Considering we walked in two minutes before they stopped serving on a Sunday night, the front of house team made our experience really lovely. The family next to us were very satisfied and happily full when they left, and soon we were too. Great atmosphere, great food, lovely find for a quiet Sunday in Mold. Would recommend to sports fans who can watch on their own telly in a snug out back, or a few cocktails in a good looking watering-hole in the bar.

My first time here. Just visiting. Was so nice and food was plentiful that I’m going back tomorrow. Service was lovely. Had a great welcome from the manager. Highly recommend going to the Fat Boar.

Had a nice meal out for my birthday. We ordered way too much food but it was a good selection. The salt and pepper chips were amazing! But the garlic bread was a bit burnt (although the waiter did take it off the bill which was very nice of him). The cocktail was absolutely delicious and the waiter was lovely. Would go back again.

Went to the fat boar on Saturday with friends for the afternoon tea with unlimited cocktails. We were greeted with a glass of Prosecco as soon as we were seated. The food was amazing and drinks were amazing we fitted in every cocktail and more in the 2hr slot. Our table team Emily and Alex were very friendly and made our afternoon feel special 5* s

Came here for my leaving meal and I'm only giving it a 4 because of the atmosphere. The food, was amazing and I recommend the camembert aswell as the chicken burger with dirty fries...however, the dishes took quite a while to come, we didn't sit until 615 even though our table was nearly 40 minutes prior to this and during this period we stood in the bar on where we were pushed past numerous times due to the area being so confined that the servers couldn't get through at all if there were one person at the bar and anyone else in the area.

We’ve wanted to visit for some time now, so glad we finally have, and we weren’t disappointed. Your staff are wonderful- everyone of them tonight (Thursday 3rd November) couldnt have been a better experience. Food was lovely- really tasty and presented beautifully. We were a little surprised kids eat free this week 3 courses (Welsh half term) yay a lovely surprise. Thank you

One of my favourite places in Mold. Staff are always friendly and attentive. Good choice of food and drinks at reasonable prices. Tried the Fajitas this time and a good portion size. Liked making them at the table with the cooked ingredients on a platter. Street parking 5 mins away on parallel road behind the Fat Boar. Great for couples and family. Outside seating available for sunny days and covered seating for wetter days....it is Wales you know! 😉

I visited recently and was blown away by the bartender skills and amazing customer service shown by Emma. She was chatty and definitely brings the whole pubs atmosphere. Highly recommend that she gets a promotion, raise and credit for her work. Keep up the good work and will visit again soon

We had a great meal on New Years day. The staff couldn't have been more attentive. They have a kids menu and a toddlers menu. We went for the fish and chips and it was huge for our 1 yr old but she gave it a good go. The mixed grill was brilliant but I wasn't asked how I wanted my steak which is fine as long as it doesn't turn up well done. The steak was rare / blue though so I would encourage you to request how you like it if not asked as this might not be how you like it. My wife liked the pork belly and they have a good selection of non alcoholic drinks. I sampled the ales which where we'll selected and well kept. All in all I can't fault the place and the staff are brilliant.

Absolutely brilliant this place. Great vibe, lots of seating indoors and out. And the best of all was the food. Great tasting and big portions. Highly recommended.

Lovely place, good for the family. Staff were wonderful and inviting. My friend is Vegan and although there is only a small selection of Vegan food it was adequate and she loved the food she chose Would definitely recommend

Been here a few times for drinks and twice for food. Can't fault the food at all - everything we've had has been lovely. Staff are really friendly and are happy to help. They have a very good selection of drinks, from craft ales to cocktails - all reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend.

No expectations on arrival....so blown away by experience... Friendliest most accommodating helpful staff, quality food (we had the 'pre theatre lite bites')....awesome generous portions but more importantly, tasted delicious.... And as an extra bonus....truly dog friendly! 😁

- First thing you'll notice when you visit The Fat Boar is the staff, who are friendly and seem eager to make your stay an enjoyable one. - The inside is well decorated, and there's outside seating too, including a new construction of covered booths that provide ventilation but also have TVs, and heaters and blankets if it gets cold. Loved these (although better suited for drinks than food, as the tables are a bit too low to eat off). - There are decent wine and cocktail menus, and a small but select choice of draught beers/ciders/ales on tap. - And then the food. It's a pub, so it's pub food. But it's really nice pub food, and often as a twist that puts it above your standard pub grub! Overall, i really enjoyed my visit, and you will too!

Great food, great drinks, great company. We were really well looked after during our bottomless prosecco and plates session by the fabulous Emily. Thanks for a wonderful evening.
