Set in the Market square in Salisbury its the perfect place to sip a cold beer and people watch on a sunny day. Nice old building added to its charm as do the young friendly and funky bar staff. Good range of beers and well-cooked food.

Came here for a works Christmas Dinner. My first ever visit here for anything, despite living locally very impressed with the quality of food and the friendly service. When I arrived they issued me with a slip with my name and pre-ordered menu selections. strongly recommend the Ox Row Inn as a venue for your works Christmas Dinners.

We happened across this lovely pub after traveling to visit Stonehenge. Absolutely amazed by the service and kindness to travelers. The food was divine. I loved the traditional pie of the day (can’t recall name, but it was a beef and cabbage variety). And the burgers... After growing up on a farm, I’ve had a few beautiful burgers in my life, but the beef was really something special. Our teen devoured this exquisite burger- glad I was able to steal a bite. We were in town to see Stonehenge, and wanted some traditional eats. We started with a cider and an ale, and ice cream for the kids. (You must try the salted carmel ice cream. I believe the bartender said it was made from buffalo milk?!) The best part- we needed to catch an early train back to London, but really wanted to have dinner there. They aren’t fully equipped for take-away (translation: carry-out), but Jason the bartender and the chef figured out the most delightful way to send us back with one of our favorite meals and memories of our trip. Special kudos to the chef for making it extra special. He was concerned the brioche buns would sag in the tin foil, so he wrapped them in paper also- they traveled perfectly. It was the most authentic vibe and conversions we’ve had- the locals at the bar were humorous and witty. I wish Americans could discover how to discuss politics in as light of a way as they did. We loved Salisbury- we loved the outside seating- but be sure to go inside also. It’s beautiful. We will definitely be back! Thanks for a wonderful afternoon.

We stopped in while visiting the city from America. The inn has an old school traditional feel to it. It was a really nice day so we sat outside. You order at the bar and then they bring everything out to you. The bartenders were very friendly and attentive. We ordered the board for two that came with pork rolls, pork pies, and scotch eggs. Everything was delicious! We enjoyed our time here!

We stopped here for lunch. It was pleasant place to sit for an hour or so the food was really nice. My chicken was amazing. Very very tasty. The reason I’m dropping a star is as a non-alcoholic drinker. I felt the beverages were a bit limited, and there was no Coke only Pepsi.

Great first expierence with Englisch Food. The brass QR codes on the table are not working, but you can order directly at the bar. I did not expected such a welcoming, polite and great service, but staff was great. Food too!!! Very delicious.

Beef and mushroom pie was very good. Curry was good and Vegan. Caesar salad with chicken schnitzel was good, but it was actually some breaded chicken and salad. It was a pretty good Chicken Caesar. Trout salad was excellent. Nice place, friendly staff. They raved about the Ox cheeks but then they were out so I didn't get to try them.

Great Sunday lunch venue. Generous portions of well cooked traditional English food. Good atmosphere, plenty of room indoors. Good space outside situated in a market square away from traffic. It's what you're looking for in a traditional English pub. If you're seeking something classier than the average budget pub, you've found it here. Plenty of nearby parking. Top marks for wheelchair access. Definitely recommend.

Had a lovely afternoon yesterday (23rd October) staff was friendly, one lady who was working spoke to my daughter after she was pretending to order a drink and she was kind enough to get her a j20 for free. It was really sweet of her. Also I asked if I could keep a pint glass as liked the design on it. They happily let me take a fresh one home. All round lovely pub great atmosphere, and great staff.

The food and the service was amazing. The portions are good. We are not locals and wanted to find a space to eat with our little one after a heavy rain. Staff was very lovely. Our server Paris was very sweet. Thank you for a lovely night.

Great service, great food, great atmosphere. Amazing staff. Super friendly, very helpful, comfortable seating inside and outside. Next to a lot of stores, you can do some great shopping in this area. One difficult thing is finding parking.

Had a lovely lunch at Ox Row Inn. Food and service was lovely. Their smoked mushrooms are to die for. I would gladly travel to Salisbury just to eat their smoked mushrooms again. Pork chop was tender and so juicy. Xx

My favourite thing about this old English pub is how great the service is, as all of the Front of House staff (waitstaff, servers and bar staff) are very friendly and very kind, they create a brilliant atmosphere. The food here is absolutely delicious. My mother is a very fussy eater when eating out, and she’s loved both of the two meals she’s had here so far. It’s proper English pub food, and tastes delicious and hearty. It’s also a very beautiful, old pub. Definitely recommend!

Good pub! My friend nearly had a heart attack earlier today but enjoyed this pub in spite of it! A stimulating environment...but not enough to end him The staff were friendly and joined in with our jokes which was very welcomed by all parties! The other clientele were friendly and had a great debate concerning Salisbury

We stopped here for Sunday lunch. We didn't have time to book, but they managed to find us a table. The staff we welcoming & helpful. The decor was great, with Fairy lights across the ceiling. The pork Sunday roast came with a huge bit of crackling & a Yorkshire pudding as big as my head. :D Very generous portions. We'll definitely visit again.

Lovely Doggo 🐶 friendly pub in the centre of Salisbury with outdoor seating on the market Square. Didn't have food on our visit, but did look & smell great, a definite try on our next visit. Advertised local quiz nights. Staff were friendly, approachable and tentative to everyone, even when the bar was busy. Great work! 👍

Had Sunday roast which was delicious. Unfortunately, the pub ran out of the vegan option which meant that the vegan member of our group had to look for food elsewhere - not great. Otherwise, all great. There was even a band entertaining the guests. I'd definitely visit again.
