Looked all over Scarborough for GF fish and chips to no avail! this gem popped up on Google. The fish was large chips beautifully cooked and the nicest mushy peas for a long time! I was also offered GF bread, vinegar and tatare sauce. The GF menu is fab Scamp too!!!! l am a convert!
Gorgeous as always, by far the best fish n chips ever! Even the 96 year old lady I had with me just about cleaned her plate and ate the batter which she usually picks off! I had the scampi yesterday, absolutely spot on, delicious! Lovely staff too, need to not leave it as long the next time!
Always great freshly cooked food, especially like the desserts being on view - even though it makes choosing more difficult! Friendly staff, nice location and reasonably priced. Will certainly be going back and always recommend Walkers to family and friends.
An incredible place. The best fish and chips I've ever had and the service was amazing. Cannot recommend it enough.
I had salmon steak, my husband had tuna steak and my brother in law and partner had steak pie. All were delicious, cooked to perfection and served by hard working, delightful staff. Nothing was too much trouble, and we had (as ever) a most enjoyable evening. I can't recommend Walker's too highly - and for that reason you need to book!! �
This is the best fish and chip and afternoon tea restaurant ever! Beautiful fresh food, friendly and professional service and desserts to die for! Not to be missed if you visit the Scarborough area.
Amazing!! and I'm talking about the Gluten Free Fish & Chips. Best I've had yet In 10 years of being diagnosed with Coeliacs Disease. Wouldn't know the difference and it even comes with gluten free bread. The portions are huge too :) well worth paying those few extra pennies. Already been back twice since my first visit. Definitely worth the travel from East Yorkshire.
This is the BEST fish and chip's by far and the puds are to die for, I had coffee, walnut & maple pavlova, the Like I have NEVER tasted before my husband had the Eton mess which had tons of fresh fruit in it!! I recommend you book as it is very popular 👌👍
More than just fish and chips! We had smoked haddock and lemon sole with salad and new potatoes - beautiful and all slimming world free ( I think!).
Absolutely outstanding I happily travel a long distance to eat here, would highly recommend to anyone the fish is out of this world and the puddings sure are the best. � 10/10
Best fish and chips I have ever had , we didn't book but they managed to squeeze us in , but would recommend booking as it was very busy .
Went here to celebrate my grandads birthday, was packed but the service made us feel like the only people in the room. Very friendly waiter, helped with allergies and was very fast on drinks and food. I got the gammon, though think it was not smoked it was tasty and the portion was huge! Also cooked perfectly with the fat being crispy. Eggs cooked perfectly too. Chips could have been better but that's just being fussy tbh.
I thought that the best fish and chips I've ever had was in Southwold. Today that changed to this place. I'm sad that it's too far to travel regularly.
Recommended by a good friend, we attended Walkers during a weekend away in the area. I was told that I wouldn't be disappointed with their menu....and we weren't, absolutely delicious fresh fish and chips cooked in beef dripping....Wow. I've certainly missed Yorkshire Fish and Chips! The kids also really enjoyed the home made desserts. Highly recommended
Lovely fish and chips. The service was a bit hit and miss. But otherwise very nice. Lovely restaurant, well decorated and clean and tidy.
Delicious Haddock and chips. The regular was just the right size. Could have done with a slightly larger plate to be able to cut the food more easily, without risk of it falling off. Lovely surroundings inside and very good staff.
This fish and chips is worth every penny, great fish great chips and great deserts. If you have kids there is a play park just around the corner aswel. Will be coming back many times
The food was amazing! Had the spicy crab cakes, they were huge! Really tasty and fresh. Then got medium cod, should have got a small, again huge portion! Definitely can't complain. Finished off with baileys trifle!! The only course I finished was the crab cakes!! Staff really helpful and cheery. This was our second visit, will definitely return.
Excellent cod and chips, the regular size leaves space for a sweet! Fast and friendly service. I would guess they get busy although it's bigger inside than it appears driving past.
Fantastic place. Clean. Spacious and very cheerful staff. It wss a full house and yet service was quick. Had the most delicious seafood salad from the special board. Would highly recommend.
Fish and chip restaurant in West Ayrton not far from the caravan club site. Food was very good including the insane giant cod or haddock (see picture), clean and very apparent covid rules on separation and cleaning between guests. Booking is advised
The desert fridge needs a chair by it and a large spoon !

As with these places you can eat cheaper out elsewhere but regardless we would recommend a visit here especially for the caravan fraternity, not everyone has to take on the giant cod piece !
It's a 10 min walk and there is also parking around the back of the place.
Overall its a nice restaurant clean and excellent food. Worth a visit but watch out for that giant cod or haddock you better be hungry for that and if you happen to see the Lord of Darkness and the heir to the throne in the Prince of Darkness please kick them out of the desert fridge and send them back
