What a lovely place! Stumbled upon it whilst having a wander around Scarborough. It serves typical British food, well made, and great portions. Didn't have room for desserts, so I took two cakes to go. I would definitely go again!
This is exactly where you want to be when you are looking for a yummy, affordable and plentiful meal, especially on a cold and rainy day.
Everything is fresh and tastes absolutely amazing, the staff is very friendly and welcoming.
They don't have too many tables but they have a basement dining area that appears below this beautiful spiral staircase and the temperature is perfect, I must say I do feel cozy and warm.
The only way to pay in here is with cash but no problem if you don't have any, Lloyd's bank is right across the street.
Today we got Whole tail scampi, Goujons of Place and a lovely cottage pie with a jacket potato, sides of peas and chips, all of which were piping hot and delicious.
I highly recommend this place in the heart of Scarborough...the journey goes on ⭐⭐⭐⭐🌟

Been coming here for a long while. But as I've been away for a couple of years I had to have a good breakfast before leaving. Very well worth the money. Special breakfast sets you up for the day. The staff are great. The place has plenty of seating. Well worth a visit if you're near.
Been here today before we went home. Food was great, we had a special breakfast and a sausage sandwich. Great price and kept us full for hours. Service was great and definitely better than Wetherspoons. Will be back the next time we’re in Scarborough to try out the lunches
First time here and will def be back. Can’t believe the quality and amount of food you get for the price. The staff are lovely too. Def will be going soon. Tuna melt was mmm

Has the most amazing cakes and custurd.
On this occasion we went for breakfast and it tasted fantastic.
They where rushed of their feet but still made you feel very welcome and certainly didn't rush you.
Good value for money and always good service staff always working hard and happy to help you
Great food at a great price been a few times large breakfast cheaper than weather spoons and always cooked to order so always hot and on to the fried bread been a fan of it is the best I have had staff always helpful and polite great takes some beating

Lovely homely cafe, pleasant staff. Quite a busy little place but we wernt kept waiting. Lovely homemade soup and a substantial bread roll. Great portions.
Very cosy place. Staff polite and very aware of the what's going on. Keeping and eye, topping up, cleaning and assisting. Food was good and in reasonable price. The place itself has got an atmosphere I really liked.
Great food at a great price , sometimes looks like there's no room because it's always full but there's lots of space down stairs. Great value and a great breakfast
Nice place, a very Yorkshire cafe - can sit around 60. Staff very rushed but very friendly and happy to take requests like can you swap the egg on the breakfast etc. Great deals too - very recommended (sausages were a bit cardboardy though)
Went here for breakfast,spur of the moment but wasn’t disappointed,the breakfast was really good and so much on the plate,got a pot of tea for two and the girl topped our hot water jug up when emptied.The staff were lovely and nothing too much bother cheery and helpful!Great value,great breakfast and good value,highly recommend a visit!
This cafe is such a nice place to eat and such good value for money. The sandwiches are delicious and huge portins of chips as an accompaniment. The staff are lovely and the place is pleasant

We visited this place when we were away for a few days. We had excellent food which was also a very good price. Coffee was good too. We would definitely go again when in the area.
Absolutely beautiful breakfast at a very very good price (£3.25 + £1.85 for a coffee) Good honest plentiful Yorkshire food served fresh and hot by friendly staff and a clean relaxing environment!
I for one will definitely be returning on my next visit to Scarborough!

Pleasant staff. Prompt service. Large windows, good for people watching. Loos are downstairs. Very good prices and portion size was good. Had a green tea which came with enough extra hot water for a second cup. The jacket potato with cheese and onion was really good and the menu prices are very attractive! I would revisit, as it has a lot going for it. What lost it a star however was that I didn't see any tables getting wiped down between customers - mine had spilt cress and spilt drinks on from previous diners; and I have to say, the 1st two seats I sat at had really grubby cushions on with dried food stains, not so attractive. But everything else was tick, tick.
