Been here lots of times and love this pub . Robert the manager was faultless , bringing the best G&Ts to our table , friendly and really lovely with the dogs . Best place to come in Salcombe & the chicken curry!!! Ooooo just the best
When staying in Salcombe we love coming to the Victoria Inn. The food is superb and different to normal "pub" food. The staff are always very friendly. Would certainly recommend a visit but best to book in advance.
Another gorgeous lunch at the Victoria Inn...every year we come to Salcombe this is top on our places to eat!
Gorgeous crab sandwiches for me and Grandma whilst Elysia and Grandad tucked in to delightful fish finger sandwiches!
Chloe had ham, egg and chips - looked and tasted divine!
Well done to all the team - you work hard to get the accolades you deserve!!
Here's a picture of the crab sandwich...oops sorry too delicious, all gone!
Happened upon this place by accident. Lovely food, polite helpful staff and a hidden , large second floor eating area and a lovely beer garden and kids play area at rear accessible via the stairs beside the bar
A very friendly, welcoming pub. Excellent food & love that they have a dog treat menu! Would highly recommend 😀
Great if you have a dog or two. very friendly. Loved the Al a Bark doggie menu it was a hit with the hounds. I even bought them a take away of pigs ears.
I recommend the crab sandwich for the humans. Lush. We all had a great time.

We were looked after by Rob and had an amazing meal, the best meal out we've had in a long while...highly recommend the lamb tagine!
Just had a very enjoyable meal at the Victoria. A family of 3 plus the dog we're well catered for. Highly recommend
We've ended up here almost every day this week whilst in Salcombe. The staff are amazingly friendly, helpful & happy. The food is fantastic & great value. The Kahula Frappe's are our new thing 😬 Dog friendly is an understatement - love this place!!!
Even though they had a power cut, they still served some beautiful food!
The ribs were especially delicious.
So thank you to all the staff who made they best of what they had.
Time and again we visit the Victoria, and once again we were not disappointed. The food was fab and the service first class. Always best to book so you do not miss out on this gem in the heart of brilliant Salcombe. We will return

Lovely atmosphere, food and staff. Treated our dogs like royalty as well as us. All in all a great experience and we’ll definitely be returning as much as we can. Thank you.
Great lunch, staff very friendly who sorted our special request perfectly.
Dog friendly too
Great food, great service in a fab location + Dogs are welcome, they even serve doggy beer, obviously 0% Alcohol, with chicken, beef addatives
Fab location and vibe. Wonderful food and welcoming staff. Cannot wait to return
Lovely welcoming pub with great food and much thought put in to cater for our four legged friends with blankets for them to lie on and treats at the counter even a bottle of doggy beer if they want it xx
Called in for dinner on Wednesday but fully booked! So booked for Friday, promised a nice table in the window and that's exactly what we got!
Lovely location just near the harbour - could see the sea!
Food was great (Hake & Chips + Fish Pie from the specials), excellent Rattler cider and Malbec wine and lovely, friendly service too.
And at the end there was a shanty group playing outside in the well maintained garden!
We were happy we decided to book - a very enjoyable visit.
Great value pub for lunch with friends. Located in the middle of Salcombe. Easy online booking process for groups up to 8 people with reassuring confirmation. Staff very friendly and a wide choice on the menu at reasonable prices.
Thank you for the great experience we had at Victoria Inn. We had our dinner there for our anniversary. We had a nice table as requested and were greeted with sparkling wine on arrival. Staff were very friendly and responsive, food delicious, good choice of wines. Highly recommended.
Visited for lunch - the food was very nice and appears to be freshly made, not your typical pub chain food.
While I was a bit skeptical when getting crisps instead of chips with my chicken wrap, I think that was the right call as there was plenty of foliage to eat alongside the (very delicious) wrap and was full afterwards! I will mention that chips were an option, but I am not sure if this would have cost extra.
The only negative was that the pub itself was dimly lit on the ground floor and the floors were also a dark colour, we were told the lights were being fixed so hopefully it won't be an issue for much longer.
Beautiful large and cosy room, with a Coffee machine which is a rare treat!
We parked in a 24 hour car park which was a short walk. Our room was ready for us when we arrived and we had such a lovely Welcome. The young Lady couldn't have been more helpful.
There's a wonderful garden here and we had a great evening meal. We shall definitely go back here!
Friendly service, quick wait time.
Fish and chips: triple cooked chips, really nicely battered (but bit small).
Beef Burger: Really tasty and of good quality, fries threw this off a little bit overall very nice.
Vegetarian beetroot wrap: tasty, of good size and tasty.
Overall, nice lunch, nice pub decor.
Excellent dinner - four of us came in to celebrate an engagement. Food delicious and service excellent. Recommended to parents and they will be going there shortly.
The Victoria Inn is located right on the harbour across from the short term parking. You can eat inside or outside and upstairs with a good view of the water. The lunch menu was varied between hot and cold as well as vegetarian and vegan choices. We had the plowman's and the prawn baguette. The food was well presented and delicious. The staff were helpful, friendly and attentive. Would highly recommend.
We went in and had some dinner and the fish and chips were lovely, however the batter was slightly too thick and hard!
Delicious either way!
We ate at the Victoria Inn on 18th June 2023.
The beer (Tribute) and wine (Zinfandel) were very nice and the food, in the main, was lovely. The fish and chips and mackerel were very nice; however the vegetarian Tofu Tikka Masala was a bit disappointing (lacked a bit of flavour).
On the whole though, a very nice evening in very nice surroundings.
Really enjoyed the food and service. We had a lovely table in the restaurant with views over the harbour. Lovely place to stop for lunch.
Great pub in the centre of Salcombe. Recommend booking due to how busy it gets. Food was good, a little expensive but expected due to location.
Nice establishment and plenty of outdoor sitting, nice and cosy inside with sea views from there first floor eating area, not bad variety on the menu but portions not large so more for the smaller appetite, but in saying that still good value for money, staff very friendly 😀
