Having moved to the village earlier this year, it was so important for us to have a local pub at the heart of it.
The Red Lion, is an absolute asset to the community of Sapcote and a real hidden gem for those who don't live here.
The food is amazing and I'm told completely fresh which was evident and definitely unusual for a pub, the tapas is divine, which again, not the norm for a pub but it works so well with this place.
The owners and staff are always so friendly and we just love coming here!

Went for a meal to this lovely place, the food was amazing and the range of gluten free options was impressive tasting as good as the rest. Would recommend that you need to book in advance and have a couple of hours window to eat as someone will be before or after you.

After seeing The Red Lion on Facebook for sometime now we finally decided to come and give them a go.
The biggest thing for us was finding a local business using fresh, local ingredients and this was clearly evident in the food we had.
A couple of tapas dishes to start and they were divine! pulled brisket tacos and lamb bonbons - both were extraordinary and presented very well.
For mains we had the bistro rump steak and the lamb cutlets, again excellent and cooked to perfection! The bistro rump is tall and juicy and looks like a fillet you might find in a high end restaurant - an absolute steal at £20!
We just could not resist the sound of the homemade desserts and again they did not disappoint - one of the best cheesecakes I have ever had and the sticky toffee pudding was also very nice.
Overall an amazing experience, a well kept modern pub with friendly and attentive staff, really good drinks selection and will be recommending to everyone.
Booked a table for 3 for Sunday Roast. We received a warm welcome from friendly, helpful staff. We sat in the bar area with our dogs where it was much quieter and enjoyed our very tasty Lamb roast dinners and desserts.
The staff were friendly and attentive, the pub had a nice atmosphere to it and there was a lovely beer garden out the back.
A family friendly pub which also welcomes dogs, we had a very enjoyable visit and I highly recommend the Red Lion.
Stopped off randomly and very happy to find tapas on the menu.

On my first visit to The Red Lion, my friends and I had a lovely evening out on a Tuesday. The food was amazing! The staff were friendly and we all said ‘that we must come again’. I have recommended it to my friends.
I couldn’t wait to bring my family, so I returned on a different day, Friday, when it was busy and the welcome and food was again exceptional. I loved the personal touch seeing my Christian name on the table reservation. Elisha, was serving food and drinks. She is a lovely person, friendly and very efficient. She kept everything going single handed - she is a valuable hospitality worker who goes the extra mile for her employer. Thank you, I am going back for a third time for an enjoyable evening with my family for excellent food that has the quality of a restaurant, unlike most pubs.
Everyone needs to try it to believe it!

We all absolutely loved our lunch on a sunny Saturday at the Red Lion! We are thinking about moving to the area and wanted to check the local pub and we were not disappointed! We felt very welcome from the start, the inside and outside is done very well, we ate outside and ordered the tapas and they were delicious!
We could not resist so we also tried the desserts and they were spectacular too!
We would be very happy to have the Red Lion as our new local pub for sure.
