An amazing local pub with a beer garden that has the most wonderful out look for you to discover. The food is pub grub at it finest, and the service is attentive, discreet and friendly. The beer is very well kept and there is a good selection of local ales, gins etc, more than enough to choose from.
Obviously a pub frequented by locals but we were made very welcome. Huge portions of food.
Beautifully located in the picturesque village of Ruswarp and the steam train runs right past the bear garden. Sunday lunch was fantastic, home made Yorkshires, roasties and gravy, large potion sizes and a great selection of meats and fresh veg. The desserts were fantastic ( particularly the sticky

Monday night and a warm welcome to this delightful inn. Food is excellent and bring your best appetite as the portions do not disappoint. Good drinks range and very warm and friendly staff. Thanks for a lovely evening meal.

Brilliant hope cooked food, good staff , friendly people. Fantastic will go again.

Lovely little local pub. The service was friendly, the food good and the Draught Whitby Blonde was excellent.
Sunday lunch is excellent, but book ahead. Loved the sticky toffee pudding and custard, plenty of everything sponge toffee sauce and custard. Very friendly staff and locals if I lived nearby it would by my local.
