My husband took me here last night for my birthday treat he’d been a few times and said it’s amazing well he was not joking I had the 10oz rump steak with blue cheese sauce and I have never ever tasted rump like it it cld’ve easily been mistaken for fillet it was moist and melt In the mouth. I had crayfish tails and prawns as a starter and it was huge and delish. I have always wanted to try a proper burger but as a burger snob and have always been disappointed with burgers every time I’ve had one as no one ever seems to make them tasty just a tasteless lump of meat slapped in a bun over cooked and drab well my husband had the rump burger with onion marmalade and Isle of Wight blue cheese and I was able to sample it and can I just say it was the most amazing tastiest burger I have ever sampled will Defo be back for that everything was top notch it’s a bit pricey having discovered my large glass of Merlot was £8.50 but it was my birthday and well worth a special ocassion visit or any other visit to be honest can’t recommend it enough truly unbelivably amazing u won’t regret it can’t wait to go back
Had the most lovely meal and overnight stay. Staff were friendly, efficient and attentive, nothing was too much trouble. We enjoyed a private dining room which was perfect and reminiscent of an old saloon bar. The rooms were all individually and tastefully furnished. I stayed in room 12 with a huge walk in shower. If you like a bath then room 3 is the one for you with a roll top tub big enough to swim in! Stairs are very worn and wonky which adds to the charm of the place, can honestly say there was nothing I didn't love!
Outstanding two nights here for my daughters graduation x we stayed on the top floor in the blue room....soooo comfy😴 best nights sleep ever...which was a blessing after climbing the 41 topsy-turvy stairs after a few gins😂 very accommodating staff x thank you for making a special weekend even more so 👩🏼🎓☺️🎓
Over the last 6 months (through working in the Salisbury area) I've stayed many nights at the Chapter House and can highly recommend. So much so I'll be heading there whenever I visit the area. Not only is it a great place to stay, fabulous food but also really great staff. FYI watch out for the steaks and rack of ribs...

Brilliant food, great atmosphere, never been before but will be going back. Steak was awesome and I don’t use that word often. Thanks to our lovely waitress Charlotte she was fantastic...5 stars is not enough....
Excellent food. Could perhaps argue that the fillet steak was pricy for its size less than 200g. It was however lean and melted in mouth so very happy. Venue very nice as were staff. Will definitely go again.

Had 6 weeks to evaluate Chapter House while my husband was working nearby. The staff was amazing and so accommodating and made every day special. The restaurant is fabulous and the ribs are fall off the bone fabulous. I enjoyed a steak a couple of times and can tell you it ranks with the best steak houses. Thanasi, General Manager was just incredible and couldn't have been better to us. We will be back!!!
Definitely the best place to eat in Salisbury the food is perfect every time we've been there and the staff are excellent

This is the best place I have Eaten within 50 mile radius, amazing steak allways good service and homley atmosphere will be back again for sure
The atmosphere is excellent The food is Heaven. The drinks and the music it's all at very high expectations
Still here on our second night. What a wonderful cozy and friendly place to stay. Last night we ate in the restaurant. Enjoyed the best steak meal I've ever had, seriously!
Rooms are unique, beautifully clean and cozy. Breakfast was perfect.
A short stroll into town, lots of historic buildings, shops, bars and restaurants.
We're definitely coming back and haven't left yet!!

Great food and excellent lunch time deals. Never had such tender rump steak before. It's as good as fillet.
