lamb pita was exquisite; I could not fault it, generous servings of lamb. My dining experience was great, atmosphere is homey and relaxed.
I have never come for dinner but we picked the right night it was a lovely cosy escape from the wild weather! We ordered the squid, fries and Thai beef salad. All were delicious, this place is slightly on the pricey side but we had the entertainment book so it was definitely worth it! Couldn't fault the service and I would return to try more of the menu.
Great for Breackfast/Lunch in an awesome location. Prompt service and very nice food. The Fresh Juices are always fantastic and Coffee best Ive had in WA.
The Breakfast Confidential
+4.5
The Wild Fig were are the forefront of beachside breakfast dining before Perth even knew what smashed avocado was. Originally located on West Coast Drive, they moved to the Esplanade on the Scarborough foreshore some years ago. They have always been one of the area’s most popular cafes but the Scarborough redevelopment is making times tough.
Heading over to Perth for a few days from Adelaide, foodie mate and I headed into this establishment with pretty sore heads from the night before! Oh, do we ever learn!! Couldn’t really decide what to order, so we shared 3 dishes and a dessert! Mass soaking power! Pretty happy with everything we ate, food was executed well and tasty. Small critique would be on the brulee, which had very little lemongrass taste to it and was close to curdling as should have been much smoother. We also ordered 2 serves of orange cake to take away and for the price they were the smallest slithers of cake ever!!! Service was very friendly and fairly prompt. Great fresh juice, which we needed and would probably return when I visit again!! Thanks guys!!
This is my go-to place for breakfast :) next to the beach, great coffee, good amount of bacon, but its the toast that wins me back... I love a place that isn't stingy with the bread! Hopefully when Scarborough Beach finishes its development more people will get to enjoy this restaurant (AND the best bit... its licenced!!! Bloody Mary in the morning too) :-)
Like the other cafes in the Fig chain this one is situated over looking the ocean and has a funky vintage vibe to it. The decor includes a collection of tea inspired lamps, and lighting, some very comfy chairs. The outside decking area is huge and comfortable. Perfect for a summer pit stop.
I have been here several times with friends and family and have not had a bad experience yet. They have a good online booking system which i mention simply because you can choose your title and when i arrived the staff did refer to me as Jedi ( and My Lady)....it was an easy laugh.
I recommend coffee and brunch but being the biggest Fig (to my knowledge) it can get pretty busy and there have been times when i have arrived yo quite a large queue. So I suggest booking.
Really enjoyed our breakfast here - lovely staff and service! We came after breakfast had finished but they have a few items on the lunch menu that are breakfast style. Smashed avo and eggs on fire both delicious!
I liked this place for the view and the coffee. It's a nice set up and the food is also pretty good. I found servings were a little small and also quiet a few flys buzzing around the place
What a beautiful spot for breakfast, staff are attentive and friendly and the ambience is just right. Can recommend both the freshly squeezed juices and the smashed avocado dish. Will be returning to try more!
Love this place
Such quirky ambience and great coffee
I normally have a short macchiato but the cappuccino is great too
Highly recommended if your in Scarborough
Really great vibes and great food took my boy friend here for dinner and he's not a big fan on anything but the pub, but really loved this place! Oysters were super fresh which is hard to find in Perth and mains were just as good, will definitely be back.
Congratulations - we thoroughly enjoyed our casual lunch. The view is superb, although supplied by nature, however the warm friendly service, qwerky décor and delicious food and beverages make this a new addition to our list of fave places to enjoy a quality meal. I totally loved my pumpkin gnocchi accompanied by a nutritious and delicious nut nectar smoothie. You will definitely be seeing more of us in the future.
Lovely place with lovely views of the ocean. Food is great with great service from staff. Only bad thing I can say is the parking around this area terrible. Make sure you get there earlier to get a parking spot and not be late for dinner plans.
Came here for brunch. Waited 15 mins to get a table which wasn't bad considering how busy it was. Ordered the big fig and the eggs benedict with salmon with a mocha and homemade ginger and lemon tea. The customer service was great but being busy I think the poor guys were frantically rushing. Was a good experience. Definitely better to visit either early morning or during the week.
This place has a great vibe! It can get a little busy at times but it is well worth the wait. Order the bacon sandwich, I promise you won't regret it!
We came for an evening meal. Atmosphere and service was great. Gnocchi and Salmon were great. Steak was a bit too fatty and pork belly wasn't crispy enough.
Awesome location and quite a nice brekkie. We often take visitors to Perth here for brunch to show off the beach in an awesome relaxed vibe.
Great location on Brighton Beach
Table service was friendly and efficient - maybe a little too quick - could have been a bit rushed
The menu is a bit pricey but food was very good and the loyalty card was well worth it
We sat outside and felt very comfortable
Service had improved! Although lucky we checked the bill as we'd been charged $34.00 for an "ice coffee". All dishes and drinks were tasty. Will be back at some stage :)
We only knew that they offered a free platter for ordered drinks in the happy hours upon we arrived. That's not bad. The food and drinks were all nice. The service was exceptional. The waitress replaced our water jar twice proactively. A happy meal !
Good service. Good speed for how full the cafe was for a Sunday morning. Coffees & food came out hot & everyone on our table was happy with their breakfast. Over all very enjoyable.
Very good food but a little pricy. Good service with friendly staff. Had a great beetroot salad whose portion was good, but the poached eggs on toast was a bit small considering the price.
Nice rustic themed cafe just along the beach of scarborough. Such a romantic place, no queue tho it was on saturday brunch time so it was just perfect cause i only had 1 hour for lunch. My friend had the fat banoffee pancake! Yumm its so delicious and big! I had the braised pork open sandwich which looks more like a salad but tasted awesome like some fusion betweek asian salad with pork sandwich :) will be back
The initial view from this cafe is the car park but as soon as you look past it you look out towards the ocean and beyond! Had the coolest green tea setup, although my water ran out after 2 cups staff won't say no to a refill! The big brekkie was delicious, I don't eat red meat so if was really nice to see somewhere that had chicken sausages instead of pork.
The 1 down fall was that my friends coffee took forever and when it came to us it was cold, I told her to ask for a new 1 but she was adamant on keeling it!
All in all thumbs up, I'll come back here!
Great location and decent menu. Whilst my burger was a bit dry and overcooked it was tasty. The staff were excellent. Really couldn't complain about much which was nice given we were there for around 4 hours!
Approved. The Fig does what the Fig does best, reasonable coffee in reasonable comfort later than most caffe's in Perth. Sure, you may lose an arm trying to flag down staff for 10-15 minutes, but the Fig is a big room to manage. The desserts are generally good and the view/sea air is really what the place is about.
We were looking for a spot for a coffee and a cake with an ocean view.
We found it here. I like the decor of the place, looking like they've collected their furnishing from council clean ups! They pull off the thrown together look with chairs made from tyres and light fittings made from food tins. Lucky we had lots to look at because the service was very slow despite the cafe being less than half full. When we made it, our order was not served correctly, despite me double checking with the wait staff. My vanilla milkshake was cool but not frosty cold (like I prefer them) but the coffee was apparently good. The tarts were very nice (even though I didn't really want a tart). The bathroom was a mess, not dirty but covered in paper. I think it's a shared one with Grill'd but they should still check every so often. Sorry about the photo. I forgot and started eating. Oops.
Stopped by for a morning tea with a client. Funky decor, attentive staff and tasty coffee. Vegan option was fantastic, brownie was decadent and the kids sundae had awesome brittle. @
Came here for brunch this morning and loved it! Had blankets to keep us warm while we sat outside. The service was great, we had 3 different staff who served us, all of them friendly and helpful. The coffee was perfect and food was delicious I had pankaces and my boyfriend had eggs bene. Will definitely venture to Scarborough for another brunch at the Fig! 👍
Food was excellent but waitstaff service needs to be significantly improved. Maybe there is not enough staff to cover the big size of the restaurant? We weren't approached by staff instead we had to get their attention to order. Drinks took a long time to come out.... We had our food before our drinks. Really rushed and unfocused. I'm not sure if I even remember seeing one of them smile. But the food was very delicious and fresh
It's hard to beat the view from here and we were able to follow up our meal with a stroll on the beach. Service was good. I really enjoyed my meal which was called 'Eggs on fire'. I love that you get a full chilli that you can chop up to make it as hot as you like. It's a relatively large restaurant so I think you've got a decent chance of getting a table without too much of a wait. Also, I love the option to book online. #eggsonfire
Live the decor very quirky. Food is average and a little expensive. Very busy but food came quickly. Coffee is good. Nice place to meet friends for a catch up
Such a gorgeous little cafe, love the fireplace which made it extremely cosy on a cold day with a newborn. Great coffee and muffins. I look forward to trying breakkie next time as it looked amazing on others peoples tables.
This is such a cute arty cosy little cafe, love the fireplace and blankets they have out in this cooler weather. Have been here twice for breakfast and another two times for coffees and it hasn't failed me yet. Have had the banoffee pancakes and the eggs on fire, both perfect examples of delicious food using fresh flavoursome produce. Definitely will be coming here a lot seeing I live around the corner now!
