Really cool cafe 🍽️ I think it's made from a old tram lift. The folks in there were nice and up for a bit of banter. Limited menu options but that suited me and the food was great and a lovely brew with a great view. Nice one
Great little place with unbeatable views. Basic and reasonable menu with reasonable prices. Always spotless. Friendly service and efficient.

Friendly staff, great views, best cream tea I’ve had in a long time! I’m in Scarborough for work and this little cafe is perfectly situated near my hotel. I believe it is a converted funicular railway which is pretty cool. Next time I’m up this way I’ll definitely be stopping in!
Really helpful staff, wheelchair friendly & nice tea & scones delivered to our table outside with a great view. Prices aren't bad either.
On a cold day this cafe was a warm respite, wonderfully heated, beautiful views, but more than that the human touch, staff are very friendly, there is a Jackdaw with an injured wing that has lived there since last June. The deluxe hot chocolate was a delight, sandwiches really good portions and delicious. Highly recommended.

Popped in for a small bite so I could take my medication. Food was delicious, staff was friendly and welcoming and the view was beautiful. Will make this cafe a regular lunch stop from now on.

I've reviewed St Nicholas cafe before, but another review wont do any harm. My favourite cafe in Scarborough. Don't expect fancy food, but what is on offer are sandwiches, toasties, sometimes soup, also various cakes & snacks. Good coffee, teas, milkshakes & soft drinks. The proprietors, Ellie, Terry & Albert offer excellent service, & some of the nicest people I know, at least to the extent I do. They also have the best view in Scarborough. Situated between the Grand hotel & the Spa bridge overlooking the south bay.
One of our favourite cafes, The staff are always friendly and make you feel really welcome. Excellent coffee with great views over the sea. Must visit again soon

wonderful place, so friendly and clean. We are going to use it as a regular cafe on our visits to Scarborough. The best coronation chicken sandwich I have ever had. Can't wait to go again!!
Wonderful welcome from friendly staff, great location, lovely food especially as we went in for a sandwich but was served great quality food of sandwich, salad & crisps. Would highly recommend.
Having lived in Scarborough for 3 years now I’ve only just got around to trying it. Can’t believe I waited so long! ImAbsolutely lovely, friendly service from the staff. Delicious coffee (only £2.40 for a large latte etc & £3 for a hot chocolate with all the trimmings). Fairly small menus however they offer a range of pancakes, sandwiches too along with super cakes (the rocky road was huge & beautiful). Great view over the South Bay. Highly recommended.
