An unexpected gem! Ridiculously tasty food (the mackerel salad was DELICIOUS), great cocktails and wine, and the front of house and chef were super friendly. Also had a great buzz and music. So glad we found this place!

Filling and flavourful! A must if your in Salcombe area and are looking for a moorish, but fresh lunch/dinner that’s located close to the moorings. When we arrived the Braai guy was super popular, but the team made every effort to look after us whilst we waited. Nice wine on offer and highly recommend the smoked margarita👌🏽 Genourous portions, our favourite was the smoked mackerel salad and bobotie. Having previously been veggie I also shared the cauliflower salad and smoked pepper burger which felt like a considered veggie option on the menu. Satisfied tummy - thanks!

Lovely meal at a great new restaurant this evening. Friendly, quick service and we loved the explosion of flavours. My favourites were the smoked mackerel salad and the jerk chicken. Would definitely go back again!

Incredible food we were a party of 5 that have just toured Italy and all over England and this was the best meal we had. The jerk chicken, pulled pork and corn ribs were outstanding and we all left being very happy and satisfied. Keep up the good work this is the real deal and I highly recommend this spotlessly clean restaurant.

Had a great evening @thebraiiguy Salcombe last night. We arrived towards the end of the evening and got a table straight away. Tom and his friendly team are just settling into their new restaurant but the food was just as good as always and served quickly. Pulled Beef burger and Jerk Chicken were delicious and South Hams lager 🍺. Well worth a visit, tucked away up an alleyway off Fore Street (Russell Court between Brocante and Salcombe Coffee Company).

The Smoked Mackerel Salad and Jerk Chicken were both delicious! Lovely restaurant, good portion sizes and very friendly staff. Thoroughly recommended, especially for a takeaway lunch on the river. And the smoked lime margarita is amazing!

Popped in here last week and wasn't disappointed. I had the jerk chicken which was excellent. My girlfriend had the smoked carrot burger which she thought was very tasty. For dessert I had the Malva pudding which was very good. Definitely a place I will visit when I'm next in Salcombe.

Just what salcombe needed. I hope they are here for good… Also appreciate the no booking tables rule. We typically book some of the better known restaurants three or so months in advance in peak season and this one ranks up there for quality and we just walked in. What a pleasant surprise. Good cocktails too. And the pulled pork fries are criminally good. If I have one suggestion it’s the fact they could have given me 20% less meat, charged me the same and I still would have been stuffed to the gills and just as satisfied.

We stopped in here for lunch today and I can say the 5 star reviews are justified. The portions are great, the meat is delicious and next time I’m in Salcombe we will definitely return. I highly recommend the pulled pork loaded fries (the meat was so succulent with plenty of it - best I’ve had). The brothers running the place are really friendly too - go support them.
