Went to this wonderfully delicious place on opening night. I can honestly say that the food did not disappoint. The staff were very helpful. Served food quickly but didn't rush you!! Excellent will be going again
Tried this place last night after numerous recommendations and I can confirm they didn’t disappoint. Really friendly and explained dishes that I hadn’t heard of before. The food was amazing, curry like I have never tasted before and so tasty. Will definitely be returning, my new favourite curry house. Well done guys
The best Indian restaurant I have been in for a long time. Excellent service, great ambience and fantastic food. We had a selection of starters - onion bhajis, seek kebab and toxic chicken tikka. All had a great fresh, clean taste. For mains we had Peps Lila (keema with chicken) and Tamarind Chilli Chicken. These were refreshingly different without the heavy blandness so typical of many Indian restaurants. And if you want alcohol the Co-Op is opposite. We will be back.
Second time I’ve been in here since Abs & his colleagues have taken over. Absolutely amazing. Great menu, delicious food. Service is outstanding. My new favourite curry house �

Hidden Treasure - delicious food
Not sure my expectations were that high. Green Pepper is a simple storefront with a minimalist but functional restaurant eating area. No fripperies here, just a focus on eating. There are some great images of green peppers on the walls, but not much else.
It turned out to be a real hidden treasure. Friendly service, a wide range of dishes, and excellent food.
It's a BYOB restaurant with a Co-Op and several other nearby places that sell wine and beer. Rather than being negative, the idea of not paying restaurant drink prices is appealing.
A pile of poppadoms started us out. They were fresh, grease-free, and accompanied by four excellent sauces.
We ordered onion bhajis and prawn pati as a starter for the table. My companions loved the pati, swearing to order it again. This bodes well for the rest of the meal.
The four curries we followed with were absolutely first-class. I like a really spicy dish and was not disappointed. The naan was fantastic, and the rice was fluffy and fresh.
We left full and satisfied, having paid a modest amount for our meal.
Lovely job! They deserve to do well. Eat in if you can, or grab some take-out and enjoy.

Great service and good food! Staff is very friendly and look after you. Nice authentic background music. You can also bring your own alcohol if you stay in. I used to order take away only. However, you can sit in and it has restaurant environment rather than take away.

I visited The Green Pepper on the 30 December 2021 with my parents.
To say that the food was wonderful would be an understatement.The lady that served us was was very friendly and provided an excellent service looking after us.
The place is well located with a carpark close by and a bus stop.The restaurant doesn't have an alcohol license but there are shops over the road if you wish to bring your own.They provide glasses if you do bring alcohol and they do sell soft drinks if you don't.They also provide a takeaway service.
I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone who enjoys a good Indian curry.

We ordered 5 curries and every single one was completely polished off. Decent prices and ready really quickly from point of ordering. First time we've used the takeaway but we'll definitely use it again!
