Lovely friendly staff. Lasagne was delicious. I had a small portion which was great for me. Nice to have the choice of a smaller portion. Reasonably priced. Appeared to have a fairly long vegetarian menu as well.
Called in on the off chance as the menu looked good, and was not disappointed. Nice well cooked homemade food, (with plenty of vegetarian options) fantastic desserts, and a great atmosphere. Friendly attentive staff. Definitely worth a visit
Husband and I popped in for lunch and were very happy with the whole experience. Great service and really nice food - we had a panini each, his steak, onion chutney and cheese, and mine bacon, brie and cranberry. Both were served with a side salad and we ordered a bowl of chips to share. One of the
Called in for impromptu lunch at 4.00 pm today - chose the carvery which was excellent. Tender meat, lots of flavours and roast potatoes and parsnips were crisp and tasty …. So many carveries roast potatoes are hard and dry - Not So! Very good. Local couple who have eaten here on and off for many ma
Five of us ate here today. All of us thought the food was excellent, and we all had different meals from a large breakfast to lasagne, scampi to burger with goats cheese and a carvery. A few also had some home made Baileys cheesecake too and that was also excellent. The portion sizes were also very
I like to write honest reviews so I've taken a star off. Firstly the Sunday carvery is better than most places although the stuffing is terrible always dry and hard. Beef is succulent and cauliflower cheese is top notch. Service is ok. Please clean the tables as they are as sticky as a pub floor on
Fantastic food so friendly and helpful . The carvery on a Sunday is a must . Weekly food is lovely too. We come here often and have never had a bad meal .I would and have recommended to friends 10/10
This place is wonderful in all aspects of a meal out. Been many times and never disappointed, they even managed to squeeze us in at the last minute. See you again soon. Thanks
What a lovely place to have lunch. Fantastic atmosphere, great food and the staff were super friendly. If you haven't visited, it's well.worth the travel
Thanks to Tania, who seated and served us, we had a very pleasant experience. She was like a ray ray of sunshine. Nothing was too much trouble. She was friendly and helpful and because of her suggestion we indulged in a dessert, which we would'nt normally, but she tempted us with the icecream. A def
Very welcoming eating house. Unfortunately when they left saltash ploughboy pub we were devastated but when rod told us that they had this place we were over joyed for them. You won't find more welcoming hosts and if the dinners are as amazing as ours was always then all will be great..
Big portions, good variety, including some old fashioned liver and onion with mash and hot beef sandwich with roasties and gravy 😀. Plus a Specials board. Friendly staff, easy parking but on gravel so bit more difficult for wheelchair or Zimmer users.
Fantastic find .. lovely fresh cooked food, staff very helpful and the venue is lovely and clean and modern.... definitely be coming back 💖💖💖 excellent value for money.
Went today for carvery and wasn't disappointed. Clean and tidy. Food was delicious and plentiful. Dessert menu amazing but due to size of dinner we had to take ours home to have later. Staff were brilliant. Will definitely be going back soon.