REVIEW OF WILD FIG SCARBOROUGH
Great service, food and excellent service in a lovely location. No non alcoholic beer or wine on the menu but they allowed me to BYO my own wine, even though they are licensed. Live classical band on Friday which added to the great ambience,
👍👍allowed me to drink my own non alcoholic wine, even though licensed . No non alcoholic beer or wine. Great being able to enjoy a couple of glasses of non alcoholic wine with my good friend and not feeling the odd one out - well done Wild fig
Breakfast. Wow. Bacon, eggs, pancakes and maple syrup. Yum. We had a waitress in training but she was doing okay. The Mrs also had pancakes but with chocolate and bananas. Would highly recommend the breakfast here.
Had a wonderful meal at Wild Fig Cafe tonight. Food and wine was delocious. Loved the ooey gooey fondant for dessert. Have to thank our wonderful waitress RILEY for the best service, very attentive and friendly even though she was very busy.
Nice set up, friendly staff, good food, great drinks. My fiancé proposed to me on our 2nd time here and the staff were all so happy to help him out with it. Even giving us champagne on the house! They're so sweet. Would like to see some new things on the menu though, I've already tried everything that appeals to me! Will be back soon!
Cosy outdoor area, blankets provided when it gets chilly!
Fantastic selection of fresh pastries and I'm keen to come back for breakfast soon!
Good food at the fig.. Came here with my 14yr old son for a quick meal before heading to a show, we weren't disappointed. Although it was a Friday night & we had no booking, they welcomed & seated us straight away. The service was fantastic & so were the meals!! I ordered the Crispy skin Barramundi & my son ordered the Char sui pork belly. Both dishes were amazing & the only thing my son complained about was me not letting him lick his plate clean !!! Will definitely be back.
Great food, coffee & service. Went here with my boyfriend and loved it. I had the eggs on fire and my boyfriend had the grizzly pancakes. We both had coffee. We literally cleaned our plates! The food was so so good, we were delighted! The service was really good, the atmosphere was great, loved the menu. It was our first time and we came mainly because we had an entertainment voucher! So everything only cost a total of $30! But aside from that, we loved it and we will definitely be coming back for more good food and coffee!
Great steak. As above, ordered the rump (medium) as did the 2 others at my table.
We were all really impressed with the meal. A nice surprise as reviews weren't all that good.
Service was ok, kind of robot like but still attentive.
Went for breakfast. Gr8 service, food coffee and view top notch. Eggs on fire! Bob dylan playing in the background topped off.
My second home!. The Wild Fig is one of my favourite places in Perth! I quickly discovered it upon moving to Scarborough 18 months ago. Since then, it has virtually become a second home; some weeks they've fed me more often than I've fed myself!
My friend and I recently enjoyed another wonderful dinner there. We requested a modification to one of the dishes, and the manager made an excellent suggestion and was happy to oblige, which we really appreciated!
The stand-out factor for me, however, is the ambience. It's a very relaxed cafe by day; lovely to sit outside or by the window, gaze at the passing Scarborough parade and glittering Indian Ocean, and admire the quirky decor (take a walk around - it's very creatively done and you'll often catch diners photographing various features. There is also art for sale).
By night, it takes on a completely different feel and becomes something special. Bathed in candlelight, it is cosy and inviting. I've spent many fantastic nights enjoying good wine and great conversation!
It's also perfect for solo diners. I often head there alone when I don't feel like cooking after a long day at work, and have always been so well looked after by the staff - they make me feel right at home, often stopping by my table to chat and keep me entertained!
Ambience aside, I'm also a big fan of the Fig's food. They use only free range produce, and offer numerous vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free options. My favourite dishes have been the deliciously tender osso bucco with cous cous, the flavoursome spiced eggplant filo with harissa, and the reliably amazing grass fed scotch fillet. They also have a seriously tempting range of desserts. There is a daily selection of cakes at the counter. On the dinner menu, the ooey gooey chocolate fondant is divine, but I can't go past the coconut rice with star anise, fig jam, and almond brittle. Three months after her Perth visit, my friend from Sydney still swears she'd fly back just to have it again!
I've always found the evening service attentive, friendly, and efficient. The regular wait staff cope very well with busy nights (which are quite common) - they continue to smile and chat to patrons, while the managers help to run a tight ship. Perhaps some reviewers have encountered newer staff members at times and thus less prompt or personable service. Being there as often as I am, I can certainly vouch for the key staff and have never had a problem.
My experience at the Wild Fig has been consistently good! The friends and family I've taken there have loved it, too. It thus remains my favourite Scarborough venue for its character, philosophy, food, and stunning location and views. Worth a try if you haven't been.
Good food, great view & nice staff. We stopped in here for a family brunch. We all ordered the fresh smoothies & milkshakes which were excellent.
We all order off the breakfast lunch menu and everyone enjoyed their meals a lot.
I had the bacon & pancakes and it was delicious and a generous serve. We found the staff to be friendly and accommodating.
We were here at 11am on a Friday.
Great night out!. We came in for dinner the other night. Eating out can be difficult for me as I am gluten free and vegan, however I was happy to see some options available for me. Thanks! and our waitress Nat was really patient answering our questions.
Today was my first visit to The Wild Fig. I'm so glad I came here. I could not fault a thing and I'm very picky when eating out. The staff were friendly and attentive and efficient. The food was so delicious. I would describe it as fresh, tasty and inventive. I had the squid with coleslaw and I'm so glad I did. My husband had the barramundi and he enjoyed it completely. The decor is eclectic which gave the atmosphere a delightful twist. I will be back.
Great meal!. Had a really lovely meal at the wild fig on the Vego night! Delicious veggie pasta and espresso martini! Our waitress Nat was very helpful
ALL GOOD AT WILD FIG. Stoped in for coffee and cake on Friday afternoon, its been years between visits to the wild fig, last time was back at the old Watermans location. The coffee was to my taste and cake was great. Pleasant service from our waitress Natalie, well done wild fig. We will be back soon.
First time today, food was good and coffee hot for a change. Would come back again
We went in for dinner last night and had an amazing meal. The service was outstanding. Shannen our waitress was lovely. We'll defiantly be back!!
Best service and food the pancakes were hell yum. Natalie was a really nice waitress and gave excellent service definitely coming back
My time in Australia is always filled with copious amounts of incredible food. I'm not even joking when I say 80% of my spending money is spent on food and cocktails alone, the other 20% is spent on clothes/makeup and club entry fees etc. The Fig restaurants are some of the best in Perth, there are three of them, Pickled Fig, Naked Fig, and Wild Fig...I eyed up the menu and was drawn to the steak sandwich, so I ordered it minus the beetroot. Now just look at that steak sandwich. Look at it. It was the best I've ever had...
Nice spot on the corner, coffee was Magic.... Relaxed and staff good..quick service can't fault it..
Lovely experience!!. I went into Wild Fig the other day just to grab a cake and a coffee with my girlfriend. Service was amazing! I had a lovely waitress, I think her name was Natalie. She was incredibly pleasant, and efficient. I definitely will be going back now. Thank you! :)
First time here from Melbourne great food and service back again next year
Fantastic Food! Fantastic Service!!!. I attend the Wild Fig fairly regularly, whether it’s for breakfast, lunch or dinner, and I can honestly say that I have never been disappointed!
The menus cater extremely well for a variety of different dietary requirements, and the gluten-free options are a plenty!
I went for dinner last night and was delighted with the food and service the entire evening!
Overall, delicious food, generous food servings, fantastic service and great value for money! Thanks Wild Fig!!!
Good Breakfast Experience. Fiance and I had a good breakfast experience. We ordered a Big Fig and Eggs on Fire, Fig & Pork sausage is a must try with lean pork and refeshing fig taste. Corn cake topped with Avocado could be better with extra taste on it. Overall, it's a good portion to start with the day.
Great Food And Service. Honestly after reading these reviews I feel like I must have been to a totally different cafe. Maybe it's because most people come on these kind of websites when they've had a bad experience and that feels more important to relay to potential customers than a good experience? Anyway, I registered on urbanspoon just because I would hate for other people to read these reviews and decide not to go based on that alone.
First of all, service was amazing. Friendly, attentive (without being overbearing) and relaxed, my partner and I were greeted swiftly and seated quickly. We never felt rushed, our waitress was lovely (Irish lady, nice job!) and answered questions we had about the food. The food was delicious. I had the Smashed Avocados and they were great. Perfect poached eggs that were nice and runny, plenty of avocado, honestly no complaints. Had some of my partner's Eggs on Fire and would recommend that too. The couple behind us did have some problems with their meal and you know what, I was blown away by how well the waitress and manager handled that. I had a lovely time and despite this weird urbanspoon rating you guys were pretty busy, so I can't be the only person whose had a good experience at the Wild Fig. Keep up the good work!
Great service wild fig. Jay the chef was great at accommodating my dietary requirements! The fish dish was altered to suit my crohns diet and did up a special desert aswell. We'll be back!
