Another fabulous evening in the Ferry Inn last night - and not just because we won the quiz!! Lovely food, reasonably priced and friendly helpful staff. The manager really is exceptional, he never stops! Behind the bar, serving the food, checking everyone's having a nice time, and he writes a great quiz, am having another listen to my Motown CD tonight. Thanks

This is a fabulous pub with the most stunning views from the beer garden. Doggy friendly - which was super. The manager is so friendly and welcoming. The food is fabulous. We sat all afternoon and will definitely be returning. If you visit Salcombe you must visit The Ferry Inn. Just fantastic. Thank you.

You'll not get another view like this! Just sit and watch the world go by :-) Light snacks available. Unless you choose the top, indoor, bar there are steps which are quite steep so if you have a pram or elderly family members factor this in. I'll never visit Salcombe without coming back to The Ferry - it is quintessentially Salcombe.

Had a really nice burger meal, well presented and served. Stephen & Peter are great hosts and all the staff were friendly and welcoming. Views to die for over the estuary and towards the sea. Will use again when next in the area.

Nice location, stunning beer garden and good choice of drinks. A little pricey with a double G&T and a pint costing £22. Didn't eat here so cannot comment on the quality of the food.

Only come here for drinks and sit outside for the view if you can get a table as usually very busy. Food is ok, nothing special and drinks are expensive but have have a captive audience as the view from the garden is nice, if it wasn't for this I doubt I would come here

Brilliant location with brilliant staff. Just down a few steps hidden from view. The food looked amazing and was being eaten enthusiastically by all who were ordering. Nothing was being left either. There is an upstairs indoor area (allowing amazing views) and a downstairs indoor area both containing a bar, the larger bar is downstairs. There is also a large beer garden, which is accessible via some steep steps, with plenty of large benches and allowing you some outstanding views across to the other side of the estuary. There is a great choice of drinks with a choice of 3 Ales by Palmers so this is something different. There is also lager cider and other drinks available spirits wines etc. An absolutely fantastic place to visit in Salcombe. When in Salcombe you should certainly visit The Ferry Inn.

Go in, go to the top bar and open the tiny door 💕 a fun pub close to the beach full of charm and a decent pint at a price appropriate for its location. Nice young cool staff and a fun vibe. Elderly beware of steep stairs and the slippy floors, but perfect place for a brandy and a chat

We always come here when we're in the area. Definitely the best view in Salcombe for a nice drink. Plenty of outdoor seating, always super busy over the summer/school holidays. Perfect pit stop if walking from town down to North Sands!

Lovely Sunday lunch for 10 people - they popped is in our own room and the service was great. The roast dinners are fab, huge portions and loads of trimmings!

Best view in Salcombe and staff were great. The volume of the music and the musical theatre playlist had a negative impact on the atmosphere. As someone that has been coming to this pub for over 20 years this is the poorest playlist I have experienced.

I love this pub and is one of my favourite in the UK. I have been coming to this pub for many years and the drink options are not the best offering in Salcombe these days. I would recommend putting Crabbies and Aperol Spritz back on the menu, and possibly a Hugo Spritz. Also, this year the music isn't very varied and only appears to be musical theatre. Although, I do not have an issue with musical theatre music I don't think the Ferry Inn is the place. Bring back pig racing!!!

Great location, with beer garden next to the estuary. If too cold or windy, good views from inside
