This is a beautiful place. The rooms are stunning, and big. Walking around the grounds is lovely, it is so peaceful. The food is good. And the restaurant is really nice. The only downside to our stay was the showers - there is zero water pressure, and it just trickles from the shower head. It wouldn
We visited as part of a wake after a funeral and had the afternoon in the conservatory with a selection of food.
The building was well kept and they have kept much of the original style and features. Even areas that have been updated, like the toilets, have been done in a similar style and look gre
Just had the wedding reception for my daughter's wedding here. The staff could not have been more helpful, the food excellent and our room (Greensleeves) absolutely superb. Everything about the day was brilliant, the staff, the hotel itself and the grounds. We were even able to sit out under cover i
Was a little worried when i booked this a few months ago as there were a number of reviews (mostly trip adviser) that didn't paint Ghyll Manor in good light.
From our experience they couldn't be further from the truth.
The reception staff were very helpful and friendly and offered to take our bags
Attended a friends wedding here which was lovely. The staff were friendly and very professional. The grounds were beautiful with a lovely lake. The building itself was nice and there was plenty of parking. The room was very nice and clean with a big bathroom. The food was rather nice too.
This is a lovely little hotel and I've been here many times for weddings, family functions and other small events. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The rooms are beautiful (the main hotel is old so the rooms are very old English) the more modern rooms are a mixture of grand or typical for
This place is absolutely stunning. Take a stroll around the property and definitely check out the church across the road. If you are tourist, this is the type of hotel you are looking for; a gorgeous old mansion set in a quaint little village that is within 25 minutes of Gatwick airport.

Booked a dinner bed and breakfast deal with a bucks fizz on arrival. Were upgraded to a room in the main house with beautuful views. Dinner was tasty..and 3 course!! The bed was big and very comfortable. The breakfast was a buffet style. My partner sad there wasn't fried eggs!. Overall a lovely stay
We have just had the most wonderful weekend at Ghyll Manor for my sister's wedding on Friday 3rd May 2013.
From the moment we arrived then night before, the staff couldn't have been more helpful or personable and we instantly felt at home and very relaxed.
The rooms in the hotel were incredibly clea
Lovely place, really relaxing and rural, as you would expect for a 400 year old manor house, with 900 year old protected trees in the gardens.
All the staff I dealt week were friendly and happy, something of a rarity in my experience these days.
Food was good, served hot and well presented.

Lovely location, lovely building, lovely staff. The garden really needs maintenance, so many dead brown leaves in the conservatory area. Food was ok, expectations were much higher than result. Could have saved a fortune by going to a Toby carvery! But as I said staff were great so mixed bag really!
Just returned home after a 1 night Dinner, Bed and Breakfast break. This is the 3rd time we've visited Ghyll Manor and as usual we all enjoyed it thoroughly. Its a beautiful hotel, and the grounds are just lovely to wander around. There is a very relaxed ambiance, and the staff are all very friend
A great experience. We stayed in the mahogany room which was really spacious and utterly beautiful. We ate in the restaurant in the evening and everything was cooked and presented to perfection. The staff were all really attentive and friendly. A great stay
