Went to The Globe recently for lunch. The decor is interesting and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. They do also have a nice patio on the side. Service was friendly and efficient. Our server also seemed knowledgeable about the beers on tap. Good variety of food on offer. The lamb burger looked to be a good size. The seafood platter for one was nicely presented and was surprisingly filling! On the whole, had a very pleasant experience and will recommend this restaurant.
A lovely gem of a pub tucked away in a nice area of Rye with a nice outside seating area. Beautiful interior and friendly staff. We had the skate wings along with a fish platter. Good sized portions and cooked to perfection. The burger was excellent along with perfectly cooked chips. Slightly on the expensive side however you don’t mind when the food is as good as we experienced. Have had the Sunday roast here on a previous visit and again it was excellent. Great place to visit
The great atmosphere and friendly service at this quirky restaurant make this a brilliant choice for an evening out. The Globe Inn at Marsh Rye (not to be confused with other 'Globe Inns') stands out above the crowd and offers a great selection of wine and beer coupled with an interesting menu. Try it - you won't be disappointed!

Highly recommended. It’s it as central as other Rye restaurants but totally worth a short walk. We were a large group and made a reservation before but they still were able to accommodate extra people they came with us. The selection is great and features really yummy red lentil Dahl and daily local catch which was delicious! Also, our fury friends were welcome too!
Great querky little pub with little booths in parts.
GREAT food much cooked in the fire oven.
Fish stew was a hit with us.
The Globe has great ambience and character .give it a try you wm'nt be disappointed.😁
Very cozy and cute place. Nice atmosphere and interesting interior.
Due to the fact that it is quite far from the town center, there are fewer people there even in the busy evening hours.
We had time only for drinks before our train, so we haven’t tried any food. But beer and wine were great.
Dog friendly (as everything in Rye).
Quality pub, with amazing food. Had the Romney marsh lamb burger and chips and it was amazing! Great coffee too. Highly recommended, incredible decor and well maintained pub given its age.
A group of us enjoyed an excellent breakfast here during a long weekend in Rye. The pub itself is beautiful inside and out, with some really interesting decor and nautical touches. Food and service were spot on. I had the poached eggs with avocado and bacon, which was cooked perfectly. Would love to return here for another meal in the future as the whole menu looked superb.
Beautiful setting. Great menu and choice of drinks. Excellent service. Fab quirky pub for a good meal.
Great looking place. A good selection of Ales, Larger, Gin /, Cocktail and beers.
A nice little place that we chanced upon for lunch. The fish was really good, especially the crispy skin. The mussels were very fresh and tasty too! The prawns and calamari were a little disappointing tho. It was still a nice place overall and we are glad to have found it!
Amazing food, excellent staff and the most eclectic atmosphere I’ve experienced anywhere. If you are in the Rye area, I recommend stopping by and enjoying dinner.
Food was great, the service was impeccable and the decor is quirky! Love it!
The atmosphere and food were good. We liked this place. The food was really nice and a lot of it is original and great concepts with a few minor tweaks could be “next level” dinning (the ideas are great and some almost fine dinning level, but with the friendly touch of a pub rather than the exacting hand of fine dining kitchen). The service was friendly but spotty — couldn’t tell who our server was as multiple people were coming and going, but overall it was a lovely experience and we would recommend giving it a try— whoever has done the decor has done a fab job making it one of a kind!
Lovely place for lunch in Rye. The interior was really nice with a cozy fireplace as well. We ordered the fried squid, whole Camembert and daily south coast catch. All very tasty and decent sized portions.
This pub is a real gem! My daughter and I booked a table on her birthday never having visited before but were very impressed. It’s got a quirky interior with lots of privacy, the food was excellent, we both had Sunday roasts and agreed they were the best we’ve had for a long time! Will definitely be returning and would recommend to anyone!
We’ve come back here two days running which says something! There’s a good choice of locally sourced food, including vegetarian and vegan options, and plenty of beers and ciders too. In addition the staff are brilliant and made us and our dog feel very welcome.
Had the most amazing meal in 2020 and came back hoping to get the fish platter and strawberry smash. Sadly both werent on the menu anymore. (Please bring it back!!)
Came here again on a Sunday and the fish of the day was divine. Roast beef was quite dry and chewy - the trimmings really carried the meal plus the gravy and sauce that came with it. The chorizo prawns were very flavourful (not spicy) and I would definitely get it again. Friend's pork belly looked really good too and she said it was juicy and crispy. Desserts were good too.
Service felt surprisingly pressuring for us to get more drinks (though the group was mostly non-alcoholic) and it wasn't particularly busy. We were sat outside and had really benefited from a sunny breezy day.
May 2022 highly recommended - a must if in the area. First visit and we stopped for lunch.
Interior amazing decor and excellent service. Staff were very friendly and welcoming.
We shared the fish platter for 2 - plentiful, fresh, tasty and beautifully served. Hubbie enjoyed the Romney Ale and for desserts we had strawberries & cream and a seasonal crumble with custard.