Birthday lunch. We went for lunch mid-week and the cafe was pretty busy. We had booked and had a outdoor table so had an unobstructed view. We enjoyed a shared plate of Duck Pate and Onion and Fig Jam on Ciabatta.... delicious contrast of tastes and I had to watch the "greedy seagull" sitting opposite me! I followed that with Barramundi on soba noodles, miso and Wood Mushrooms. My husband went for the Steak Sandwich. Both good choices... for the first time i decided to eat the crackly fish skin and really enjoyed it! Dessert for me was a Chocolate Avalanche... no wonder there was only one left in the cabinet... lucky me! It was delicious. Our other choice was a Berry Tart also declared very nice. A kind touch for those feeling cold if the sea breeze gets strong are the knee / shoulder rugs available. Just be prepared for a longish wait between courses. We didn't mind as it was a birthday celebration for me and we were in no hurry and you know they are not slapping the plate in a microwave but preparing it properly, just for you. So, be patient and enjoy the experience. Will certainly go again, staff are very friendly and helpful. Thanks to Tess who served us on the day.
Regular Goodness. I'm a regular here and I love the fact that the menu turns over so regularly. Staff are friendly although sometimes we've had to ask at the counter to have our order taken. Love their range of cakes and gluten free dishes. Not a fan if the bacon on the breakfast menu but will always return.
No idea why the Fig has some bad reviews. I visit every couple of months for brunch and always have a fab experience! Food is fantastic, fresh and generous servings. I'm allergic to dairy and love their vegan options. The pumpkin and rye bread is the best and chai in a bowl is divine. My meat-eating boyfriend loves this place too. Ignore the reviews, try it for yourself and be prepared for a good atmosphere, excellent value meals and to walk out with a big smile!
It Was All Pretty Good, Including the Wild Berry Cheesecake,. Duck Pate' & onion Marmalade, Belly pork, Bug meat pasta, followed by the best ever cheesecake, it was all very tasty and a good portion. but best still served by very pleasant and amusing staff, the live music was excellent but not over powering so you could still have a conversation while the band was playing, For us on out first night as immigrants from the UK it was a most pleasant evening, One we hope to repeat several times in the near future.
55% rating, wtf? Choc fondant so good.. Entertainment book voucher; 2 x chicken salads for 28 each only cost 28.
Good flavour, presented ok, decent service, cool venue, very busy.
Harsh rating, we really enjoyed ourselves and the chocolate fondant...omg.
Good view and nice coffee. Caught up with some friends for coffee, nice tasting and good view
Best coffee in town great staff. Always well looked after by Dave.
Coffee and dessert. Fast service, reasonable coffee and good sized dessert cakes.
Best visit so far. Pleasant lunch. Service was good....thanks Nadine.
Food arrived in 20 minutes which beats the times before when we have waited for an hour for our meal. Did have to wait just as long for our coffee ordered after our meal though.
The fig is back.. Hey we took a bunch of people to wild fig last night.
I really think there has been some major work done on improving.
Food was fantastic, service was fantastic and great relaxed feel. Well done. We stayed till closing as such a great night. 10/10 :)
Great service and food. We all enjoyed our breakfast experience at the Fig this morning. Chilli bacon was the standout but you must at least try their butter coffee. Had read about it - was interested but wary but so glad I took the plunge. Usually like my coffee black and on the weaker side so only had one shot. Next time I will try the two shot version as with the creamy taste of the butter this would work well. Service was outstanding. Attentive without being over the top but we never ever felt neglected. Been long term Figgers and its good to see that they are on their way back to high ratings!!!!
Love the wild fig. I absolutely love this restaurant, they provide delicious, healthy clean meals that are always original and inventive. I come here alot and I have never been dissapointed. Staff and friendly and caring too
Balanced. Love the Fig...always get a great coffee or fresh juice. The Staff and management all take the time to serve you and be involved in your wants and needs.Had a great breakfast mid last week, even though the place was packed on a sunny school holiday day,the wait was low and the staff very friendly and professional.
Chili Bacon with poached eggs, guacamole, potato cake and just the right amount of chilli supplied by harissa sauce and a scattering of jalapenos was a winner as was my long mac. They use a bean blended especially for them by St Ali in Melbourne and it was worth it.Pet hate for me is a bad coffee as I only drink 1 a day so to get it right first time makes all the difference
We all had a great catch up..some great food from pancakes to salmon to a healthy granola plus one amazing coffee, seamless service all with a pretty good ocean view to match
I have heard that when its busy its very busy..but our group have all decided we will be back..
The Wild Fig is a favourite of ours, and for many wonderful reasons. The food is fantastic, the staff are very friendly and the coffee warms the soul!! On those cold winter mornings we often head to the fig for a morning coffee in front of the fireplace, you couldn't ask for a better start to the day! We strongly recommend a visit to the Wild Fig for breakfast, lunch or dinner... Or just a nice relaxing coffee if that's what you're after?!? Matter of fact we are heading down there right now
Great coffee great food great service. David and all the staff at the wild fig are amazing and I should know I go for breakfast at least 4 times a week. Unlike a lot of cafés in Perth The Wild Fig is warm in the winter with a log fire keeping everyone comfortable, add to that their ability to consistently give good service good coffee and great food ,I can highly recommend a vist.
Breakfast was amazing and a beautiful view to go with!. We went to The Wild Fig for breakfast early Sunday morning and have to say was very impressed of the level of service and the quality of the food. I don't usually go out for breakfast as i always get disappointed by the lack of service and the selection of food on the menu. Lets face it, cooking breakfast like bacon and eggs ain't really worth going out for if you can cook at home! But, here at this place they serve amazing breakfasts, which you would find very hard to cook for yourself at home. I had the "chilli bacon" and it was so tasty and filling i'm going back there this week to do it again. The dish was cooked to perfection, coffee was lovely and the waiters were very friendly happy and had everything under control. Couldn't fault this place... Believe me, as i am a hard marker!!! Was a great experience and would certainly recommend this place to anyone!!
We were in Scarborough for a short holiday and chose Wild Fig for dinner on a Sunday evening. Thumbs up all around for food, service and ambiance. Polite and helpful staff and delicious, fresh food. Wish I lived closer as I would be a regular visitor.
Nasi was great. I came here with a couple of friends on the weekend recently. One of my friends had received a free birthday meal, you are able to use it within 30 days of your birthday, which I thought was quite good. I got the all day breakfast Nasi (black rice, pumpkin, bean sprouts, capsicum, julienne carrot, spinach, green beans, tomato, sweet soy, fried egg) for $19 and it was absolutely delicious. It was like nothing I would ever bother to prepare for myself to eat. Service was good, but nothing spectacular. I will go back, if only because of it's great location.
Resturant has a really nice ambience. Barramundi special was absolutely sensational and excellent value. Staff very friendly, helpful and efficient and coffee was very good. On the downside the general menu is very limited though well priced. The wine list needs to be reviewed and repriced. Great place to sit back relax and enjoy tap beer and based on overall experience will definitely be back soon.
Breakfast with the family. Yet another lovely experience at the Wild Fig. great service, delicious food what more could you ask for?
Lovely staff, and awesome warm apple pie on a cold day, they even had snuggle rugs for your legs. Thanks so much Cas you were lovely!!!
Great lunch with my Mum. Today I took my Mum out for lunch at the Wild Fig, and wow it was great. Service was fast and friendly, we were given a great table and the food was delicious. I had the tapas - what great value for money! I also liked that it's not too loud - just the right volume level. Mum and I were very happy. We'll be back soon!
Not bad. Worth a try with a voucher. We used an Entertainment voucher for breakfast & had the wilted spinach & poached eggs on toast without the hollandaise. They were decent servings and both orders of eggs were nicely poached. I found the coffee a little too milky for my liking but that's just being picky. We found the staff to be lovely and fairly attentive. With a voucher I'd go back, otherwise probably not.
Loved it. We dined relatively late on a quiet school-night and the service and atmosphere were great.
I asked for an extra-spicy meal and the chef came to check with me prior to preparing my meal, which is a level of service/interest/concern that I usually enjoy.
I'd gladly recommend the place, and would happily return.
We left full - no complaints about the portion sizes.
Hit and MIss. I've eaten here about 10-15 times, each time a different experience. the 50% rating is probably justified,
The last time was amazing though, had the Salmon Pasta and it was tops.
They have new Waitresses every time I've been there, so people complaining about the service is a little unwarranted as I assume they only have backpackers working there being in Scarborough.
If you've been once and had a bad experience I'd suggest trying it one more time as when its good its good.
First time, looove it!! Great food and fabbb juices! Friendly staff, great music at the right volumen and cool deco. Awsome!!

You MUST try the breakfast chilli salmon!!!!!!
I was very surprised by the Wild Fig. The quiet but energetic was more restaurant than cafe. The food was well priced with excellent flavour combinations and good serving sizes.
The fondant dessert was decadent!!
