Six of us spent a lovely afternoon at The Bridge yesterday, the staff couldn’t have been more helpful, the food was delicious, I would highly recommend the Sunday lunch, very busy place and nothing was too much trouble we shall definitely go back.

I had the most wonderful lunch today. The place is beautiful and with the sun shining, the conservatory overlooking the canal is the place to be. The service was excellent and the food was great. A lovely Steak Frites. I didn't even know this place existed, but now that I know, I will definitely be back.

My wife and I called in whilst we were out having a walk down the canal. What a lovely friendly place. Dog friendly, polite staff, excellent service and very tasty food to boot. I would definitely be calling in again and would recommend it to anyone 👍

Sunday 6th May, busy in & out. Sat outside in the sun with Mike Latham & had a pizza from the outside catering. Fantastic Sweet Chilli chicken, hit the spot as did the Somersby & Manchester lager beer.

Nice surprise

First time been since it was renovated. Met by Jake who looked after us. Did a fabulous job. No rush excellent advice regarding the ribs which were really good. Other member f team asked us if all ok and was also very friendly.

The lamb shank was absolutely amazing unfortunately I ordered a veg curry which was quite bland (it was though the curry paste wasn’t used) but the rice and veg/beans were cooked well. I will definitely return as the service was great, the lamb shank was excellent and it has one of the most scenic gardens around.

We didn't book a table but managed to get a table. Got there for about 2pm on a Sunday. (3 people). The food was delicious, fresh and tasty. We had the roast Chicken, Beef and the Steak and Ale Pie. The atmosphere was lively and the staff were attentive. Definitely will be back 10/10.

First time there in a year or so due to moving out of the area but it is even nicer than it was then. The menu has had an overhaul and there is definitely something for everyone! I had the cheese and onion pie which was amazing and others I was with had the burger, lamb shanks and steak and they all really enjoyed it too! We were sat in the conservatory which was gorgeous (even though it was raining!). My only complaint was the beers had MASSIVE heads on them which weren't cut off... hence beer dripping everywhere! Thank you to the chefs and the team for a lovely meal out

First most, the staff were so friendly and inviting! It just felt like going round to a friends house. The food was lovely and served in good time. It has a lovely outdoor area with a little hut for wood fired pizza. It sits next to the canal, which is nice and is also dog friendly. Would recommend.

Very friendly and welcoming staff. Amazing view. Lots of places to sit inside and outside. The drink menu is very diverse and reasonable in price. Food has lovely presentation and smells delicious... We will try it next time for sure 😊

Visited on a recommendation and what a great call! Clare made us feel so welcome from the second we arrived.. amazing service!! such a great location love the more adult menu not typical pub grub and the cocktails are well worth a few minutes more wait! And value for money 2 for 1£14 . My chef brother was very impressed will definitely return hoping to make the Wednesday quiz night . Thank you for such a lovely evening especially Clare. Hope I spelled Clare correctly 😀💚X

Location, decor, beer and vegetables were good, but my shank of lamb meat was hard and chewy, fortunately they are dog friendly, so the dogs had a feast

Great place to be in the sunshine. A bit of confusion about queues at the bar but apart from that it was all good. Lucky to have a place like this on the canal. Food was good, great pizza! Staff were super helpful and friendly

Simple. Best restaurant in Sale and further exemplified by the fantastic canal side location. Cannot be bettered especially on a sunny afternoon. Easy access from the canal. Great for a stop off on a walk, bike ride or boat trip. I am a regular diner, but I want to focus on one meal that is the 6oz. Black Angus fillet steak served with roast vine cherry tomatoes, ale battered onion rings, and optional peppercorn sauce( my favourite) I urge you to try it. The main reason to highlight this meal is I want it so popular that Kevin(the manager) will keep it on the menu for ages! The Bridge had just introduced a special menu which is changed every week for current customers most popular meals. If you have not tried The Bridge I urge you to try as you may be missing out on a fine dining experience.

When the sun is shining, there is nowhere better in Sale to have a drink. The espresso martini is delicious, always made with coffee and never too sweet. Miss Peroni at both bars - it's a shame you can't get one anymore. The bar has gotten better since the change of hands, but the cocktail menu isn't as good. I've not eaten here since the new owners, except a tasty pizza outside, so I can't really knock anything off or give an accurate review. I keep coming back, so it must be OK- or close to my house!

Disappointed that the roast chicken Sunday lunch had finished by 4-30 pm, but I suppose that's is what you get at such a popular pub. The sea bass and cheese pie were lovely though.
