We had just completed a long and enjoyable walk from Deal to Sandwich and really wanted a sandwich to replenish our energy. Most pubs had stopped doing them and we were sign posted to Strand Street Kitchen as still serving.
I had a tuna mayonnaise sandwich, crisps and side salad and the most amazing Biscoff milkshake. The sandwich as you can see was bursting with filling and the Biscoff milkshake, new to the menu and recommend by staff, was delicious! The prices are very reasonable for the quality and amount of food.
The staff were very welcoming and helpful and if I'm around that way again I'll definitely be popping in for another bite to eat. Highly recommended.
Very friendly here, it's great service. I had pancakes and liked them...alot! Also, in other places there is never enough syrup but here I had plenty. A great place to visit in Sandwich and is good value too.
Delicious sandwiches in the heart of Sandwich!! For obvious reasons, we had to have sandwiches while visiting the town. The menu had a lot of delicious options and everything was so reasonably priced!
We ordered three sandwiches and they did take a while (~30 mins) to arrive but they were worth the wait! They also had vegetarian options and gluten free bread - which makes the food accessible to everyone.
Great strong teas as well, you get not one but two teabags in your mug!
One vegan/veggie and one full English breakfast served wonderfully fast this morning. Lovely food, highly recommend trying Strand Street Kitchen if you fancy breakfast in Sandwich. Not at all greasy and a good selection!
The Strand is our fave go to place when we visit Sandwich. This time I came with my son. As a vegetarian, he was pleased with the menu options. Me? I’m the awkward one being gluten free. Yet the Strand caters well. This time (while demolishing our meal) one of the staff baked gf cupcakes which turned out to be gf coffee and walnut traybake. Wowsers. My son (who isn’t gf) couldn’t believe how delicious it was. Better than normal cake.
All in all a wonderful visit. Friendly staff, good food, clean and friendly pleasant environment: what more could you want??
It's a small place so it gets busy quick. But the food was exactly what you want. And it comes out hot. Every thing on the plate was perfect with a English breakfast. Looking forward to trying more dishes. The poor staff were rushed off their feet and it showed. Some customers seemed a little disappointed waiting for food. But we got served perfectly fine.
New ownership has seen a price increase and reduction of portion sizes. Pity the cafe built a great reputation. I will not be visiting for meals in future..
Lovely place and food is nice so no issues there but £3.50 for the kids cheese on toast which was literally one piece of basic bread and a smattering of cheese is ridiculous. Should reconsider that!
Food is decent 👌 staff are the atmosphere and Molly will go places, she had the rest of the staff and us lolling the entire ⏲️ she should definitely be a hostess / manager and is the reason we have added this place to our 'go to' list when in the areas.
I had today one of the best brownie I've had for ages ... thank you 😊 ut was so delicious 😋
Terrific little venue for a quick (or long) bite. Excellent food, fast and friendly service, nice small outside eating area, easy to find. Highly recommend it.
Went here for Lunch, friendly staff nice food and drinks menu, food we had was well presented and cooked well, you can dine in or out both with table service all in all a nice experience!
Came by the other day for lunch and had a great experience. Staff were really lovely and helpful and the food was great.
Our visit weds 19th.
Came accross this tea room on our walk with the dog it was a lovely day and there was a very welcoming court yard to sit and enjoy the sunshine.
We ordered a couple of sandwiches
1 x cheese & Tom
1x brie and bacon
1 x tea
1x coffee
Absolutely delicious
So much so we returned later for a cuppa and cake which certainly didn't disappoint.
All in all excellent food with excellent service.
It was a pleasure to have found and eaten here.
Fantastic visit today to the Strand Street Kitchen, our 1st visit there it was warm ( not like the previous place we went to, we didn't want to take our coats off after a coffee we left) and came to the Strand Street Kitchen. The 2 girls on till and serving very welcoming and friendly. We had 3 full English and a porridge good food and good value. And my friend who is particular with her tea you also had full fat milk. We will recommend to all our friends and we will be back. Thank you see you soon 🙂👍
Fab vegetarian sausage bap. Good coffee and tea. Other food coming out looked good. Staff were excellent.
Lovely little cafe . Food was good and reasonable priced. Special shout out for the staff. Super friendly. We even got a free sausage for our little doggies. And....I forgot my bag& purse. But the staff had kept it save for me. Great place definitely recommend it.
