Best place for breakfast in Runcorn in my opinion! I always order the American breakfast and a chai latte which is delicious , the prices are reasonable. They are dog friendly and there is a park nearby. They have a great range of food and drinks including alcohol. The homemade cakes and brownies are good too. It is worth booking a table as you can’t always guarantee you’ll get in. Sometimes the service can be slow, but it’s worth it. Would recommend!

Always fantastic and one of the best places to eat in Runcorn. They have a wide variety of breakfasts with loads of healthy options. A great kids menu which avoids the usual nuggets and fish fingers cliche - this full English and pancake stacks. The lunch menu has big hearty bowls like Caesar salad and Bibimbap which is packed with delicious pickled vegetables, rice, egg and spicy Korean sauce. There's a good selection of drinks including the usual coffees and teas, and also beers and cocktails. They are open every day and some evenings and do regular theme night with specialist cocktails and meal deals. Overall an amazing cafe and a hidden gem.

So I’ve been to this place before many times for food but today we went for my besties baby shower. And afternoon tea. The service we received today was second to none! The food was incredible, the staff were brilliant and we felt so looked after. They were kind, patient and went above and beyond and it won’t be forgotten. We have all said it was the best afternoon tea we’d ever had. I’m so grateful, thank you The Bakehouse for helping me make the day super special for my bestie. I’ll be back again soon. I’m obsessed with your place. And a special thank you to Cam. Who was extremely courteous, helpful and polite. You all were. Be back again soon! ♥️

I'd seen this place advertised on Facebook and while I was off work and the weather was glorious we decided to try it out. We parked around the corner from Runcorn Hill as the road outside the restaurant was closed due to a crumbling wall. Despite being advised of a 45 minute wait for food we took an ice cold pint of shandy in the garden at the rear. However due to the hot weather the friendly staff found us a table indoors. Unfortunately they had sold out of the salmon for the Eggs Benedict so I chose to have mine with bacon. The other half chose a Turkish flatbread. Sure enough the food arrived as promised due to regular updates from the staff. Mine was very well presented, hot and delicious with poached eggs that were still runny (the way I like them), crispy bacon and a drizzle of balsamic vinegar and seeds which added a nice crunch. The other half"s Turkish flatbread came with two lamb koftas that were delicious and fragrant with spices, large flatbread, a full salad including onion, lettuce, diced tomatoes, pomegranate seeds and a yoghurt and mint dressing. In hindsight we probably could have just ordered the flatbread between us it was that large! We were that full there was no room for dessert which looked amazing and is all made on site. They also offer cocktails and a tapas menu on a Friday and Saturday night and a roast dinner on Sundays. We will certainly be returning to sample these delights but we will be booking in advance 2nd visit 21/04/2023 - Afternoon tea Returned back to The Bake House after our excellent experience last time. This time we opted for the afternoon tea menu. (The table was booked in advance and a £10 deposit was taken per head in case of a no show) The sandwiches were brought on a board with a selection of crisps and side salad. We had chicken and bacon, ham and chutney, egg mayo and cheese and tomato. There was also warm sausage rolls. Tea and coffee were included but the speciality teas such as the matcha latte were extra. And then for the desserts. Presented excellently in a "half bird cage" we had Victoria sponge, chocolate brownies, carrot cake, fresh strawberries, Mars Bar slices, scones with clotted cream and jam and finally edible chocolate plant pots filled with cream and chocolate biscuit "soil" 😊 All in all an excellent experience and we will definitely be returning

Hidden gem! My car was in a local garage and they suggested I tried TBH to get a coffee and do some work. Friendly staff, amazing food and drink, nice courtyard. In the end I was there 4 hours!

After hearing so much about The Bakehouse , I had finally popped in to try out the food . On a Tuesday morning and it was absolutely packed , which is a great sign ! The atmosphere is very home-like , peaceful and chill .. the staff are excellent , attentive and very polite and the interior decor was great . I had ordered a bagel and a coffee and I must say it was very delicious, the presentation was great and the price was fair . It has to be one of the best , if not the best , spots in Runcorn to eat and I highly recommend to anyone ! Will be back very soon 😋

Lovely little place don't forget to book and the turnaround on tables is quite quick so if you're looking for a longer catch up don't book here food is amazing though

Went above and beyond to cater for our little girl who has an allergy. Take cash to leave a tip - we didn't have any on us so the least I can do is leave an honest review! Food was amazing, chilled atmosphere and fab staff- perfect Saturday brekkie

Never disappointed when visiting the old post office. Far too many choices though, so bad to share once again ☕️🍰

Sunday brunch... so much choice. Lovely atmosphere. If there was something to improve offer tea in a teapot, not a tea bag in a mug with hot water top up if requested.

Great food, friendly staff. You have to wait a bit after being served. However, it is understood as they are always busy and the food is very fresh and tasty so worth the wait. Would highly recommend for breakfast/ lunch or just coffee and cake.

I love this little Gem of a place. Its a tiny litte place that packs a big punch! The food here is lovely. I had salt and pepper chips that were honestly out of this world, they were so good!! The brownies are 100% fit too. I have given the service 3 stars purely becuase it is really slow. If you are in a rush don't book here, but that being said the staff are lovely and very welcoming. You have to prebook as it is always full.
