Had a wonderful family meal at The Who tonight the place is looking Fanstactic the food well what can I say I had steak & ale pie and to be honest it’s the best I’ve ever had the staff were welcoming and attentive all in all a very enjoyable evening would definitely recommend.
Got to be mine and the families favourite eating house. The staff, the food and location are tops. We've had many a fantastic meal here and highly recommend it.
Was able to hold an AGM and Presentation here tonight. Fabulous service and nothing is too much trouble. Lovely staff and the owner was more than obliging. Such a beautiful place. Very tasty food too. Thank you very much. We will definitely be back.
Wonderful meal, cooked to perfection. Busy well attended pub, food was beautifully presented and full of flavour. Booking is wise. Paid far less for a delicious meal than we paid the night before at St Mellion!
Food and the service was exceptional however, what lets it down (like most good pubs) is the extortionate wine list prices. £6.50 for a large wine is simply profiteering.
But this place is nearly always fully booked and even though i disagree with their pricing structure, we will go there again.
The pub is very cosy lovely little country pub .food and staff lovely. Excellent service. Reasonably priced. Have been a couple of times recently. Will be going again.
Fabulous venue, fabulous food and fabulous staff.....would highly recommend!
lovely country pub, lovely 3 course turkey meal and nice cider on tap....fully recommended for quality food and nice country atmosphere top marks...
Love our local. Excellent food, service and wine. We would recommend to everyone. Thanks Paul and Emma.
We just had a lovely Sunday roast here, there aren't many places I can say that about! I am usually disappointed when I go out for roast dinner, not here though!
The food was really, really good- all home cooked and fresh, tasted great!
The staff were very friendly and accommodating too, we will definitely be back! 😋
It's the perfect place to stop for some food and drink after a walk at Cotehele 🙂
My wife and I just wanted few days away, nothing wrong with hotel's but they are all the same after a while so we picked this pub.
Quiet country location, old oak beams abound, good check in very friendly and efficient. Room is basic but large by bed (Emma) great sleep, wonderful shower, all soft water and your 5 steps from the car park, didn't get disturbed by the customers.
Food: Damn good chef, really good menu, good service we haven't had this level of excellence in food for years.
Breakfast was very good, proper smoked bacon and good eggs, service was again very good.
We did have a little let down with the breakfast on the Sunday but I can't really hold that against them, these things happen and it was sorted out quickly enough. Other than that we'll be back as very restful and enjoyable visit.
Prices- very reasonable for both food and drinks, it's a little gem of place.
Fresh fillet of Hake in brown shrimp butter sauce with greens and new potatoes.
BBQ selection
Tempura squid
New York burger, pastrami...
Slow cooked pork belly with black pudding mash and brown sauce gravy.
Tiramisu home made
Had a fantastic meal here. Kim was very knowledgeable about the menu and recommended the specials. The fish n chips had such an amazing delicate batter and cooked to perfection. Hubby had the steak which was also cooked to perfection
Kim bought Dev ( the chef ) out to meet us and it was such a pleasure to meet someone who had a real passion for his craft. The pic is of my starter, a masterpiece of creamy garlic mushrooms. Can’t fault anything. Will be back for sure Tony and Carole
Booked an evening meal and it was absolutely fantastic whilst holidaying in Callington.
Everyone in our family enjoyed their meal and desert. Even for our 7 person fam nothing was an issue for service, although I would constructively suggest another or bigger pizza oven.
We had dinner as a table of 12 for my birthday. Staff were really lovely, food was cooked to order so we didnt mind waiting although it came out within half an hour. Food was yummy all round. We had a varied selection of the menu including childrens meals and it was all good. Will definitely be back. 😁
Met up with friends for lunch, fairly quiet.
Friendly staff.
Good food, we had Scampi and chips, fish and chips, Caesarea salad and the pie of the day all delicious.
Went to market inn Tavistock for partner to meet some old friends.
Got recommended this pub from owner of sister pub and wow what a find.
All staff where fantastic and food was amazing will defo come again.
Staff Lovely and very accommodating.
Posh Fish and Chips - So nice, and so simple.... Everyone should sell this as a healthier alternative.
Pricing - Average to High
Had a loverly evening meal, was busy with bookings (2 very large parties) but still managed to serve us in a reasonable time. Service was great and the food very tasty, though best if you like your veg on the "crunchy" side. I can recommend the mushroom pie, very tasty, and the kids fish and chips is a very generous portion!
Brilliant one night stopover for ferry. A bit out of town but well worth the extra 10 minute drive. Food, service all excellent. Room has all you need and complimentart coffee and tea.
Came in on the off chance ... we were later than lunch time. The lady who served us was rushed off her feet, but made us feel so welcome. The food was good and the fire was warm! This was May 2023 and it was pouring down outside. Really nice atmosphere.
Having just moved to the area, we love looking for great places to eat, and this is a great place, food awesome, service friendly, and inviting.
We will be back!!
Had an early evening meal for family of 4 today, polite friendly attentive staff, all meals were great but the monkfish curry was exceptional...one of the tastiest Curry's I've eaten anywhere...thank you for a great meal.
Amazing food, my other half quoted “best roast I’ve ever had”.
