Excellent restoration of a large classic family home in Saffron Walden. Large ground floor with many separate areas to dine in. Usual Wetherspoon value and friendly efficient staff made for a good lunch.

Stayed in Saffron Walden for the Noel Gallagher gig at Audley end. We came here on Friday night and Saturday before the gig.. The pub is absolutely lovely!! Great venue and very welcoming. As it's a Wetherspoons there was a superb selection of alcohol on offer! The bar staff were all very friendly and didn't mind answering our questions about the area. Overall an excellent experience....

My children and I love Wetherspoons in Saffron Walden - a lovely treat on a Friday afternoon. Nuggets and chips with a pepperoni pizza to share (and a brew dog for dad) - a firm family favourite. Staff are excellent… always friendly and helpful - thank you!

My daughter and myself chose the same and had a large mixed grill, came with only 2 out of 6 onions so had to ask for more, the lamb was a big ball of mixed fat and meat, beef was really nice as was the pork and gammon but we still enjoyed the meal. I tried to give a tip with my card but was an unavailable option.

Located along the Main Street area… good value meals and drinks available! Really beautiful historical building to look around and the pub also have garden seatings at the back. Nice and lovely staff during our visit

One of the largest beer gardens of any pub, never mind 'Spoons, that I have ever seen. Fantastic for summer evenings. Service on certain days (for example when there's a big gig on at the nearby Audley End House) is despairingly slow. Not the fault of the staff, but maybe a bit of planning for the sheer numbers would help?

Great old fashioned establishment to have a drink or a meal. Traditional English breakfast and unlimited coffee for just under £6. Although own personal opinion is black pudding is essential. Curry club is also worth a look

The staff were brilliant, very friendly and couldn't do enough for me. The food I had was OK . It may sound petty but the only problem I had was the lack of choice in the condiments. They had the standard red , brown sauce, mayo vinegar and salt and pepper but that's it . I would go back again though

We went after attending a concert at Audley end. It was full of young folk having a good time although it was tad noisy. Clueless as to whether there is a queueing system when ordering at the bar. A good outdoor area, but this closes at 11pm.

Spent a very pleasant sunday teatime in a mostly empty pub. Everyone else seemed to be out in the beer garden. Food was okay, service good. Like many other JDW's, there isnt much in the way of closeby parking for those like myself with limited mobility.

Great staff, nice clean pub. Food was fine and served quickly. One of the cleanest spoons ive been too. There is no longer any parking out the back as this is all out door seating now which is great to seat outside in the sunshine. Wheel chair access to the side of the pub.
