A very pleasant old pub in the heart of Saltburn with a spectacular view of this picturesque seaside village. The menu is typical pub grub and there is a splendid selection of beers. In summer there are man places to sit outside and enjoy the sunshine but in winter there is a sense of cosiness inside. Really worth a visit.

The service was top-notch, the staff was super friendly, and the food and drinks were amazing. And the outdoor seating area had a great view of the beach. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in Saltburn.

Lunch in a beautiful setting😍 I believe this pub/restaurant has only recently become a Greene King addition. We found the menu had a good selection. The food we ordered arrived in a timely manner and was well presented and really nice. My friend's ordered the Steak and Ale Pie as it had been recommended to them and it didn't disappoint. They said it was great. Drinks were a very reasonable price too. We couldn't sit outside as the weather wasn't warm enough but managed to get a table with a bit of a sea view. Would recommend booking in advance if you would like a sea view from your table. We really enjoyed ourselves and will certainly be visiting again.

We have never been to Saltburn By The Sea Before, Only recommend by a friend of mine, ok let's give this place an Honest Review as I always try and do. We went to the ship for our dinner with 2 Grandkids, me and the wife plus mother in-law, the pub is very nice and clean, staff very helpful and asking if all is ok with the food, I love doing reviews like this, so the Food was absolutely beautiful, hot well made and plenty of it, very reasonably priced to, the kids menu is great, £4.99 for Main, 2 sides dessert and a drink, can't complain at that. Lots of people choosing to eat here so get in early we went in at 12:10pm Dinner time plenty of room but filled quickly. Even though it gets a lot of people in they soon finish and make tables available, we had grandkids so they take Thier time as you might know, lovely Pub, Lovely Staff, Lovely Food, 10/10 for everything, will definitely be returning again to the Ship pub. Saltburn is a lovely place to go, didn't even know it was thier, if you want to go and see it for yourself and have a lovely lunch in the Ship, Google Saltburn By The Sea, park in the CatNab Car park £6.50 all day, pay with card or pay with the Ringo app. I hope my review helps you and I hope you have a lovely time as we all did, thanks for reading my Review of the Ship Pub Saltburn By The Sea. Visited 04/04. This is a Dog friendly restaurant. Lovely atmosphere and delicious food. We had the Katsu Curry as they had run out of chicken pies due to popularity but we weren't disappointed as it was full of flavour, nice and hot, with very good portion sizes. The members of staff on shift were all polite, friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble, from the bar staff to the waiting staff. They created a very welcoming place to relax and eat. We asked a few questions about the renovation to Paul one of the waiting staff on shift, he spoke very highly of The Ship, his Teammates, and also the Management, it's lovely to hear positives comments about the Management in any workplace. Paul and the other members of staff on shift that day are a credit to you.

Greene King pub so know what to expect. Family friendly and also dog friendly with it'd own dog menu which is such a good idea. Was bury busy when we went but didn't have to wait too long even though queue was out the door. Plenty of outdoor seating and table service. Would highly recommend.

Lovely pub, lovely staff and easy atmosphere. Lovely pictures on all the walls. Food came in under 5 mins, and it was great, and under £10 for a full meal! So good. And ketchup was in a bottle!!

Had a lovely meal here....veggie option of pulled mushroom chilli was gorgeous. Good portion sizes. Not too big, not too small, really tasty and very reasonable. Also had a low alcohol lager which was very nice, so thanks for stocking that for us non-drinkers! Staff were brilliant. Friendly, relaxed, welcoming and helpful. Was a very quiet night in January, but place was warm and welcoming. Loving the decor too! Will most definitely be back again as we stop over in Cat Nab. Will 100% recommend. Well done guys x

Fantastic location, sitting with a drink overlooking the beach is amazing. The fish n chips however, were substandard - pre battered fish, frozen chips and no scraps. Service extremely slow at the outside chippy - the chef was hungover and made no secret of it. Maybe teething problems, I hope so.

Jan 2024 Walked along the beach from Marske-by-the-Sea to Saltburn-by-the-Sea. Arrived 11:35ish. Was disappointed that we couldn't order a side order of chips to go with the beer, so we went & got chips elsewhere, walked round to the bottom of Huntcliffe and came back for the beer a bit later on. Sat outside in the covered area. The seats were nice. Walked back to Marske-by-the-Sea afterwards. April 2023 Thursday lunchtime meal for 2. Chicken parmo (half) and vegan cottage pie for £18. Great value & I love those chips. Best location for a walk along Huntcliffe and a drink outside looking over the sea after the walk. Life doesn't get better than this. Jan 2023 Thursday evening meal out for 3. 2 sirloin steaks and 1 vegan chilli. All very satisfied. Good tasty food. Original review Great food. Big portions. I'm 6' tall and 17st 7lb and I struggled to finish a full Ship Inn parmo. Very tasty, fabulous chips and a perfect place for a walk afterwards to help it go down!!!
