Fantastic night last night for St Paddys day. Starting with a lovely meal, me and my partner had the cod fillet and we can't wait to come back and have it again, so delicious! We then were entertained with music by Josh Taylor in the bar and had a great evening drinking, singing and dancing, even the staff joined in. Always a fantastic welcome from all the staff. Kerry, Beth and Lewi were great at getting the guests up and dancing. Thank you!!
Attended a wedding here last weekend and my wife and I had a fabulous time the staff especially Kerry Jones couldn't have looked after us any better they were all fantastic. A wonderful place for any wedding or party of any kind or just pop in for a drink or a meal as the food is fabulous, thanks again Cardinals Hat, Andy and Helen. X

I have never been to a pub and felt more welcome. The food was delicious, the staff are kind and accomodating of fussy children, and our evening meal was a thouroughly enjoyed time. �

Situated in Cornwall near a little place called Hatt.The pub is quite spacious and has a good selection of food. I had a nice carvery There was plenty of it. Service was good I didn't have to wait much at all. Nice clean and lovely style setting in the pub. Also a good selection of drinks. There is also a lot of parking space. And space to sit outside if weather is good. It was a pleasant experience which I will do again. I do reccomend this place for a visit.
The food was pretty good for the cost. On site parking with narrow spaces. Nice looking place with some retro style motel rooms at the back. Food was OK, didn't change my life but was filling and tasty if a bit expensive. Staff were accommodating and polite. Lots of different areas to eat like in the bar or restaurant depending on the customers likes.
Had a carvery today, which they offer on a Wednesday and Sunday. Nice location with plenty of parking, welcoming and clean premises, very friendly and helpful staff. The food is delicious and good quality, the best carvery I've had. I would certainly recommend a visit, you won't be disappointed.
Absolutely loved staying here. Have now been here twice.The accommodation are mainly Chalets on suite. Toilet and then a separate bathroom. Car parking outside the Chalets. Plus beautiful greenery gardens behind.Reasonable rates per night. Worth staying if someone is visiting Portsmouth,and need peace and quiet. Quite tranquil.
I don't know what to say to express mine and my new wife's gratitude for everything that Kerry and the team did to make our special day so perfect. All the staff were very friendly and helpful the food was amazing. The accommodation was lovely too. We would most definitely recommend the cardinals hatt to anyone wanting to book a wedding. First of all the staff were absolutely lovely! They were very polite and helpful throughout our stay. The room was a nice size and perfect for our dogs because each room has a seperate door to the outside so great ease when we got them out for walks. The shower was very roomy and the water came out hot. The TV was a good size, and had lots of channels. The WiFi had great signal for our room aswell.
The only negative things would be that the door didn't lock/unlock easily which wasn't great when it was pouring down with rain outside! Also the bed wasnt great either. The slats kept falling through when we sat on it so made for a not very comfortable night sleep.
Other than that we would highly recommend staying here. Thank you for being such great hosts :)
Staff all very friendly and welcoming. We went for the carvery on a Wednesday - the food was top quality and amazing good value. If I lived closer I would certainly be going there again.
Very busy night tonight but it didn't impact on this place's service or food. Just finished a sumptuous anniversary meal. Fourth visit recently - two carveries and two evening dinners. All been superb. Best chef you've had in a long time. We'll done.
Cracking Stella lovely pub and beer garden. Rooms are being refurbed. Bedding and towels top notch. £50 a night nice base to cover off exploring Cornwall. Full English is a must was excellent value for money recommend.
Went here for lunch. Very friendly service, food really good. A little on the pricey side for what it was, but would go back again.
Went back for a carvery... Absolutely cracking! Good selection of well cooked vegetables, good meat and reasonably priced... Will definitely return.
Kerry and Chef Gary did the wedding of my daughter and son in law very proud. Food was excellent throughout and my kind of breakfast 😆
Looking forward to the overhaul of your chalets now you guys are in charge and will stay again.
