Called in for an hour this afternoon and loved the atmosphere and feel of this quality Cornish pub. Was told its a Marmite bar, and if that's the case, the bigger the jar the better, and I'll have a double portion!!Amazing menu and great service. Loved it, and will definitely be back soon.
Lovely friendly place to eat we had seafood gumbo as our main and a fruit crumble for after both were amazing staff were very nice will definitely be back to this little gem of a place soon
Incredibly friendly staff, amazing seafood and a just brilliant pub. One of the few places I go back too. The crab claws and scallops are cooked perfectly every time and are bursting with flavour.
Brilliant food, fish and chips best I've tasted at a fair price. I've downed the service because I sat waiting at the table for service, in the end I realised that I had to go to the bar to order, once ordered I went and sat down again, the food was delivered to the table then I waited for knives an
A proper pub! Lovely place serving great food. Friendly staff. Kid friendly - lovely little playground over the road for kids too
Had a fantastic meal here, such a great place, like going back in time but just fabulous and the food is absolutely amazing. Landlord is a top bloke
Best crab sandwich I've ever had, the prawns we're brilliant as well, I'll be back.
I took my wife and her mum to the pub for a meal the evening before Mother's Day. This was our first visit to this particular pub, and when we arrived, I was a bit worried as the whole pub was watching an England versus Ireland rugby match, and it was both crowded and very loud. Poor old mother-in-
Fantastic proper pub , friendly welcome and amazing seafood as always šŸ˜‹ always make a effort to stop by when passing
Great pub no issues you get exactly what it says on the tin. Well worth a visit. Great šŸ‘
Stayed here at the end of April, 2023. Lovely pub, fantastic room, brilliant food and friendly, excellent service. What more can I say other than we have booked to go here again in July!
Good food and drinks at this delightful pub, oozing atmosphere - aided by wonderful Christmas decorations inside and out, sensibly kept in place throughout January. The best fire I've ever seen in a pub, with huge logs. Very friendly staff. Dogs welcomed.
Amazing quirky place like frozen in time. Very recommended by many of our friends in the area and they where all spot on! Delicious Mulled Cider and Nachos! Donā€™t miss the fire place in winter time. So cozy! Very friendly staff.
Absolutely love this place. Been coming here for many years & it really is a home from home. Couldnā€™t be made anymore welcome by everyone.
Great to find such a gem of a 'proper' pub with excellent well looked after beers on hand pump. Friendly staff and a lovely snug atmosphere, thanks
Best lunch in an age! King prawns and a glass of gorgeous wine. Love this place especially in the winter. Prompt and friendly service, good old fashioned pub and a car park too. We'll be back.
The food was lovely and the staff very friendly. A real gem of a place.Very old pub. However it smelt musty inside. Had plastic table cloths and blue wooden chairs. Interior needed a face lift. Would not have stayed if it had not been for the recommendations about the food quality. Loved that we sa
