Went there for first time a few days ago, and loved it, the staff were very friendly,food was first class,although it was busy,the staff chatted to us,and made us feel very welcome,service was quick too, would recommend to all, give yourself a wee treat and visit this place
Great place for a bite to eat. Staff very nice and even have a place for the dog! One thing I would suggest is a bird feeding station outside the cafe windows (looking towards the fields) as there is an abundance of birds that are not usually seen by the public.
After a wee trail run around the park stopped in here coffee. Lovely wee place. Super friendly staff and it is 'dam good coffee'. Extensive menu for a small place. Definitely will visit again.
A great place in beautiful suroundings with lovely welcoming staff and great food. The family and friends hack round the dam on ponies regulary and what better place to stop and give ponies a rest and us some yummy food.

Was in here for a wee visit with my mum, other half and little boy and we were so impressed it was unreal. Not only was the food YUM and reasonably priced but your allergen knowledge was amazing! Having a wee boy who is dairy and soya intolerant is a bit challenging when going out but the lady in charge of the cooking was fantastic, even double checking everything for soya (as it turned out the GF bread contained it after all) and coming back later to let us know what we could order for our boy next time that was allergen free :) big thumbs up to our waitress to who took the time to check things too, we've been to a few places where they just assume everything and it was so nice for our wee one to be able to enjoy a meal without us picking things out/worrying about him having a reaction.
Can't say enough good things and we will DEFINITELY be regulars! :)

been a long time since I have been to the dam. had lunch with my daughter,grand and great grand daughters.service was good and quick despite being very busy.staff were very friendly and helpful. will definitely go back and recommend it to others.
What a fantastic place, great coffee, tea and food. A real asset to the area, and all the staff were very friendly and helpful and supportive of the ride for research yesterday, can't thank you enough.
Had a beautiful slice of cheese cake and a pot of tea! It was so so tasty and the slice was enormous!

After a lovely walk around the dam popped in for coffee and cake ! Now I’m a fussy coffee drinker I like it done right !! And it was fabulous !! Coffee was perfect and the staff delightful will definitely be back �

Great Food . Lovely cakes. Good variety on the menu. Hot and cold drinks too. Eat in or take out. Toilets also plus baby change facility. Staff are lovely. Water bowls outside for dogs too. I highly recommend this wee place.
Great coffee after a walk round the dam. Carrot cake fabulous as well as the scones. We'll worth a visit we go regularly with our greyhound sit outside. Beautiful views.
Lovely little cafe, had a fantastic bowl of Lentil soup and a coffee and cake to follow. Very friendly staff and great service. Even had a second take out coffee after we had done the circular walk around the water. Would recommend cafe and walk.
Just popped in for a coffee to go whilst out with the dog. Lovely strong coffee in a big cup and very reasonably priced. Glad to see the place open again and will definitely be back.

Nice clean place with good home baking the soup sandwich pancakes and scones were really good as well as the coffee.the dam had a lot of swans near the coffee shop ample parking and good for walking

What a great wee cafe bought a bacon roll and a latte the roll was delicious and the coffee was perfect so good I had 2😀if at the country park definitely give the dam good coffee a visit as the coffee is dam good and the girl serving was lovely 😀
We walk the Gartmore dam area on a frequent basis. The 'Dam Good Coffee' shop is a welcome finish point. The staff are friendly and the menu and accompanying food are great. If your in the area be sure to pop in; you'll not be disappointed.
Seven if us had lunch. All of us were satisfied with the menu and the food. Lost one star for the soup (ham & lentil) which was thin or, as one described it, watery. However, the toasties were really good and the macaroni was good and cheesy.
Lovely welcome cafe after a walk round the lake. Staff lovely and what a selection of homemade cakes. Enjoyed a bacon roll and peppermint slice. Yum.👍
Breakfast very good, have had the homemade scones they are excellent also.
