What a fantastic micro pub!
Was on a social wander with mates in Scarborough when we happened upon The Belly Rub. Featuring half a dozen tables and a well appointed small bar, we decided to pop in for a few beverages.
If you’re looking for a great range of tipples, The Belly Rub can’t cease to amaze you! With a huge chalkboard wall full of beers, ales, and stouts to suit most palates. They even provide tasting notes for each drink, which from our experience were spot-on!
Well worth a visit, just make sure there’s room before trying to squeeze in (they *do* take bookings).

Superb craft beer bar serving great food.
A little hidden, you'll probably not accidentally walk past it if you're around the more tourist orientated areas; however, it's worth making the effort to go.
Food is either loaded fries or wraps with various toppings and fillings, portion sizes are excellent and the food is clearly great quality.
Beer wise there's two craft beers on keg, the rest is bottled and canned, it's also outstanding, expect to find beers from North Riding, Azvex, Track, Polly's etc, genuine high quality craft beer not run of the mill faux stuff.
The place is dog friendly and the owners are great, really friendly and talkative, they clearly care about their business and deserve support.
We'll definitely be back.
We love trying all different types of beers and the dirty fries are the perfect sides for all those craft beers there! Pork belly fries and cheeseburger fries are our favourite. We also love the halloumi fries. Very relaxed atmosphere and they are dog friendly.
First and certainly not last visit. Flatbreads and calamari were amazing, great beers and owner was beyond friendly, they even whisked up some amazing garlic mayo after I asked if they had any. Super dog friendly 10/10
Spent the evening here Saturday, had the pork fries and the steak flat bread both if which where absolutely delicious. I had wine and my husband had a couple of beers all of which where lovely. Absolutely lovely owners who are very dog friendly which was amazing ☺️ they also do dog treats which was a lovely touch. I would definitely recommend if your in Scarborough
The Mediterranean chicken flat bread was delicious, top quality. The bar has a lovely atmosphere and a great drinks selection !!
Cool place, we had nice beers and shared some loaded fries which where delicious with unique flavours
Our dog was welcome inside and we stayed for the pub quiz which was a lot of fun,
Would highly recommend a visit to anybody in the area 😀

What a fantastic Craft Beer pub! We spoke with the lady behind the bar, who told us the story of how the business began as it’s her & her husbands place. She was very nice to my wife & I. We will definitely return.
Weekend in Scarborough and ate both nights at the belly rub …. Lovely hidden gem, too many beers to choose from to be honest, the loaded chips are fantastic and portions plentiful, very welcoming and super dog friendly….