AWESOME. The Wild Fig is the BEST Restaurant for service, fresh food and healthy food options. The chef is creative and demonstrates he/she understands 'healthy"food. The location is fantastic, great for watching sunsets by the ocean.
We had a wonderful Valentines celebration, our waitress was exceptional- she was friendly & smiled complete with excellent service.
Valentines surprise gifts had been placed on the table as requested.
Breakfast at the Wild Fig is a great way to start the day...any day!
Best of all The Wild Fig didn't make Valentines a rip off by increasing prices, well done.
We had valentines day dinner here, my boyfriend had the fish and i had the beef cheek they where both delicous. Thankyou
Patchy but worth it. I still go to the Fig regularly, because of the location and the good food and coffee. It also has excellent air conditioning!
However, they are far from cheap! And be prepared to wait a long time at every stage.
The ridiculous pay-at-table set up is always painfully slow - you are hostage at your table until you can flag down a waitress. If they are going to pursue this, they really need faster service. But I have noticed an improvement in recent months, so hopefully they're speeding up for good!
Kezlah B. I have dined and had coffee several times at the fig during the last year. The food is lovely and always well presented. The service and attitude of some of the staff has at times been very poor, however the last visit was a complete turnaround.
The food arrived promptly and the young girl (Beth) served our coffee exactly as ordered. She had a very professional and friendly manner.
Adam. I was dubious going to The Wild Fig after seeing only 54% on urbanspoon, but I must have got lucky as had an awesome coffee made by the very lovely Beth. Will be heading back to give it another shot shortly!
Wish I lived closer because the barista Beth makes such an awesome soy latte!! Still it's worth the trip!
Popped by for a takeaway coffee, quick service and great coffee by the barista Beth
Beth made me a great coffee with great service this morning :)
Loving the single origin blend ATM and Beth's funky latte art. Slowly becoming my favourite coffee hang out. Haven't tried the food yet, but will be back soon no doubt!
Great coffee and great service. Every time we're there Beth (I think that's her name) always greets us with a smile and top notch service.
Lunch Time. Good food, excellent service, Beth did everything to make sure we were looked after even though it was very busy!
Coffee. Fast and scrumptious coffee by Beth. Best thing at 6am!
Nice Coffee.... The coffee is very good here, one of the best in Perth I reckon. The barista Beth knows me by name, and always makes me a nice cup.
Tess. Great food! Have dined here a few times now and food spot on very time. The staff are hit and miss and today the waitress clearly didn't want to be there. Last visit the hostess wasn't keen to set a walk-in table for 4+ 2 little ones (who are used to eating out at restaurants) quickly beckoning another walk-in group of 4 adults through whilst we were left standing in the hall beside 2 vacant tables for some 35mins waiting for seating and takeaway drinks.
Hit 'em up for Breakfast. Went for breakfast with a group. If The Wild Fig was an airline, it'd be the one that had the air stewards that ensured you were comfortable and came prompt with your meals, they run around ensuring there's enough water for all and also that everyone had what they needed.
Premium economy feel, slighty cramped, a bit hard to get around tables, but once you settle in, it's not that bad. Sea breeze is a welcome and lots of funky decoration.
Food wise, was great, filling, and fulfilled my addiction to mushrooms in breakfast.
I had the beet salad with chorizo. Absolutely delicious and to die for! Service was friendly and atmosphere very funky. Would definitely go back, and I live in Sydney!
We went on a very busy Sunday night so the service was slow and the waitress forgot a couple of things we ordered but the food was amazing! Tasty, healthy and original dishes. Definitely going back, hopefully on a quieter night!
Amazing Dessert. Second time been there. Went there for an afternoon tea with the girls this time. Love their cakes and dessert, especially the chocolate pudding (ooey gooey). Great atmosphere, decor and nice staffs. Just be mindful to book a table in advance if going at the weekend to avoid waiting for a table. Otherwise, a happy customer I am.
Came for lunch on Sunday afternoon. Relaxed atmosphere and prompt service. We had baby in buggie; manager pulled windbreak glass and turned music down when he saw baby sleeping, without us even requesting it. Brownie points there.
Food was also very good. Vegetarian pasta with sage beurre noisette really buttery and yummy cheese on top. Fish special was excellent, plain clean honest tastes and good vfm. The freshly pressed watermelon juice was also yum.
Will be coming back.
We went here for breakfast yesterday with a large group and added 2 more people last minute. The staff was more than happy to accommodate as well as make room for 3 prams. The coffee orders were taken continuously and we weren't hurried to place our orders for food. When we finally did the food came out all together (no easy task for a table of 12 and a packed restaurant) and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals. Good food & great service. I'd highly recommend this place.
Breakie Review. This cafe situated in a magic spot on the beach is consistently delish! I travel to Perth regularly for work and this cafe is always on my hitlist for breaky lunch or dinner. The service is always with a smile and the food is fresh, unique and beautiful. Yet to have a bad experience and cannot understand how this restaurant has not received higher ratings!
Definitely worth a visit to check it out for yourself :)
Love this place. I've just been reading all the negative reviews that people have posted about Wild Fig and thought I better help them out with a good review.
I've been living in Scarborough for about 2 years now and we have eaten (breakfast, lunch and dinner) here no less than 40 times. Not once have I been disappointed. Mornings can be quite hectic and you may have to wait 15-20 mins for a take away coffee but they let you know the wait time and there is a nice big day bed style couch to chill on and read their paper (winter you can sit in front of the fire). I love that this place is visually eclectic. I've never experienced any of the ultra bad service that others have mentioned. Food has always been fantastic. Sometimes I go there for lunch on a weekday when its quiet and have one glass of wine too many. I've joined their 'frequent flyer' thingy too. But honestly, when I read all the negative reviews my instant thought was that this could be the work of 'rent a troll' type bloggers, maybe from a rival restaurant? My suggestion is if you are reading reviews to decide if you will go to this restaurant, go and make up your own mind. If you're going for breakfast, try the home made baked beans, yumo! Good food & great atmopshere!. A friend and I caught up on a stormy Sunday night, almost swept away by the neighbouring sea spray and wind from Scarborough beach. Luckily, we were quickly escorted inside by the staff of Wild Fig and seated in the cosy warm corner of the restaurant.
The Wild Fig has a rather extensive menu covering almost all your standard meats and seafood, as well as offering tapas, a solid list of daily specials and the option of a kids menu.
I had one of the specials of the night, Orecchiette with sage butter, spinach pine nuts & roasted pumpkin (~$24). Generally, I love my meat but this was a delicious delicately executed pasta dish. Our waitress of the night was a lovely, informative lady who told me that orecchiette was shaped like eyes (they kind of reminded me of pasta contact lenses) and was happy to provide us with multiple water bottles throughout the night. The dish was delicious – the sage butter hadn’t been too over the top and didn’t submerge the pasta in oil; the pasta was also well cooked and there was a delicious combination of flavours and textures from the nutty crunch of the pine nuts, the earthy smooth roasted pumpkin and just wilted spinach. It was also huge and extremely filling. Yum.
My friend had the Fish Special of the day (~$34) with beetroot, tomatoes and spinach. The dish had a confronting splash of vibrant pink beetroot sauce on the fish, which looked out of place but ultimately a nice accompaniment to the fish. The fish was just cooked and had a crispy skin. Very good.
For desserts, we shared the Chocolate Fondant (~$13) which was amazing and a highlight of the night. The chocolate fondant had its expected crunchy top and molten centre and was piping hot. Presentation wise, it was very elegant – the fondant off the side in a ramekin, a sweeping blob of raspberry coulis on the side and a scoop of icecream topped with a mint leaf at the very top of the plate. Delicious.
One thing I loved about the Wild Fig was the live music they were playing that night, complete with some great vocalists and acoustic covers. There was a great laid back vibe about the Fig and the service was great, allowing for a great casual dining experience. On top of that my friend was a member of the Fig Club which meant we got a discount, meaning I paid just under $30 for a decent meal! Keen to come back and try this place when the weather fines up!
Eight out of Ten Orecchiettes w sage butter.
Would never go somewhere with only 53% likes but a friend wanted to and we all absolutely loved it! Beautiful atmosphere, surroundings and good! Will be back!
Best value, service and view. We have eaten at the WILD GROUP of restaurants and thought it about time we told other people who are thinking of going for a meal at one of their establishments.
We generally go to the WILD FIG a lunch and have got to say that the food has always been terrific with the customer service being second to none....you are made to feel special from the time you walk in to the time you leave. You don't even have to line up at the register to pay it is all done at your table.
I can recommend this as one of the restaurants to try if you have not....they are on the beach front at Scarborough.
Quality night. Charmed with the experience
Will have to find out who is the chef now as two meals + a lunch there. Meals are understated - the menu should elaborate more on the various dishes especially mains. Some friends who hunt around for good pork belly should definetely know about this place.
Well organised setup that displayed some sophisticated design to the restaurant.
