Came in with with 10 other family members. The staff were very friendly and helpful. With food ranging from kids nuggets and chips, pizza, burgers, lasagne and steak the kitchen had its work cut out. The food came out in a very timely manner, hot and delicious!!! I had the pulled pork burger and it was lush!!! The patty was thick and cooked well to retain its juiciness. The pulled pork topping was generous and the flavour was great. The triple cooked chips were crisp outside and fluffy inside. Will definitely return. Only down side was no dessert menu but I spoke to man behind the bar and suggested maybe getting some ice cream in and even frozen apple pies. Being a smallish pub in the sticks I appreciate fresh cakes aren’t a good option or financially viable for management.

Cracking pint of Guinness topped off with a great welcoming landlord. Dog, kid oh and women friendly 😃. Nice to visit a pub and be welcomed by landlord and locals. Back later to sample the menu. What an absolute gem of a pub. The Sunday lunch was amazing. Barely enough room on the plate for it all. The team were so happy, friendly and accommodating it was a real pleasure to be there. Nothing was too much trouble for them. I pitched a few curved balls and the response was amazing. The chef went above and beyond. Credit to someone so young. Got to mention the bar staff too, great positivity and desire. Takeaway pizza and cheesy garlic bread was awesome. We will definitely be visiting again, we're so looking forward to try the loaded hotdog fries. Cannot praise them enough. Never been before and the previous ownership didn't get much of a rating. The new owners are doing a real job of putting it back in the game. 5 stars indeedy...

Nice Oldy Worldie Country Pub. Nice Beer, reasonable priced, Friendly Locals and Staff. We popped in on the Sat evening to enquire about booking the Sunday Carvery advertised outside stating Sunday Carvery every Sunday. We were told it was possibly not happening that Sunday. Your prob wondering why 5 Stars. Because they explained the situation, told us the Landlady would be able to tell us when she returned and offered to ring us if we didn't want to hang around. It's called Good Customer Service.👍 We stayed for a drink and a listen to the Karaoke but had to get back otherwise I could of stayed there all night. It's A nice building but sometimes the thing that makes it Awesome is the people. Worth a Visit Tell them Gary sent You, No discount but I would be really interested in the response. 👍

After my second visit to this pub this time as a person on their own I was made to feel more than welcome as a man on his own. The food was top class and so was the service.. I couldn't fault it. Hope to go again soon.

The welcome was fantastic. Maybe a set uniform would work for all staff instead of casual wear. Hard to distinguish who was who. Food was great, reminded me of Big Zuu's. Needs a bit more planning on layout but I understand, it's early days yet. All in all, really good guys. Keep up the good work.

This place is absolutely incredible! The staff are always so friendly, the food is delicious, and bonus, that dogs are welcome! This place is very much worth a visit. No only will you get a lovely meal and place to have a drink or two, but you'll be made to feel highly welcome, and made to feel part of the family. Thank you for making our holiday great! Can't wait to come back again soon!

Lovely small no frills pub. Very dog friendly and allowed in the main bar. Great tasty food, the pie of the day and beef stew were delicious and the homemade chips were perfect. Highly recommended, proper pub grub.

Had a lovely meal here last week. Very nice atmosphere, staff welcoming and friendly. Couldn't believe how little the food and drinks cost. We gave the young waitress/barmaid a tip and she was very overwhelmed. Couldn't fault any aspect, would have returned if we were staying in the area longer.

Holidaying nearby and went in to watch the England match and have a bar meal. Lovely, welcoming village pub. The bar staff were friendly and attentive. The place was spotlessly clean. The bar food was delicious!
