Probably the best meal I’ve ever had to be honest! As a group of 4 we ordered (almost) all of the savoury menu and were certainly not disappointed. Amazing combinations of flavours, delicious cocktails, fantastic wine, great service. Came away very pleased indeed. Would thoroughly recommend.

Best food I've had in Salisbury. Love the smaller plates allowing us to sample four of the main dishes. All of them were exceptionally good. Service was friendly and relaxed and the view over the Market Square from our table was pleasant. Highly recommended.

You cannot go wrong at Allium. The food and service are impeccable! Highly recommend the fish soup, duck, and any version of the trout (if you can get there before the menu changes). This is a must try, must return spot in Salisbury for anyone who enjoys food!

Very high quality and interesting food, with a wide choice of wine, quite a bit by the glass. Clearly a great chef and kitchen staff, with professional serving staff. I particularly enjoyed both of the fish dishes - stonefish and sea bass - and the lovely sauces that came with them. A standout choice in Salisbury. Keep it up!

A gem of a restaurant with excellent modern cuisine using local top quality ingredients. Each item comes filled with flavour and the portions are sufficient to ensure you come away satisfied. The staff were great making you welcome and comfortable.

Very well cooked food, the texture and taste were perfect. Fish soup is extremely well worth a try. So is the service. Shame they no longer do tasting menu, would love to try that.

Imaginative, excellent dishes with a very good choice of wine and beer. The experience is like tapas, in that you select enough options so that there are sbout 2 per person at the table, and then everyone shares them.

Well executed meal with friendly staff and a good but narrow menu and wine list. Nothing bad, nothing exceptional. Newly redecorated room lacked ambience and airflow.

Alium is all about food, the decor is a bit bland, service is good enough (and not irritatingly showy as some foody places are). But the food is exceptional, especially at this price point. Between two, we shared 4 small plates and a shared assiette of desserts plus a decent bottle of wine for a shade over £50 each. Each dish was fine dining quality, the confit duck with mango and curried sweet potato puree was exceptional as was one of the best cooked fillet of mullet I have ever had (beautifully crispy skin and fall apart moist flesh served with a bisque). I liked the small plate menu with the expectation of sharing, which means you end up with your own custom tasting menu, I would have struggled to choose just one dish. People with large appetites would probably want a plate or 2 more than we had, but with each dish around £10 hardly bank breaking. If you want imaginative uncompromisingly good food without pretension, this is the place

Had dinner here on 12 August 2020. Small menu choice but had the Szechuan-spiced rump of beef which was cooked perfectly, delicious and very tender. Served with a good sized soy glazed carrot, charred leeks and a peanut crumb. I was happy, then even more so when beautiful croquette potatoes and tasty green beans were brought to compliment the dish. Very good, delicious food, well presented with excellent service. Highly recommended. Went back for the lunch menu a few days ago. Superb quality again with 3 courses for £22.50 - great value. Everything was delicious and a gorgeous dessert, chocolate mousse filo tart. Easily the best restaurant in Salisbury imho.