Didn't make a selection from the wine list
Jazz music duo added to a romantic ambience too
Will be back soon as evenings like offerred here are not too common
Great meal and service! I've eaten here about five times and never been disappointed! This time I had the steak sandwhich and it was delicious. Friends I was dining with had the chicken salad, poor boy Indian and the pasta- everyone loved their meals!!!!
Great place to enjoy a good meal within a relaxing place next to the beach.
Was while my business trip three times here, once for breaky and twice for dinner. Everytime great and friendly service, perfect food and always the right amount. I highly recommend this place for everyone which enjoys good food in a nice ambiente.
Dropped in off an impromptu dinner while in the area on Wednesday evening. The place was a buzz with patrons which was surprising for mid week. Service was fast and friendly and the food was honest fare. Would visit again.
Love it!. Being a Scarborough local I can see why businesses are so hesitant to open up here after reading all the hate for this place.
Iv visited the wild for over a year and like most places they have their good and their bad days but coffee is consistently good and staff are all friendly and polite.
not sure how being 'over crowded' is a complaint.... surely it shows how popular they are??.
I love the ethical part of their business especially the support for the MS society each year and rotating local art exhibitions.
Probably one of the best steak sangas around with an even better beer selection recently... fair enough they are not Jacksons but they are a hell of a lot better (and cheaper!) than Dome or any other choice in Scarborough at the moment.
don't listen to the negative guys, you brighten my day when I visit! Thanks Wild fig!
The vegetarian pan fried gnocchi with thyme butter, cherry tomatoes, red onion, baby spinach and almond flakes - AMAZING! Definitely worth a try. A delicious night at the fig.
Had a great evening here. Quirky, funky venue, good food and good selection of drinks. A bit pricey but thats Perth. The staff were great. Couldn't do enough for our table of 8. Even Organised a cake.
Will definitely go back & would recommend. Nice one!
LOVED IT. We had dinner there and the food was flawless. The salmon was cooked to perfection and the mixture of flavours was so delicious. Our waitress was so friendly and helpful. I had a lovely evening there. I want to go back and try the breakfast menu. Also love that its dog friendly
A Very Pleasant Surprise. We visited The Wild Fig last night as it was the nearest restaurant to our accommodation and the weather was stormy. We entered with some trepidation as we had read some unflattering reviews. What a pleasant surprise! The service was spot on, the food was excellent ( the duck was perfect and the gnocchi was a very tasty and nicely balanced dish) - in fact we couldn't fault anything at all. They were quite busy too, so maybe they've turned the corner. We'll certainly be back again to see.
Great steak, great dinner. Not a cheap eat-out, but their steak was juicy and adequately marinated even though it was well-done. Had the same dish twice already.
The food here is great, the coffee is good, but the service is inconsistently good
Drinks
Like I said, good coffee but nothing mind blowing.
Food
A good range of options with healthy, fresh produce. The big breakfast is a winner for me. Their home made been salsa is really good too
Make sure you book otherwise you may be disappointed with the wait
Been for breakfast and dinner. Thought both were very nice. It can get busy at times so make sure you book!! Lovely location.
Great coffee, good food. We love coming here as it is always a great atmosphere with staff who know how to make a great coffee. food is consistently good, a bit pricey but worth it. the fig jam they sell is delicious!
Great Service and Food. I checked out urbanspoon prior to going here (not booked by me) and was very worried by all the bad reviews. Our experience was fantastic. The service was excellent, from start to finish, and we weren't easy-to-please patrons with a toddler, dietary requirements etc.
The food was excellent. The two who ordered the chicken salad were raving about it. "Best chicken salad in Perth", I believe was the quote from one of them. One of our party loved the two little pigs and the pasta special was a hit with another.
I can't understand some of these negative reviews based on the experience we had. It was a Monday night, but reasonably busy. We'll definitely be back.
Went for Sunday brunch at 10. Was told there would be a 10-15min wait so walked to the beach & came back in 8mins & went up to the counter to check how much longer, was told they already called us. Girl was a little annoyed but said she'll try fit us in. We were seated in the next 10mins. Our server was a really sweet & friendly girl. When we were seated, noticed about 5 empty tables around so not sure what was up with that.. Wanted the ooey gooey (wasn't on breakfast menu, but thought i'd give it a shot) so asked the girl if we could have it, was very nice & offered to ask the kitchen, unfortunately, I was too early! Ordered the canadian pancakes & normal pancakes with a milkshake & hot chocolate. Drinks served very quickly & food followed quite soon after! Yummy food & great atmosphere (if you go with friends) not sure if I'm brave enough to go by myself! Definitely will come back later on during the day & try the famous ooey gooey & let you know if it lives up to the reviews! (:
Amazing breaky. Im a fan of their breakfast! I often come with my freinds and we always order the same things!
The veggi breakfast is delicious and very tasty (which I love because veggie food can get boring), the sweet pancakes are yum and the bagbad eggs are so different and suprrisingly good!
We had great service and were very well looked after everytime we visited,
The only down side would be the price...
But overall, keep on the good work guys, we love your restaurant and atmosphere!
:-)
I had the crab & angel hair pasta today, with extra chilli, as suggested by the waitress, it was really enjoyable. Staff were friendly and knowledgable about the menu, I found the service efficient, all in all a great experience. Chocolate cake to die for.
Tops. Had a great meal in friendly relaxed atmosphere.
The staff were very friendly and obliging, with a professional manner. Didn't reach over us to serve or clear, and waited for everyone to finish, and checked before clearing anything.
Three of us shared three entrees which was not a problem for the restaurant. We enjoyed three dips with assorted breads ( warm and crisp on the outside, soft inside), the grazing plate, and a prawn salad. The food was lovely; fresh and nicely flavoured. We didn't manage to finish the plates because we wanted to try the desserts.
These were delicious, and came with fesh napkins for each of us. The Eton mess is a sugar overload :)
We asked for the coffees to come with dessert, and were pleasantly surprised when it happened.
Loved the jazz band that came and played a song for at our table.
Entered the restaurant with trepidation after reading some reviews, left it a fan.
Valentine day. Had a great meal and service. Have been to this place at least 6 times and enjoyed every time. If u don't like it, more room for us . Cheers.
Scarborough LOVE. I love the fact that the Fig moved down the road from me in Scarborough, finally there is a decent café that cares about customers. They have funky décor and always something new to look at :) Lovely staff who remember me and owners with a sense of humour and flare for doing this differently. The food is fantastic and always changing. If you get a loyalty card like I have you get meals and coffee for FREE YAY!! So yes they can be very busy but that is what happens when a place is well liked pre-book if you can. If you go for a takeout drink remember its not Gloria jeans be patient chill out on the awesome sofa and relax. :) Life isn't always a race. Best place in Scarborough for a feed, coffee or drinks. Keep up the good work you amazing people :)
You can't fault the view. We had confusion our booked table on arrival, a long wait for drinks, a longer wait for the meals and the gnocchi was served dry, with no pesto sauce. These aren’t the qualities of a top restaurant, but then maybe The Wild Fig isn't trying to be that.
On the flip side, the pork, salmon and beef meals were all lovely. The sea breeze and the views made it most pleasant. Mains for us all and drinks worked out around $50 a head.
All in all, it’s a nice beachy place to eat on a hot summer’s night, at a reasonable price.
Fabulous. Relaxing and easy with a classy feel about it - great friendly service and fabulous vegan and vegetarian options. Never disappointed!!
Beware of sweaty cycle seats under your nose. We visited this establishment on a weekend in January. We had a pleasant breakfast spoiled by a sweaty bike seat under our nose as we sat outside on a pleasant morning. The cycle ruined our view of the ocean.
We were surprised that the staff had not asked the cyclist to move their bikes to a more appropriate position. Perhaps a bike stand provided for them by the council.
While the service was pleasant it was slow. We enjoyed our above average food but we could not take the cramped conditions and smelly cyclists and their sweaty bike seats so we left.
Good food, bad cocktails. Went there for dinner. The service was very good and staff were friendly. Food was also very good, both our meals were filling and tasty. I wouldn't recommend the cocktails, at $17.50 each they are expensive and not mixed properly, it was obvious that the person who made them is not experienced in cocktail making, the individual alcohol and mixer portions were incorrect, my mango capriossa ended up being a glass of very thick pureed mango heavily laced with lime, which required a spoon to eat it, not pleasant.
Absolutely wonderful dining experience!. We had dinner at the Wild Fig Cafe last night with some overseas family and we were completely delighted by the amazing evening we had. We were greeted by the very friendly dreadlocked maître d'hôtel who didn't bat an eyelid when we told him that two of our orginally six booked party couldn't make it. We had an awesome table looking over the ocean and superb sunset. Our waitress, Kaitlyn, was just gorgeous - smiley, friendly, efficient and couldn't have done enough to ensure we had all that we needed. We had the grazer plate to start... what a perfect mix of some fabulous flavours and so good to share.
For mains two of us had the duck (cooked perfectly rosé) and agreed that the purple carrot mash and witlof were a perfect combination. The steak was awesome (cooked perfectly rare) and the two little pigs was totally delicious and devoured with gusto... and for dessert, the fig orange crepes and eton mess were fantastic! Again, perfect combinations of flavours and 'pops' in the mouth with the eton mess meringue. Yu-um!
