I prefer to avoid chain coffee establishments in favour of places like Koda.
It’s a great coffee spot just a few minutes walk from Scarborough Railway Station with friendly staff, trendy, plant-filled decor and a lovely atmosphere. I love the art work on the walls!
I chose an American with oat milk which was excellent! As this is the drink I order most regularly when out I can make easy comparisons and this coffee was really delicious.
Although I didn’t have anything to eat today, the gluten free options such as the brownie were very tempting.
Koda is definitely on my list of good places to go to eat and drink when in Scarborough.
Recommend!
Such a great coffee shop oozing with style; particularly welcoming is the colour scheme. Great artwork adorns the walls and classic music is played in the background - Led Zep, Rush etc. A fantastic Flat White and a dank piece of Tiffin are just the job to keep us going. Phone charging points around the place is an added bonus, so too the literature on the tables. Convenient for the Railway Station. All in all a top class place.
Lush vegan coffee shop for brunch and lunch.
Only stopped for a coffee and cake as we got to Scarborough late but well worth it.
Excited to return to try the brunch/lunch menus as the items on the menu looked great.
Really nice coffee here and great selection of cakes to chose from.
Nice chilled vibe inside, really spacious and super friendly staff.
In the centre of Scarborough and dog friendly. Great value for money.
Well worth a visit or several!
Wanted a nice, well made coffee while in Scarborough. Found this place on Google maps and it did not disappoint! The coffee was made perfectly and really nice. Super friendly staff. Would definitely recommend.
We were so pleased to find Koda Coffee as their coffee is delicious. The staff are friendly and the decor of the cafe is warm and welcoming. Don’t be put off by the cafe being on a busy road as once inside, you forget it’s there as it’s such a relaxing atmosphere - and the coffee is one of the best we’ve ever had (we drink lots of coffee!).
Love this coffee shop. They even do gluten free bites. The atmosphere is so calm and a great place for a catch up.

Fabulous chilled, vegan, quality coffee shop attended by absolutely courteous, polite, charming staff. Lofty space, great sound track playing, art for sale as well as coffee products etc. Does take out too. Closed on Sundays and Mondays, open Tuesdays to Saturdays. Very clean and nice loo too. Free WiFi and has charging ports. I was in too early to sample any grub, as the kitchen opens at 10 a.m. but I will be calling again. You can have oats from 9 a.m., toast from 10 a.m., then other menu items from 11 a.m. Gluten free options available. I had a superbly tasty hot chocolate with oat milk. I enjoyed it so much, I stayed to sample one of their other profferings on the seasonal winter drinks menu, which are not always available. I had the Matcha White Chocolate, which is Matcha green tea, white chocolate and vanilla - absolutely divine!! The Ginger Baker drink sounded good too, House espresso, Biscoff spread, ginger and cinnamon, mmm hmm. Another visit calls. Very highly recommended with bells thereon. Do go!
Delicious vegan affogato made with real Italian gelato. Lovely looking cake selection but unfortunately I found mine too sweet and lacking in flavour. Other people may love them. I'm just not so used to the taste of white sugar. I'll try something savoury next time.
Amazing coffee and awesome guy. As a self proclaimed coffee connoisseur I was impressed and satisfied with the latte art. The decor was calm and relaxed with a comfortable feel. The espresso was delightful and was served in a small quirky glass. As for the flat white, it was delicious and served with perfect latte art. The owner was happy to talk to my friend and myself about coffee and share tips and his experience on lattes and beans.
Overall impression: 10/10. I would happily give my custom and I wish this place all of the success he deserves. It's the best coffee place I've been to, and that's coming from someone who seeks out artisan coffee shops on a regular basis.
I enjoyed my lunch at koda, the interior of the cafe is calm with lots of of greenery. The seasonal menus give you the chance to try something new. Also a good space to bring your laptop and work if you want a change from studying at home.
