The ambiance is spot-on, with just the right balance of cozy and lively. We recently celebrated my husband's birthday at The Black Lion, and I can't recommend this place highly enough! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was incredibly inviting and just perfect for our celebration.

Ideally located for the AO arena. Great value rooms with a comfortable bed and fantastic shower. Good breakfast and good value bar food, especially with the 20% discount for guests. The staff are all really friendly and helpful, and we'll definitely stay again.

Ideal for a central stay , rooms are furnished in a modern style and facilities are excellent. Food was lovely in the bar and will return here most certain.
Really nice friendly and polite staff. The service was really quick with the food. We stopped by for something to eat on our way to a gig. I forgot to take pictures of the food, but it was steak and cheese on chips and was reasonably priced and filled a hole!

Room was very good! Very close to city centre! Room was clean, but cleaners didn't empty the bins when they came to do the bed. But otherwise all was very good! English breakfast was very good!
I had an awesome stay here this week! The room was very modern, clean, and spacious. I loved that the room itself didn’t have carpet. The team was so helpful and kind, the location is excellent, and they have little things going on every so often at the pub like trivia nights that you can join in on

Can't comment on the rooms as we didn't stay here. Visited the pub and had a few games of pool. Great place with friendly staff and a great atmosphere. Like traditional pubs used to be.
