Well I have to say, I read all the favourable reviews and thought we should give this pub a try for our evening meal as it's only an 11min walk from the Premier Inn. Anyway after Google maps took us half a mile in the wrong direction we made our way back to here.

An absolutely must when in Scarborough. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff. The food is excellent, and the owners are extremely welcoming and interested. The whole atmosphere is unique for the Boro. Thanks so much from your German 'regulars', Christina and Gunter Strähle.
Amazing pub / restaurant in Scarborough, very dog friendly, fantastic food, ended up eating here 2 nights in a row because the food was that good, can't recommend this place enough, such a lovely atmosphere, and very reasonably priced, situated close to the Castle & old town. Fantastic service.

Lovely Sunday lunch maybe another couple of slices of meat would be preferable for me it was fine but no where near enough for the men. Very tasty though and would recommend the beef roast.

Visited for Sunday lunch, which didn’t disappoint. Not only is there gravy on the plate with meats, Yorkshire pudding and roast potatoes, but you then get a jug of gravy, side dish of three vegetables (which were cooked perfect and were very tasty) and some garlic butter new potatoes. On holiday.... Scarborough Arms was recommended in our guest book so thought we'd try it out.
Food was excellent, we had the Sunday roast, it came with all the trimmings.

This is a pub that over past few years has dragged itself out of the mud. The management changed and it has moved from frozen, frozen and more frozen food to top class pub food. Its like a cross between fine dining and traditional pub food. EVERYTHING on the menu is not only home made, it is quality
Lovely pub, dog friendly too, drink prices are at the higher end Id say, but it is a really nice pleasant place. The food was great quality for the money paid, we both left stuffed. Car park very convenient at the side although it is pay and display before 6pm
Absolutely delicious! Our 1rst Sunday roast in Yorkshire for years... the best ever ! Go, it s a lovely place, nice and cosy. People were very kind to us. 🙂

Went in for a drink and something to eat. We had the stake pie with chips and vegetables, which was very filling, the service was good. There were only a few people in, so not much of an atmosphere
An excellent find for a really down to earth, friendly Sunday lunch.
Eaten here before when visiting Scarborough - will go back again.