To absolutely top it off... we could actually hear each other speak because the noise level seemed just right and there was this very excellent live band playing (clarinet, tuba, banjo and trumpet) some wonderfully nostalgic pieces. They performed a beautifully sung (La Vie en Rose) at our table in honour of our French guests. They wandered around doing requests at all the tables and didn't stop all night - other diners loved them, and so did we!
Hats off to the Wild Fig Cafe Scarborough, because despite the negative reviews on this site, they pulled off a most memorable evening for us and our guests were just delighted, and so were we... we will all think back about that night and reminisce about how 'fantastique' it was!
Lucky us... we will get to go back (in fact, it's all we can think about!) but our poor guests will have to wait until they grace our shores again.
Location Location. If you want to enjoy a meal with an amazing view of the beach, look no further. Even better if you have some of the entertainment book vouchers. The menu can be a bit pot luck, but I've eaten here about five times and have enjoyed every meal. Quality ingredients, at least you know it is fresh and they favour organic or free range products which is high on my list when eating out. I love the other two Fig restaurants too, the one in South Fremantle and Swanbourne. Make sure you book unless you want to wait for ages. Also, the staff do need to do something about the toilets, looks like a bomb went off in there.
Not bad. Been here a couple of times now. Once for breakfast and once for lunch. Was happy with the breakfast and service. I had the eggs with corn relish and potato cake and a chai latte takeaway. Lunch was also nice however I found the servings were too small and quite expensive and the staff weren't as attentive as the first time we visited.
We loved it. The reviews were so bad I had to check that I had the correct venue. we had breakfast there this morning and as an avid coffee drinker I thought this was one of the best coffees I have ever tasted. the breakfast was enjoyable and quickly delivered to our table. yum. we will def go back although hope our service is not as bad as othrs have had
BREAKFAST!!!!. Amazing. Went for breakfast on a Monday. Outside table overlooking the beautiful ocean. Fantastic service. I want to go again today.
Very Good. Loved this restaurant. Steak was superb. Cooked to perfection. Deserts great as well. Service pretty good. Will be back
Vego night :). Went as a group of 4 to vego night last night. Ordered the vegetable jenga x2, the vegan stew, and the vegan pasta. Friendly and efficient service set them apart from the Pickled Fig in South Freo (where previously we'd struggled just to get a menu, let alone some food). Meals came out quickly, and we shared the vegan brownie for dessert, leaving us all super full. Or maybe it was the wine. They were good at keeping the wine coming ;)
With the entertainment coupon it came out at great value (about $100 between 4 of us). Would recommend!
Visited the fig today for breakfast with friends contrary to poor reviews.what a pleasant surprise, service food coffee all good on time and delicious which surprised us all. This is how it should always be!
Great desserts. The Wild Fig has impressed me with their great range of cakes, friands, and tarts. They offer a lot more gluten-free, dairy-free, sugar-free and vegan desserts than I have seen in most places. The desserts aren't over priced (currently $7 a piece) and presented nicely when it comes out on the plate. I would recommend this cafe for a brunch or an afternoon tea/coffee catch-up.
Loooove it. Always busy (which is always a good sign) and we're always happy to wait as they have a fabulous view, great food, and the vegan options are super tasty. Wine and coffee are also some of the best in the area.
My picks; Fatima Salad and the Big Fig..
I don't usually write reviews but felt the need to say "wake up Perth" How else are businesses meant to make a quid if you sit around all day, give the (always friendly)staff a break they are doing their Job. IF you want to sit around all morning, I recommend after you dine, grab a takeaway coffee then take advantage of one of Perths iconic beaches.
It's simple courtesy for both the business and the people who are waiting for your table.
All-in-All: WildFig the great-all-rounder
Nice Vibe. Great value meals and a nice feel when they have a a band playing. These people want you to be there!
I have heard great things of the wild fig for breakfast, have been now a few times and it has been pleasant all the time. i always get the eggs on fire with the added jalapenos and have never been disappointed. although lunch and dinner service is always a let down.
Been for dinner twice now, once was just a normal night and had a lovely time, good atmosphere, good service and tasty food! I had the rissoto and it was delicious! Good sized meals, average prices and good quality food.
The second time i went was for the vego night and again i had a lovely night with overall excellent food and good service. The only bad thing i can say about my food (i got the stuffed mushrooms) was that the stuffing was a bit mushy but the rest of the food on the plate was tasty!
Other people i was with got the pea rissoto which was aparently yum, although the serving was HUGE! Bit unapetising for me, but good value for money! Someone else got the four cheese gnocchi which she said was a bit bland with no flavour as we didnt think they didn't used any full flavoured cheeses. Someone else got a tasting plate which i think was ment more for a sharing dish, but the waiters never told us this (not sure if it was just assumed or not).
The one bad thing that none of us were happy with was that we felt a bit rushed out of the restaurant. As soon as we finished our meals, they cleaned them away and asked us if we wanted the sweets menu, when we said no, they got us the bill without even asking us if we wanted it or not. Although this only happened the second time i went, the first time we weren't rushed out, maybe it was just a once off.
Coffee was good and there wa.... Coffee was good and there were a few different gluten free cakes available. The cafe had views of the sea, which was nice. Service was a tad bit slow though.
Breakfast of win. Wonderful breakfast last weekend, expensive but very tasty. Food was fantastic and coffee excellent. Best strawberry milkshake ever and also first time I've ordered dessert with breakfast... Expensive but a nice treat. Not somewhere I'd go *every* weekend, but enjoyable as a splurge.
Good for the area. Its about time the area of scarborogh got some funk. Food belowe standard but funky lay out
Came here for breakfast today. The service was great and the food came out quickly. I ordered the grizzly bear pancakes and they were delicious.
First thoughts about The Wild Fig, 1) really cozy with a lot of warm colors ! 2) very unique design restaurant , something new and staff provide excellent service ! 3) ocean views with still that touch of being in a city area with passing cars ! 4) FOOD - filling, warm, tasty, value & to many good things to say ! ... Go pop into this lovely restaurant for its definitely something to experience !
Review made by Ruan & Mel , 2 ordinary city people with a little adventure on searching for the perfect restaurant ! ( 8.5/10 ) for The Wild Fig ! :D
Very pleasantly surprised. Having read quite a lot of dire reviews(some of which were quite recent) and hearing similar reports from friends, I was prepared for a lacklustre evening recently.
The 1st to arrive on a Thurs evening for a booking of 5, I was greeted, seated and had the way the place operates explained to me in a prompt and friendly manner. In fact, service throughout the evening was efficient and warm, with staff also showing a knowledge of the current menu and cakes in fridge. Even when our table were the last to leave at 10.45pm, we were not made to feel unwelcome.
General concensus at our table was that food was quite tasty, and drinks reasonably priced.
Desserts were a highlight, and were thoroughly enjoyed.
Asking for the bill to be issued a 2nd time(having forgotten that 2 of us had Entertainment Book Cards) was not an issue at all, and basically amounted to the cost of our drinks for the evening being deducted. So a bonus on top of a pleasant evening!
Having had morning tea there previously, I am now looking forward to breakfast there in the near future.
Old favourite. Went here for a casual monday morning brunch with friends, first time at the new location as I regularly visited it in Watermans. Had a lovely eggs benedict with salmon, and went with vegetarian friends of mine who were able to chose yummy meals without meat. A bit pricey but worth it for a treat now and then & great new decor, retro and recycable ideas all around!
Met friends for dinner last Saturday night with mixed feelings because of the poor reviews to date. I can't say for the others in our group, but my experience and meal there was FANTASTIC. Polite, bubbly waitress was attentive but not clingy and we were seated and watered right away. I could see some sourpuss-looking staff around however but we scored with our girl. I had a mango infused beer which was a bit like a shandy crossed with a cider - not to my liking - but it was different. For dinner I had the squid / chorizo salad and it seriously was THE best squid salad I ever had. Go there with low expectations and you'll hopefully be as pleasantly surprised a I was. I figured a positive review was well deserved as I read mostly negative opinions before dining there. Good job.
Dinner was amazing, the service was wonderful, the Pinot noir tasted great and the food was delicious, well thought out and presented. Must try the breakfast menu soon and looking forward to going to the vegetarian night on a Wednesday :)
Had dinner here on a Wednesday night. All meals were lovely and generously portioned. Not sure why everyone is whinging about the service because our waitress was gorgeous and attentive. Granted it took a little longer that ideal for the meals to come on a fairly quiet night, but there's greater tragedies in the world. Will be back.
Loved the decore. My smoothie was wonderful and breakfast was edible. I was served by a polite and friendly waitress. Some confusion about where to settle the bill, but i will deffinatly be returning :)
No poached eggs?. Ive been here for breakfast the past three weekends in a row. the first two times we came it was awesome, the service was good and the food tasted great and fresh. the last time we came we were told there was no poached eggs (how does that even work??) although they had scrambled and fried eggs. the meal i ordered wasnt that great compared to the last time I had ordered the same meal. I was dissapointed but would come back to give them another chance because maybe it was just the fact their chef was off. still, who cant make poached eggs?
