Went for tea with friend. Was amazed how it looks now and the garden is nicely laid out, not like a normal pub garden jam packed with benches and tables. Had fish and chips. Very nice and the staff very friendly. Would defo go back.
Been meaning to go to this pub for food for ages and finally managed it last night. Had a fabulous time and the pizza was Devine. Staff lovely and friendly too. Cracking service and will defo be going there again
Amazing food, lovely atmosphere and lots of different gins! Would recommend a visit!
Beautiful new Courtyard. Well done fantastic food with welcoming staff. Would recommend a visit. Great selection of Gin too.

Great food at reasonable prices, very friendly staff, and the atmosphere was really good, definitely worth a visit.
Great food fantastic staff and a lovely setting highly recommend it.
Fantastic meal- great friendly staff. Would highly recommend- especially the pies!
Recently started going to the crown after a very long time. Its beautiful, with friendly staff and agreat menue! I LOVE GIN so this is a great place to try different ones. The decor is lovely and the garden at yhe back really well laid out!10/10!
What a lovely place. It was buzzing when we visited, great to see. Pub was beautifully designed and a nice big garden, also well looked after. Had the best bitter and Green King IPA, both excellent. Food top notch too. Fast, friendly service, we will return as soon as we can.
Went for a Sunday lunch. It was delicious and filling. It was reasonably priced. The staff were young and very polite, helpful and courteous. The atmosphere was sedate . No yobs insight. Would definitely recommend a visit. Thank you to all the staff.
We had an amazing experience here with the food, staff, and the whole ambience. We are a family of 5 adults and one 3 year old and had met up to celebrate our grandsons birthday. The food was excellent, hot and tasty. Although my steak was rare, it was still slightly overdone for my personal liking. I never sent it back or complained as it was still very good. We all had good food and the staff were very lovely.
Great food, not the cheapest as pub food goes, but well worth it.
£16 for full rack of ribs, which was lovely, about 15 for steak and ale pie and chips which contained a lot of steak and £19.50 for an 8oz sirloin which was cooked medium rare as asked. about 6quid for desserts.Pear and Berry crumble was lovely
Nice pint of IPA as well.
The staff are incredible. Helped with a birthday cake surprise, so accommodating. The food as always is spectacular. I can not recommend this place more highly. The afternoon teas are incredible too but make sure you ring and pre-book those.
Had a drink with a friend, friendly staff and lovely atmosphere. We also had a desert each homemade roly-poly with custard and a sticky chocolate brownie with vanilla ice cream. Both mouthwatering. Great night out, thanks
Nice place, went for late lunch mid week. Food good 😁
Great food. Tried a pizza. Was very very nice. As good as a proper Italian restaurant. Will definitely go back!
Had the chicken and chorizo pie and my partner had the steak and ale pie. They were the most delicious pies we ever had.
Compliments to the chef and the staff.
Will be coming again very soon.
Such a lovely pub with a great atmosphere! The food was very nice and a very good price. Service was a little slow at times but they were incredibly busy so understandable. Great place to go for a quick bite!
The wow factor here is the beer garden on a sunny day.
Drive past The Crown and it doesn't look terribly interesting from the road, but walk in through the generous car park and enter an oasis of tranquility. The pub has one of the best beer gardens I've been in, with a great layout of widely spaced tables and benches, with a scattering of deck chairs to free-lounge in. I'm guessing it must get really busy on the weekends, as there's a dedicated outdoor cooking gazebo.
The pub was refurbished a few years ago, so looks neat, tidy and modern.
This is a Greene King pub, so don't expect good beer. On tap was a house Best, St Austell Tribute, Green King IPA and Abbot Ale, all being some of the worst "beers" imaginable. (Easy to cellar, which was s why they have them). At least there was some decent lager on offer in the form of Asahi, Estrella Damm and Peroni.
There is an extensive menu of pies and standard pub fare, sadly nothing that really shouts "quality" or "awesome". The vegetarian pea and mint risotto was modestly portioned, well dressed and filling, but there was no pizzaz; scampi and chips, "meh" though the chips were lovely and crispy; a margerhita pizza that was bigger than a small child, so top marks on that one for value for money.
In all, the epitome of higher prices for mediocre food, so room for improvement.
Fabulous afternoon tea in the courtyard today. Staff were so attentive and the cakes in particular were gorgeous. The dig had a lovely time and was very welcomed. Can't wait to go again!
Nice loo by the way!
Good food with vegetarian options, though not so much for vegans.
Good service, pleasant staff, clean loos, plenty of seating and a nice garden at the back.
Parking great. Food fantastic. Plenty of tables and chairs so didn't have to wait long to sit down. Also a lovely garden for the summer
Staff can't help you enough great service for a table of 11.
The food was excellent and nicely priced and will be returning in the near future.
Popped in for lunch with a friend It was busy but they got us a table. Young lady came for our drinks order right away. Good selection on the food menu. You could choose from a lunch menu which was mostly the same as the main menu but smaller amounts. We decided to go for the main menu. Husband had a burger with salad and chips, I had a steak with chips etc and my friend had scampi. We all said it was good. My steak was one of the best I have had in a while cooked perfectly, medium rare and a good size. My friend wished she had gone for the smaller menu as her plate of scampi was so large. But she enjoyed them. Husband said burger was cooked well and tasted great. Service was really good. Glad we popped in on the off chance because it was very good. Would definitely recommend.
We recently had a Wake at The Crown Inn on a Friday afternoon. The whole event was perfect. The staff from the initial consultation to the actual occasion were incredible. They were very flexible about menus and on the day the food was fabulous. The team are young, enthusiastic and very professional. I would totally recommend this pub for any event. I will definitely be back for another occasion, but hopefully under happier circumstances. Thanks for making our day so successful. 😊
Great food served by friendly staff...steak pie & mash with a pint or two of Thatchers Gold was excellent.
a nice place shame the team of 3 ladies where rushed off their feet seemed to need 1 extra body to help out. Besides that, good service The beer garden looked good
