Lovely pub, nice and warm and a great steak and ale with stilton pie. It could have been a bit hotter but was warm enough to eat. Great service and friendly staff. Hubby loves the sticky toffee pud. We'll definitely return.
We went there on Saturday evening and almost all the tables were reserved but one. We were told we can only order the food after 6pm ( this was 5;45pm). Not everything on the menu was available but I was allowed to order a starter as a main meal. We waited for food about 50 minutes but luckily ther
Wonderful pub in country setting. Main drawcard was it offered a large gluten free menu. In the end it was a little limited owing to the time of year coming so soon after all the public holidays but the fish and chips was large, tasty and very well cooked; even the peas were well cooked and the chip
A great little pub with excellent food. We had the chicken, bacon and leek pie special with gravy. It was lovely. The rest of the menu looked great and a good range of dessert. Recommended.
Surprisingly good food, friendly service and a relaxing atmosphere. And regular quick trains from Cambridge too. The specials were particularly tasty tonight - pork croquettes and Cusk fish. The Eton Mess was a nice way to finish the meal.
Fantastic pub with excellent beer choices , staff cannot do enough for you. The food was fantastic and the staff was so informative. In total there were 6 of us and all we all thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. Cannot recommend highly enough
I park at the Fighting Cocks Pub carpark 1-2 times a week. It's very handy indeed and £5 for 24 hours!! Could do with lighting in the car park, particularly towards the back, but I always get a space as I arrive around 7am. Paying is easy. Either on the app or there's a payment machine on site. Much
Friendly pub with a good menu. We both enjoyed our lunches though I have to say the pie was great, better than the fish and chips (the batter was not the greatest - very yellow and not as crisp and bubbly as some but the fish was good). Portion size is very generous. Lunch time deals are good. Would
Great car park. Wish the pub would re open