Good food, service could be better. Telephone booking process was painful when trying to increase from 5 to 7 diners despite there being plenty of room on the night - nearly cancelled before we went as a result. Upon arrival greeting was not particularly friendly or helpful. Food quality and quantity was good and they were even more than willing to prepare a dish not on the menu. Didnt like the lack of bill at the end of the meal - had to track down the waiter who read the bill from his electronic gadget. Would be willing to go back again but hope management reads these reviews.
Made online booking; only wait 5 minutes for table. Service prompt but very average chicken salad. Left unsatisfied but good atmosphere. Wild Fig emailed me survey and provided honest feedback about food. Management replied with response indicating had raised my feedback with chef and operations manager. Definitely will give the wild fig another because of their efforts.
I go to wild fig quite often for breakfast, love the eggs Benedict and the chai is delicious. I recommend here quite often to friends
Luca- u made my day today, thank you for the birthday cupcake :)
Nice food, nothing to rave about tho... Great location and the staff were lovely and attentive which would make me concider going back again.
Very pleased.Highly recommended. Had a couple of early evening meals at the fig, managing to squeeze in before the rush. Atmosphere, staff, service, menu and food all fantastic. Especially pleasing to find somewhere that carnivores, strict vegatarians, young and older family members are all more than catered for. Highly recommended and will certainly go again. One of our favorites in these parts. Really loved the beef wellington. Al
Great place. I was worried the service might be bad but luckily I wasn't treated with bad manners when I was there :) the food is quite nice, although the naughty and nice pancake is a bit sweeter than how I would like it , the mushavo is quite yum!
Great location as you can go to the beach straight after breakfast. Food is not spectacular but nice!
I went for breakfast mid week with my 4yr old and 13mth old. Breakfast was good (7/10) but the service was excellent. We were given. A seat by the day bed where are all the toys are. My 4th old was given a bar stool so she could reach her food at the table. The staff were extremely attentive toasted us. This was my 3rd visit to The Wild Fig Scarborough and by far the best.

Was nervous about giving this place a go after some less than glamorous reviews and a low percentage vote. However though it is pricey (guess that is for views over a car park to the sea) my breakfast was good and coffee ok. Must have been as I ordered a second. Service was good, but it was a quiet morning. With limited places on the coast and at this end of town, I would try it again. My only gripe, and this a general gripe to all restaurants is make sure you have plenty of stock, to run out of something as simple as jalapeño is poor management.
Great place but.... Great place, location, decor, but the service is a bit slow. Mind you this is refreshing sometimes when you don't need to rush.. Food is good but certain portions are not much. The staff is VERY friendly.
Looking forward to go back during a future trip Down Under!
More than happy to end up at the Fig when another local restaurant failed to offer anything substantial for dessert
Recommended. Everyone in our group of 8 enjoyed their meals, even one of us who missed out on quiche which had run out, but in the end she was glad since she loved the eggs benedict (as did I.) Everyone loved the decor- fun to look at. I'd like to sit in the green grass section next time, so I'll try to go at a less busy time. Coffees were great. Waiter and waitress were extremely pleasant, smiled nicely and were attentive.(young man and young woman). Need to book several days ahead for a weekend breakfast was my experience.
The steak sandwich. It was delicious, and made using free range meat, which is even better.
27/01/12 Happy Diners. Great food ,fantastic friendy service, relaxing atmosphere. cant fault the place. thankyou and welldone! 10/10
Have been to the fig in watermans bay and now Scarborough many times and have had great food coffee and service every time. Staff are friendly, helpful and attentive and have always made an effort to get us a table as soon as possible. Eggs on fire is my 'go to' brekky with the naught but nice pancakes a close 2nd. The Fig has cemented itself as a favourite for us and we are happy 'Fig Fave'
Went here twice in our Scarborough stay. Funky interior and friendly staff set a good atmosphere - the place was busy both times so the wait at the door understandable. Great food, ok coffee (ask for a double shot if getting a flatty / latte).
No spinach?. I LOVE that the wild fig has free internet. It's about time someone showed that basic level of service in Perth. I have been going there for a couple of hours to work and I inevitably end up with a coffee, smoothie, a snack and lunch. With the slow, and sometimes scattered service, you also do not get bothered too much.
The other day I ordered the green smoothie and they kindly informed me that the kitchen was out of spinach. OUT OF SPINACH? How can a breakfast joint be out of spinach? So made the gentle, and very obvious suggestion that they pop up the street to Coles to buy some more. In fact, even I offered to go for them. Turns out they did, and I got my smoothie - 40 mins later.
The views, decor and ambiance are fabulous, the food is satisfactory, but the wait time, organization and management need some work. I hope the bosses are reading these reviews because the Wild Fig has such potential.
Quite simply the best food experience I've had in a long time!
Great food, great service. We went in for breakfast on a Sunday morning and after reading some reviews I was aprehensive but I found myself pleasantly surprised! There was a line at the door when we got there, but thankfully we booked and were seated immedietly by a friendly young waitress and another came over shortly and we ordered some coffees, which came to us fairly quickly and were absolutely delicious. We then ordered breakfast, myself having the eggs on fire and my partner ordering the big fig. The meals only took around 15 minutes to come out which was understandable given how busy it was. But it was worth the wait, with both of us practically licking the plates, the food was amazing. The staff were also very quick at clearing the table and were very friendly. I am surprised that other reviews critisised the staff because although they were very young, they were very helpful and friendly. We paid (which we were reminded numerous times was to be done at the table) and left the wild fig with smiles and fully bellies and with every intention of returning.
Came here for dinner, loved the decor and ambiance, food was well done, the ent. card came in handy too. Staff were ok, could have been a bit more attentive throughout the evening.
It's a hit with me!. This place has a great fit-out - lots of reused materials, mismatched chairs and tables, interesting light fittings and great use of accessories to break the space up so it felt less a large chain cafe and more of an intimate space. We were sitting inside but I'd happily sit outside and while away a few hours in this place drinking coffee and taking in the view (across the carpark... but it's better than the location in Watermans when you had to contend with the traffic and noise of West Coast Drive).
The service got off to a slow start but drinks were served within minutes of ordering, and food was on our tables within approx 30 minutes - not bad for a busy Friday lunchtime. I got the Roasted salad and it was just gorgous - hunks of roasted veges including beetroot, potato, pumpkin, carrot and onion, mixed with baby spinach, danish feta, pine nuts and balsamic dressing. It was also served with warm wholewheat bread. The meal was perfect for me - it was fresh, tasty, and quite simply, along with my pint of Little Creatures cider, really hit the spot.
All in all I'd definitely be back. Although a word of warning, they don't cater for groups larger than 10 - at all. Tried to make a booking for 12 and was met with a flat-out no. So the inflexibility is a bit dissapointing, although I guess they have their reasons...
Great to have another cafe in scabs - have been here twice already - first time had lunch for three - food was nice & servings generous - they need to drop the price of Hoegaarden on tap though - awesome that mango beer is on tap - other time i was riding with a mate & stopped in at 10pm on a friday night for a drink - no problem! had a tasting platter washed down with 3 mangos - yum
Polly. We waited and waited, finally served by a lovey young thing, gushing sorry about delay busy bla bla when the place was half empty. We ordered coffee and cake, we were told to expect a 20 mnute wait - what for coffee and cake! C & C arrived after 10 minutes, more gushing too much... Cake was great coffee was good. Benefit of the doubt, new staff learning. Will return.
I know other people have complained about the wait but we booked ahead so we didn't have a problem with that. Our coffees did take a little while to make it to our table but it was a busy Saturday morning. I had the veto breakfast and my partner had the spicy breakfast, they were both delicious and big servings. And a nice change for Perth, the prices were reasonable too. Also love the decor, overall loved it
Patience is a virtue. The Wild Fig looks funky and the food is divine...however be prepared to wait...and wait and wait. I would recommend giving this place a try in a few months time when the kitchen has sorted out it's teething problems.
Amazing food and atmosphere, unfortunately let down by slow service and some unhelpful staff...
Yummy food, too long a wait. If only the wait for our food wasn't so long, I wouldn't hesitate to come back. Our food took around an hour to come. In the meantime they offered us a drink on the house. When the food did come, it was very nice, however not sure it was worth the long wait! I would think the waiting time was just a once off however the numerous other reviews suggest it is not. Will give it a little while before I come back in the hope they employ more staff to cut waiting time.
Slow service, snapper was tough and taste of lime aoili was non- existent. I agree with others re: sitting in a car park. Decidedly agerage!
Loves it!!! Ate here last weekend and food was fantastic. Really enjoyed the lamb, cooked to perfection. Staff are learning but there are enough who know what they are doing to pick up the slack. P.s best coffee I have had in ages. Defiantly will be back to the Wild Fig Scarborough
Great!. Loved it.... friendly wait staff and delicious, fresh menu options.
