Absolutely top class food, not carvery stood under heated lights, all fresh and plenty on your plate, the best Sunday dinner dining out I've had by far, thank you to Gary and his son Ollie for making us really welcome we will definitely be back.
The Knot Inn pub has only been open three wks but the owner's Gary and Oliver are doing a wonderful job the pub is in a rural setting lovely walks around the lake all country side. The pub and its interior is a beautiful building good food which is sourced locally and is excellent quality good choices on the menu which is varied and reasonable prices. Gary and Oliver and the Staff do an excellent job and is dog and child friendly. We know how good it is and we will be coming back x

What a brilliant countryside pub with great food and even better staff, defiantly worth a visit and will be definitely going back again very soon.
Thank you for a fab Fathers Day meal. Excellent food, presented really well and large portions! Best bread and butter I've eaten for ages. Service was great. Will be back very soon!!
We’ve visited The Knot many times in the six years that we’ve lived round the corner. Today’s meal was the best we’ve ever experienced there. A warm welcome and great food - what more could you want from a country pub? Long may it continue!
Beautiful country pub with brilliant food & staff, will most definitely be visiting again.
Great location , friendly staff and really good food
What More can i say, except What a beautiful country pub in beautiful surrounding and grounds,
Food was superb!
Garry and Ollie are the most welcoming hosts I have ever met, and very genuine people!
Give them a try you won't be dissatisfied,
Fantastic meal & brilliant staff! Will be back again, very good value for money.
Called today. Asked if a chicken salad was possible...NO PROBLEM! Great venue, lovely new owners. We will certainly be back! Highly recommended. Good luck to Olly and Gary for future success...they deserve it!
Good to see our local back open and under new management, Great food reasonably priced, great selection of beers and drinks all served up with a great friendly welcome, what more could you want? Will definitely be back.
We had an excellent meal here on the last night of a short break in the area. The greeting and the service throughout were very friendly. The menu is based around pub classics but with some touches that really elevate it. Between us we had the focaccia, chipolatas and crab starters/grazing bites. For mains we had the hake, katsu chicken, lamb chop and bacon chop. All was cooked perfectly and arrived in good time. We got a 20% discount off our next visit (to use within two months) and as we are leaving tomorrow and won't be in the area again until next year we're planning to go for lunch on the way home. Great food and service in beautiful surroundings. Definitely worth a visit.
Came in for food and a beer at lunch time - Menu was small but the quality of food was out of this world .so much so we returned on the same day for dinner . Again the standard of food was amazing and reasonably priced. My 8 year old said it's the best sausage and mash he'd ever eaten and we dine out alot.staff were happy and attentive and made us feel welcome. I would recommend this tucked away gem .
My husband suprised me with a booking here as he had heard about the menu and great food. I'm a foodie and love real quality well executed dishes and WOW this didn't disappoint. Amazing food, unsure what i wanted for starters as so many fabulous things to tickle the taste buds. The sea bass was sublime cooked to perfection and presented beautifully. Pudding was equally as delicious. If you sometime go out for a meal and feel like you've been out for tea.... then try here. This is a meal, something a little more delicious than the best meal out I've had. Keep delivering this Amazing cuisine. Top notch. And service with a smile. Xxx
Absolutely lovely place to visit for a pub lunch, or a nice meal out.
Lovely warm welcome by staff. We sat in the snug area which was also dog friendly, by the log burner and which was constantly being topped up by the attentive staff. We ordered The Knot sandwich which was like a mini buffet - presented beautifully, tasted fantastic and was great value for money. There were lots of people in both the bar and the restaurant areas. Seeing so many cooks and staff in the kitchen as we walked passed the open kitchen was great and why they are able to serve such high quality food without a huge time to wait. We will definitely be going back .
A lovely country pub with friendly staff, great food and drinks. So glad we called in.
Went for Sunday Lunch, the food was amazing and portion sizes were great! Would definitely recommend and go again!
We had a lovely meal at The Knot Inn, the food was great. The only issue we had was that we were served an alcoholic beer instead of the alcohol free beer that we had ordered. Unfortunately this did not become apparent until after it was almost finished. They were however very apologetic.
***EDIT***
After a conversation with the manager at the knot Inn, we have been offered a full refund as and error was made with order. A starter was sent out instead of a full main. I can only commend the way in which this was professionally dealt with. It’s not often these days to receive such customer service. Many Thanks Jeanette ( manager )
Visited on a family recommendation.
Given that we eat out more than regularly, we found the portion size of the Lamb Hogget main at £22 per head to be that of a small starter and we left hungry. The dish had two Chatenay carrots which were halved and three baby potatoes, also halved. The description was a sauce of capers and mint which comprised of 4 capers and no mint whatsoever. Disappointing and expensive.
Just been back to our favourite pub/restaurant.. and yet again we were not disappointed..we chose the Pie of the Day, (Steak n Ale). It came with creamy cabbage, which is not one of my favourite vegetables, but yet again, the kitchen staff, made us some carrots and broccoli instead, the service, and the way the staff go out of their way to ensure you have the perfect evening, makes the Knot inn my first choice when going out for a meal..a great big thank you to all the staff at the Knot inn, for yet another superb evening out. And look forward to seeing you all again soon.
