Me and my partner have been ordering at Oishi for a couple years now, by far the best Japanese takeaway I've had, better than many restaurants. They're always adding new things to the menu, the food Is always completely amazing and we have never had an issue. Best rugby takeaway!
Their food options look pretty legit. Takoyaki had the right flavour but could use bigger chunks of octopus, rice could use a few more furikake sprinkles, sesame seeds or umeboshi for flavour - the unagi don is EXCELLENT and highly recommended. Tried a bit of everything, was really lovely- the noodle dishes were not too oily and good flavour, the gyozas were great, and the sushi was tasty and well presented. (My husband also really liked the veg sushi and noodles, and he is a tough critic!) They called to let me know they were really busy
Lunch time bento boxes - amazing!!! So yummy and authentic flavours. Plus they have Japanese Ramune - Lychee is my favourite. We will definitely be back :)
Finally - Rugby's wait for a proper Japanese + sushi place is over. The food here is spectacular and it has almost become a fortnightly ritual for us to have some Oishii food (pun intended)
Their fish selection for sashimi and nigiri is smaller than what you'll see in a city but the quality is top
Love the food! The location is a bit hard to find (it is in Rugby House Chinese Takeaway) but this gem never disappoints.
I've ordered from them from the beginning and so far I never had a complain about the food or delivery. Happy customer 🥰.

The quality is good, taste is also very good, the only issues it has become slightly too pricey over the last year. I had ordered from Oishii before, will order in future just less frequently, sadly.

Had the pork belly ramen and it was absolutely delicious! Broth was very tasty and the pork was perfect! A good sized portion as well, lots of noodles!
Tried this take-away for the first time today and it was delicious. We especially liked the teriyaki chicken (the sauce was very more-ish!) and the yakitori chicken skewers. We'll definitely be back! To find it, go into Rugby House Chinese Takeaway.
OMG how did I not know this amazing place exists 5 mins away?! The food was so fresh and delicious. Had some sushi - amazing! And 2 different hot food options, pork dish as well as katsu curry! Gave Wagamama run for it's money! Can't wait to order again! My new fave take away in Rugby!
We are so happy to have Oishi so close to us. The best Japanese food in Rugby. Cravings always satisfied. Picky eaters won't be able to resist their dishes!
Really great Japanese cuisine. Owners very friendly. However, 2 things to know: it is cash only and the take-away is hidden inside the Chinese take-away.
Tasty, had katsu curry, unfortunately my rice was cold. I had collected it, but curry was hot. The dumplings were tasty. Bit confused when I was looking for the place as it was in the Chinese takeaway.
So pleased to have an excellent sushi restaurant in rugby. Have ordered a few times now and never dissapointed. Always fresh and tasty
Just had a chicken katsu bento box delivered and was INCREDIBLE....... great miso soup, gorgeously crunchy gyozas and just the best chicken katsu curry ever. Definitely be back
