We were a little worried about our return to The Jade Fountain after our absence for over 26 years having moved away from Cambridge. Well, we needn't have.
Having frequented the place for special occasions between the opening in '87 until our move in '91 we decided to celebrate a special occasion by going back. Not only did the restaurant have to live up to an excellent reputation from years gone by but we were also travelling quite some distance and would have been devastated if it had been bad.
All I can say is that I was so impressed. Reputation in tact and a wonderful new look.

Although I've moved to Norfolk I will still be a regular it's my favourite restaurant the food is better than it's ever been, and it was good before and the manager and staff are great
Have eaten in the Jade since 1987. The food has always been excellent. Mike and his staff are a credit to the art of giving the customer the best time. Just had a take away as I was so dirty gardening I just didn't want to tidy up. It was fantastic. I would rather drive the 5 miles to the Jade, than be disappointed by other Chinese food outlets. Keep up the good work Mike. I will be back.
We have been going to the Jade for many years enjoying the lovely food. New owners now and our first meal at Christmas was a little disappointing......... but we gave it another try in March and it was fantastic lovely tasty hot food and friendly staff. We are going again at the weekend and looking forward to it.
35 years going to the jade and although new owners the food is matching up and the staff are becoming friends again . Second home again and hopefully another 35 years 😬
Can't say a big enough thank you to the staff at the jade for accommodating our Christmas party at incredibly short notice....having been stuck on the M11 and having to abandon our original plans you really did save the day!!! Fantastic food, great fun, and an extra surprise for our gluten free guest to have a big menu to choose from!!! Thank you all!

We had the taster menu and what a great choice that was. It not only allows you to choose different dishes but also as many as you want! Great tasting food at great prices. Eric and his team were fantastic and we will definitely be going back. Thank you.
We have been looking for a good Chinese since moving here. We have finally found it . The food is absolutely delicious, the flavours are unreal and not at all greasy . Eric and his staff are so friendly and help with the menu so that they find your perfect dish . Tried the rest now found the best . And we will be back .
Actually really nice. Came across it by chance when staying over night for a work commitment. They do a 'tastwr menu' £22 and it's basically all you can wait for the majority of the menu (just slightly smaller portions understandably)
But it turned out to be amazing food. Tasted very good quality and the staff were very friendly and helpful and attentive.
I recommend anyone in the area to come try this place out too. It would make a great work meal.
Already reviewed on Trip Advisor but I will say again on here that our family visit to celebrate my daughter’s birthday to the Jade Garden was a thoroughly enjoyable and memorable experience!! The food was the best I have ever tasted, cooked to perfection with an infusion of flavours that made the mouth water. Eric and his team provided the most professional and attentive service I have ever received from any restaurant. I was very touched by the kind gesture of a birthday treat for my daughter from Eric and staff.
Recently moved not far away from this place. We had a takeaway for my birthday and it was so nice we decided to dine in for my partners birthday. Lovely food, friendly staff that where warm and welcoming. Will certainly be coming back.
We arrived really early just as they had opened, we were the first customers.
We were seated and given menus. The staff were all lovely and really informative, we wanted something different to our normal selection. We chose the taster menu, this gave us a choice of food.
The food was delicious, fresh and hot.

Delicious freshly cooked food and great service; it was clear that ingredients were good quality and fresh, and each dish was well prepared. Staff were polite, friendly and knowledgeable. There was lots of choice on the menu - allergen information was easy to find, and a gluten free menu is available. The restaurant itself was clean and well presented with a welcoming feel. We will definitely be visiting again in future.

Fantastic experience here. Eric and his staff were super friendly and helpful. The taster menu was amazing and so tasty, a really good idea. Great atmosphere would definitely recommend. Pity we live so far away , we need a restaurant like this on the wirral. However when we do return we will definitely visit here again, Kathy and Keith.
Ordered a take away from here and as usual was not disappointed. The chips and curry seemed especially good this evening and I ordered the prawns in fruity sauce for the first time and will definitely be ordering those again! Extremely tasty, we were all very impressed.
We were looking for a place after visiting Duxford, and found the Jade Fountain. The food was delicious and service was friendly. Being based outside of London, this felt like a fantastic place to find for great Chinese food.
I highly recommend the taster menu which is really excellent value. My particular favourite is the crispy chilli beef! Extremely attentive service. I have not been to this restaurant in 22 years but I was very impressed!
Absolutely wonderful. The staff are fantastically welcoming and really took the time and care to recommend dishes they thought we would enjoy (they were right, we did!). The taster menu, which we had, is excellent value for money. You can order whatever you like from the menu for the set cost of £26 (on a Friday night). The food was incredible. Fresh and delicious. The portions were great and, as you can order as much as you like, if you want more of a particular dish you can ask for more. The vegetarian options are spectacular. The five spice asparagus - recommended to us by our server - was delicious. As was the vegetables as an alternative to the duck in pancakes. The sweet and sour prawns were a revelation - best I've ever had. However, as fantastic as the food is, it was the service that makes this restaurant a must! We cannot wait to go back. Thank you to everyone at Jade Mountain for a lovely evening.
Enjoyable meal here, the taster menu is great if you want to try lots of different dishes. All the food is cooked to order too which is great. Friendly staff too.

Service here is very fast and efficient. Highly recommended for that. Food slightly on the expensive side compared to take away outlets, but quality of food very good, far worth the cost. Highly recommended, will definately visit again. We ordered far more than we could eat, next time, now portion sizes know, we can adjust. Quite busy at time we went. May be worth booking to avoid disappointment.
They do take out also & take home after eaten too much there. We odered crispy duck / pancakes etc, beef chow mein, pork sweet sour hong kong style (no batter), lemon chicken, honey spare ribs soooo soft and juicy !! Egg fried rice. And I had dessert x As said we brought some away x

Excellent food and service. The owner Eric is very friendly and takes care of his customers. Went to try the taster menu as we were looking for a place to have a small get together for my son's birthday. We are definitely going back again!