A little too laid back. Tried out the new 'Fig' place yesterday (late sunday arvo). It is a very relaxed and chilled out atmosphere which suits its beautiful beach setting well. Unfortunately the service is a little too 'chilled'. After 20 mins of being ignored I had to seek some service which was still another 5 minutes and it was not even busy. The food was up to normal Fig standard though, just a shame about the staff.
Finally a decent cafe in scarborough! we went on a sunday morning and it was super popular with a line going out the door, but the line moves quickly so we were able to get a seat very quickly. Inside, the place is very funky- tables made out of doors with door knobs still attached, astro turf on the walls and floor, lights made out of tin cans and beaters and beautiful views of the ocean. We shared two tapa plates and had 2 drinks between the two of us and were easily full. We had the trio of dips which came with an assortment of breads including olive bread and we had the arancini balls. The arancini balls in particular were delish. The chai tea came in a bowl which was a nice touch and the jungle fever juice was sweet and filling. The service was really friendly and plates were quickly taken away. Can't wait to go back
We were really hoping this wasn't going to be another cafe with a great view but average food and service like so many others on the coast (Inc The Naked Fig). In its first week and first Sunday I don't think we can be too harsh but the brekkie; pancakes = dry and scrambled eggs/salmon on toast was pretty average. The coffees were a llittle too milky for our liking. We got there at 8.30 and shortly after a line formed. I'm sure this will get worse as word spreads on the new location. The room is cool with a small area for kiddies and a park opposite also helps. One thing that is worth a mention is Ryan the waiter who's service style and personality were fantastic. It really suited the venue. It's a shame there aren't hundreds of him out there to pick up Perth's service game. So, would we go back? Probably not in a hurry.
My new favorite cafe!. It's about time that Scarborough had it's own down to earth, comfy, relaxed cafe. The coffee is great... Cakes and muffins are delicious (the banana, white choc, macadamia muffin was sensational)... Looking forward to dinner there...
Fantastic experience! I had the Salmon with Beetroot Risotto fir main and the best Creme Brûlée I've had for dessert! Excellent value.
We peruse the menu and there is a vegetarian side and a carnivore side. I look at both as I love vegetarian food almost as much. Although, I have to be honest, I love steak. I love it when its juicy and still pink in the middle, but no one cooks a steak quite like Mr Big, which is why I never order it when I’m at a restaurant. The steak they had on the menu at the Wild Fig came with truffle butter and duck pate. It sounded irresistible so I couldn’t not try it.
The steak arrived and it looked amazing, although the description said it was a scotch fillet it looked more like an eye fillet, thickly cut, and so soft you could cut it with a butter knife. It was cooked medium rare, just as I had asked and the truffle butter was soaked

The Wild Fig Cafe in Scarborough is a regular visit for local families at the weekend. The restaurant is split into areas and also has alfresco tables outside, overlooking the car park I might add but you can see the sea if you stand on a chair. I noticed they rather strategically place all the families together in one area and customers with no kids in the posher area round the corner ;-) Good tactic in my view as this meant our kids made some new friends who entertained each other nicely whilst we relaxed over our lazy brunch. The kids chose to eat their favorite breakfast/brunch item which is fluffly panckes served with maple syrup. The pancakes although quite large looking when they arrived were gobbled up in no time! The adult order of poached eggs, bacon and rye bread (they forgot the bacon so ran off to get us a plate of bacon) looked a little less inviting than the pancakes ;
On arrival I was ushered into ‘The Green Room’ where fake grass lined the floor and continued up the walls. While the recycled tyre stools looked interesting, I’m now wise enough to know that my stomach muscles would soon be protesting my stupidity. The same reasoning has me circumventing the section of the gym that houses the fit ball collection. After some apprehension I ordered ...'One LSD please'
Good place for dinner! The ambience and the vibe were outstanding. For me one of the best things about this place was the staff. They were so friendly and accomodating - really standout customer service. The food was good, The beef and the lamb were very good dishes, cooked very well and accompanied by sides that were thoughtful and well paired. Is there better food out there for the price? Yes I think so - but ultimately the food here is solid, you won’t be disappointed if you’re looking for good dinner, the vibe and the ambience combined with the excellent service make it well worth the visit!
The freshly squeezed juice is great I got carrot apple and ginger, you can design your own which I like. I got the mushrooms on toast I would have liked the mushrooms to be cut up a bit smaller, the flavour was nice especially with the truffle oil and the pesto. Another piece of sourdough would have also been good. I’ve had the granola bowl before and that was much better. The staff and the atmosphere are both pleasant the girl who served me was lovely and made me feel welcome.
Christmas Day at the wild fig.
We booked to eat here due to the extensive 5 course vegetarian meal that was offered alongside the more traditional Christmas meal.
The meal included a three hour drinks package and we were never left thirsty at anytime!! Good selection of beers (tap & Bottles) wines and champagne.
Food arrived a the right place for the 5 courses and tasted absolutely delicious.
Definitely would book again for similar meal. Well done to all the staff for doing a great job on a 40+ degree day.
Had a very nice breakfast catchup with a friend this morning. Nothing nicer than sitting with a view of our beautiful coast.
I was greeted, seated and offered a drink while I waited by a very friendly young lady.
We both ordered coffee while we decided what to eat. I ordered a large and my friend a regular. Mine was huge (which was awesome) but the regular was quite small. Not quite big enough for a proper hit of caffeine.
I ordered the Eggs Benedict with bacon and my friend had scrambled eggs with mushrooms. Both looked very nice and my eggs were cooked well.
This is a great spot with indoor and outdoor options for seating. The staff are very attentive but leave you alone to enjoy your meal.
There is free 2 hour parking out front but this car get busy as it’s shared by beach goers.
Very enjoyable morning.
Consistently good food and service from this busy spot by the beach. They make great coffees and have any interesting array of food to choose from. It’s not the cheapest place to eat breakfast and have a coffee, but that’s about par for the course here in Perth. We both had eggs benny, and I ordered a sides of mushrooms which cost me an extra $5, and was a bit disappointed to see only 1 medium sized mushroom on the plate, although it was nicely cooked etc.
They also have an impressive variety of cakes and goodies in the glass display cabinet, so don’t look if you’re easily tempted and on a diet!
Amazing spot! Staff were extra friendly upon greeting us and checking our Vax certs 🙄 we started with a few coffee's... a dirty chai and a flat white which were some of the best coffee's we have had on the infamous coastal drive through scabs. I ordered the eggs on fire which went down faster than a beer on Friday night! The flavours were amazing, the stand out being the chilli jam it was served with. Poached eggs were cooked to perfection and the salad on the side was as fresh as it gets! My wife had the mushroom on toast and the stand out for her was the goats cheese🤢.. fairly well priced for the quality of service and food we received. Beautiful spot guys! Yall should be proud of this establishment. 👏🏾 👏🏾👏🏾 I always look for something to pick on but for the life of me I could not find ANYTHING!
UPDATE: just came back for lunch with the kids to celebrate our eldest getting faction captain at school!!! obviously the last time wasn't a fluke, everything cooked to perfection, service emaculate and coffee to die for. Thanks again guys👌🏽
Always my go to spot when I feel the need to travel. Grab yer favourite book, head over over for breakfast/lunch, read, write and let the sound of the waves play with your eardrums.
We had a great dinner. The waitress are very friendly, and always ready to help. We ordered arancini, mushrooms riotto and fish and chips.
The arancini were a bit salty, but the chef had a great choice to not put much salt in the pasta sauce. The taste is after all good, unfortunately there is no way to taste the rice.
The risotto was excellent, there was a strong smell of truffle but you won’t taste it so much, which is perfect. I suggest to have it with chorizo, if you are a meat lover. I would love to have the option with Italian sausages, as a different option, and it won’t be expensive to offer.
The fish and chips were good, not a special one. The mushy peas makes it healthier, don’t expect any extra spices or ingredients it’s just raw peas. Personally I liked them.
Returned a second time in 2 weeks for their delicious brekkie and wide variety of drinks. Very tasty food. Book ahead to avoid disappointment. Would recommend the Eggs on Fire and beetroot latte 🌰☕🥚🍳
Great service, fast and attentive. Nice relaxed vibe but a little bit more up market than your standard foreshore place. Wonderful vegan options for both breakfast, dinner and dessert. Dog friendly.
Wonderful little place. I love coming here. Staff, food and atmosphere is always on point. The menu has changed since I was last here and it's still amazing.
Thank you to the kitchen especially for some excellent food.
Location of course excellent as well. Our Sammi in Bali would love you with the doggie beds outside.
Sadly table service was lacking with some missed necessities on the table and lack of attentiveness. Maybe the waiter is new. He was nice enough but some training obviously needed.
Overall but a great catch up night with friends who we met when they were visiting Bali.
No one left hungry.

Top night, great service and excellent food taste/combination and fine dining meal presentation, well done guys and thank you for a great evening.
Tucked away on the corner of Scarborough beach. Such an amazing cafe. Food was fantastic and staff were great.
