Was greeted by a friendly barman with some banter about needing a beer from the walk up the hill. He had a very pleasant manner and was very efficient.
We ordered a selection of starters and sharing sea food platter which we ate on the patio. The food was great and service excellent.
We would definitely come back again when visiting Rye.
Boxing Day lunch with my family. Fantastic pub. Great staff great food great service the band was brilliant. Overall can’t recommend the place enough.
The Kings head is a lovely place to stay beautiful garden very very nice staff food excellent the rooms we stayed in was spotless cottage 1 and 2 very comfortable beds all in all lovely stay would highly recommend it

Me and my family came here for dinner yesterday and I cannot fault it ! The food was amazing and came out promtly , the staff was friendly and efficant and they was also very welcoming to my children age 5 and 8.

We had another fantastic meal here on Saturday night. The food was amazing as ever, the staff are lovely, particularly Lucy who was our waitress for the evening and it was lovely that Steve could spare a few minutes from the Kitchen to pop out to say hello - little things like this mean a lot. Looking forward to seeing you in June.

Fantastic food, service and atmosphere. The fish and chips were delightful and the haddock fish cakes are packed full of flavour. My friend who is picky on where she eats absolutely loved their chocolate brownie, sniffing it in delight and was happy to find a lemon wedge with the fish as she was mentioning how so many places she's been to don't.
What a gem of a pub! Staff all so happy to be there, service exceptional and pub inside and out and tastefully furnished and immaculately clean. A magical outdoor beer garden lights up at night. The food and menu are of the highest standard from the rocking 80s kitchen. Well done to Steve and team you have a great pub 👍
We had the warmest of welcomes and the staff went out of their way to accommodate us! Our room was comfortable and a good size for family. Breakfast left us very satisfied and set up for the day. We would definitely recommend this inn to anyone visiting the area!
Had an average dinner here, what let it down was the food quality and portion size. Curry tasted like a frozen one to be honest an the prices didn't reflect the food quality!!! Such a shame as service an setting in venue was lovely.
We went here for a meal and wow, the food was absolutely fantastic. A nice choice of dishes without there being too many. A great choice of drinks as well. The staff were really friendly and the pub itself is a lovely old traditional pub. We will definitely visit again.
Stayed in a two bedroom lodge at King's Head Inn with family for two nights whilst attending a wedding locally. Clean and spacious dwelling with all required if self catering. Provided a travel cot for our little one which was kind and hugh chairs available in main bar. Double room got quite noisy from street and bright in the morning (no blackouts) but the other room was set further back so better for baby to sleep in. Great breakfast, friendly and helpful staff. The King's Head Inn was good and we had a very enjoyable evening. The standard of the food served was absolutely excellent. Service was a little on the slow side, but it was a busy evening in the establishment.
I would certainly give the Kings Head another visit should I return to the area.
Visired for dinner whilst on holiday. My favourite, Belly of Pork, was my obvious choice. It came with cheesy mash and vegetables, but unfortunately it was drown in a bowl of gravy. The Pork Belly was Ok at best. The crackling, whilst looking good, was coloured rind and not at all crackling. The pork, whilst moist, had very little flavour. The mash which was not covered in gravy was tasty. The best part of this visit was the very friendly staff. Not sure if i will be back.

The staff are probably the nicest people in Rye! Nothing is too much for them and they have time to chat and take an interest in what you have to say. The accommodation is perfect for us and our dogs. I would definitely recommend staying here.

We stopped for lunch on a busy Easter Saturday. Despite being quite late, the staff was super friendly and helpful in ensuring that we could get a meal before the kitchen closed at 2.30pm. We had a very generous portion of fish and chips and a side salad. Everything was delicious. Would definitely recommend and revisit.

There are gluten free options. The staff are really nice and friendly. There is alot of choice for food and it arrived quickly. The restaurant has really nice decor.
From start to finish the king's head inn made my family's mother's day meal the best. Firstly staff are very friendly and attentive and a massive thank you in particular Mel who was absolutely amazing she's helped me make mother's day special everything was sorted out ready for when we got there keep in contact to make sure everything was run smoothly which it did and was so kind. When we got to the restaurant staff were brilliant and the food was even better there was a massive party of us and the food was still amazing every course we could not fault and the roast dinner was amazing especially the roasties they were to die for. Cannot wait to book our next meal here
Lovely Homely look and feel, very friendly staff, good parking. The beers were cold and fresh, one of the best punts in a while.
