I chose to eat at the riverside inn on Sunday as myself and my family are regulars at the sister premises the white lion hotel, we were a table of 15 and thoroughly enjoyed our meals as always! The Eton mess cheesecake is to die for and we will definitely be back for more, especially in the summer to enjoy the views the riverside has to offer 10/10

Spent a lovely day here. It’s really inclusive for adults, children and dogs alike, the play area is great and the pub itself is really nice. It’s clean and nicely decorated, the staff are really kind and the customer service is great. We ate the carvery which tastes really good, and the service was great, the man serving the food was lovely, he was patient with my children and even shared a few jokes with them. The owner was friendly and chatty too! Dogs are really well provided for too which is a great bonus. The location is gorgeous too!

I stayed at the inn with my family for two nights. The inn is simplistic with stunning river scene. The food was fantastic, especially for the finger licking home made pizza! The staff were very helpful and responsive. They gave us a fan when the weather was hot. They delivered our a bunch of takeaway to our room when we were not comfortable. Thank you to everyone at Riverside Inn.

Came here for the Sunday carvery. Really good, lots of food, friendly staff. Nice atmosphere. Lots of parking and they mention needing to register when you come in and it is sign posted everywhere.

We went for the Sunday carvery, which we booked in advance,. A good price at £14, but you also have other options available. There was quite a queue for the carvery, but the.line.moved quickly. The food was OK, basic Sunday lunch. However, the beef was chewy, and the red cabbage was undercooked. The turkey was delicious though. Meal slightly spoiled by some very noisy children running around for an extended period that caused us to leave sooner than we planned. The staff were lovely and very helpful.

Sat outside with a nice view of the river. Was raining but it didn’t matter as we were under a nicely lit canopy. Food was delicious and was served by our lovely waitress, Cree. We also bought a doggy ice cream for our cockapoo- 5 stars from us and the Pooch!

Was booked into here by my company. I arrived to find a spacious car park with plenty of parking. Car park is free but you need to register your vehicle at the bar. There's plenty of signage warning you of this. Headed to the bar to check in and was met by a lovely lady who checked me in promptly. She then made sure my vehicle was registered on the parking. She greeted me with a smile and was extremely polite. Once check in was completed she then personally walked me to my room to make sure I was happy with the room and showed me all of the amenities. As we was talking I mentioned I had a food allergy and was dairy intolerant. In the blink of an eye she brought me a bottle of oat milk without me asking so I could have a cup of tea which was a really nice touch. I've never ever been offered a dairy free alternative in my room and I stay away most weeks of the year. The room was absolutely lovely, the swan towels was a very nice touch, lovely decor and nice and modern throughout. They had thought of everything you possibly may need such as hot water bottles in the room, the bathroom had a shower and a full size bath so was nice to have the option of both not just one. I had food in the bar which was scrumptious, the menu was small but had been very well thought out. There was an a few option for every food allergy available, gluten free, dairy free etc. I had the Jerk chicken which was fresh, beautifully presented and seasoned to perfection. Breakfast I was offered the option of having a Full English in the bar or a Breakfast bap delivered to my room. I'm not a big eater in a morning so the bap was perfect for me. The location next to the river was picturesque. Only negative points I could have is the external door to rooms 1 and 2 could do with the door closer adjusting as it bangs a bit when someone opens the door and being the end of September it did get a tad chilly in the room so having the option of the radiator on or off would be nice. I don't think the heating was switched on just yet which I could understand as we was just approaching winter. But all in all, probably one of the best hotels I've stayed at in the country. The service I received was second to none and it was on a Savoy level good. I've never had as good service anywhere else as I have here. Keep doing what you're doing! You are rocking the pants off it. Thankyou for an amazing stay and I will 1000% be seeing you again. I truly hand on heart loved my stay here from the attentiveness of the staff, the ease of having a food allergy to the little rubber duck in the bathroom. Thanks again for a perfect stay. This place is mind-blowingly good.

Great place for food and a beer, I would have stayed for a few more beers if they had let me park my camper in the carpark overnight but I was refused so I moved to the next pub...

Upon entering the Riverside, I was pleasantly surprised to be greeted with the iconic logo of Sussex seacider. They make awesome cider and are a smaller company based near where I grew up so I was very surprised to find their cider being pulled in a pub the other side of the country. I think this shows an attention to detail and the love that the staff put into this place. They also serve a large variety of slushies (I think there was even a thatchers one?) And have some amazing views of the water out the back. I was a little disappointed with the size of my portion of chips but that is my only complaint.

We just held my Dad’s wake here. Holly Jane and her team did an amazing job and made the day a huge success. The venue was beautiful, the food was amazing, and the drinks flowed. A perfect wake. Thank you!

Lots of space for everybody to be comfortable and enjoy the food. Plenty of parking too. Went there for a snack after lunch and the ambiance is really nice. Sound of water relaxes you while waiting for your food. Just a bit difficult to enter/exit the road going down/up due to narrow road

Absolutely wonderful place on the River. We had a Sunday carvery and it was honestly the best I've ever had. Staff were lovely and friendly too.
