Stunning menu, I had the steak and it was cooked to perfection (and I usually find rump to have a thick line of fat in it, this was pure meat!) the cocktails were very pretty and tasty, the restaurant was very clean, beautifully decorated and well laid out. And the staff were lovely. Very clever that they change their menu every 6 weeks (my only disappointment is that there was no delicious mushroom sauce with the steak this time BUT what it came with was just as lovely!) Took my best friend who in 14 years of friendship has never finished a meal out, she cleared her plate! Very fast becoming my favourite place to eat �
I had a meal here on Wednesday night and it was unreal � always guaranteed a good meal. I had lamb for my main which was lovely then the trio dessert for after which was yummy. Food is amazing and the staff are friendly � Highly recommend �

The Duck had come highly recommended to us by friends , so on visiting the Island to see family we decided to celebrate our 1st Wedding Anniversary there . We were not disappointed, what an amazing meal we had last night , the surroundings and customer service were spot on . The food was so beautifully presented and will go down as one of the best meals we have had out . We will definitely be returning ...perfect �
The Duck recently hosted an afternoon tea for a hen Do group I was involved in organising. From the very first contact, to on the day, Helen could not be more helpful. We had the top room to ourselves and it was perfect (with beautiful views!) great venue, great tea. Thanks very much Helen x
The best dining experience I've ever had. If you want to have a posh dinner , all freshly made then this is the place for you! Everything was perfect: modern, light venue, friendly staff, and delicious food. Will we be back? Most certainly!

We had a wake here for my mother in law and we must say it was so beautiful and stunning x the room was set out perfectly for us x it's so clean and fresh it gave you a real sense of being some where special x the Manager Helen was so helpful and she went out of her way to make sure that we had every thing that we needed x the staff were amazing and very helpful x we had the afternoon tea with beautiful sandwiches, jam & cream scones, brownies, duck shaped biscuits and other bits x it was amazing and very well worth the money x everyone complemented on how perfect it was and how much they enjoyed it x we will not hesitate to have any other functions here or even a meal x we cannot thank you all enough for such a lovely day my mother in law would have been so pleased xx

From the first contact with Charlie and Helen to go through the menu with them it was carried out with great professional service everything was first class as always.

Popped in for a light lunch this afternoon...The wife had the flat mushroom & halloumi burger & i had the Isle of Wight Steak burger, very nice & very tasty.
The restaurant was immaculately clean & the service was spot on, i found the staff to be very sociable & friendly..i will be going back #ThankYou
Do you know what we like about The Duck? On each and every visit the food and service has been good. This is what makes a good restaurant, forget that it is nicely located, is a comfortable restaurant to sit in....the restaurant is consistently good. So go for breakfast, brunch, lunch or dinner and you will know and trust that the most important elements are going to be good. That is hard to beat, and impossible in Ryde! Nothing else compares I’m afraid. And you can take your baby, your child, your 90 year old relative or your business colleague there and everyone is catered for which is rare on this little island. Well done everyone!
The staff were very friendly, the drinks were great, the food was delicious. I had the Crispy Pork Belly and it was so good, it was beautifully crispy and probably the best I've ever had, not too fatty and perfectly marbled and the couscous and veg that accompanied was was so good, my husband had the daily special which was fish with linguine and he really enjoyed it. We had starters (not pictured) these were small and pretty expensive but tasty. The mains were bigger than expected I would say. The puddings were also very generous in size and very sweet. I would recommend this place and would go back for sure!
Absolutely amazing experience. Staff were so friendly and hospitable making adjustments for food allergies. Service was super quick and attentive. Location was beautiful with such an amazing view. The food was amazing and came quickly. Amazing presentation. Would 10/10 recommend best meal we’ve had in a long time! Will definitely be coming back

We had a table booked for 5 for a birthday, we didn't have to wait to be seated as the table was free. Staff made a birthday very special by putting a birthday card on the table signed by all of the staff whoch was such a lovely touch. The food was absolutely incredible and the cocktails were superb. I want to thank every member of staff for being so incredibly kind and orofessional. The duck is very much recommended. Thank you 😊 💜

The atmosphere was great and the staff were so welcoming, polite and friendly.
The food was second to none, every bite was pure bliss, haven't had a meal nearly as amazing in many years!

Enjoyed a lovely Sunday lunch celebrating my friend's birthday. The dishes were well presented and very tasty, hence only one photo of the food, the atmosphere was vibrant yet relaxed, the wait staff was competent and warm and the cocktails we had went down a treat. Reservations are a must.
Very happy with our decision to visit, we could not get a dinner booking so visited for lunch. I don’t think the lunch menu is different, i had wanted something lighter for lunch, but was absolutely full after the mains.
The sea bass was fried to perfection and the gnocchi was nice but I would have happily have less of them.
The desserts were fantastic too, especially the vegan option for my partner, which looked amazing.
Would love to return to try other dishes!
Had an amazing Sunday lunch at The Duck yesterday. The focaccia and various butters as sharing nibbles was a fantastic intro. A great selection of starters, roast beef cooked to perfection and topped off by an incredible chocolate dessert. Staff were very attentive and friendly and food was excellent. Would highly recommend.
Spent another birthday meal here and have to say it was probably better than last time. Food was amazing and absolutely worth the trip from the West Wight. Lovely atmosphere and layout of the restaurant, staff were friendly, an all round fab experience and I would highly recommend trying The Duck.
