Went in for a warming Sunday lunch on a wet and cold Sunday afternoon, and I must say loved an afternoon in a traditional but modernised county pub.
We requested to sit down in the bar side as the music and the atmosphere was just what was needed on a miserable day. My Girlfriend and I were served by a chatty and friendly waitress (Amy) who took time to go through the menu and what was still available (as we were quite late for a lunch service) I decided to go for the beef roast and my Girlfriend had the lamb shank... the food was absolutely delicious and very filling! Amy then tempted us into a warm brownie pudding which put the icing on the cake!!
After our lunch we decided to sit up by the bar and got chatting to John working behind the bar, he was very helpful with recommending drinks and introduced me to a lovely new Gin!
All in all we enjoyed our afternoon in a friendly country pub, its great to see a small village pub run by such a young, friendly couple. Would certainly recommend and will be back soon
