Me and my niece visited the restaurant today, One of the best lunch’s ever!!! The manager was awesome with my niece and she even got to make her own pizza with the chef!!!! The manager then made her a rose from a napkin!!! My niece hasn’t stopped telling everyone how amazing it was!!! So Thankyou so much!! Defo would recommend!!!

If you love really, definitely, amazingly, and crazily spicy pizza, I beg you guys to try Etna! Medium spicy? Spicy G…(sorry that I am really bad at Italian) No spicy? Try the dish start with “pollo …”. I highly recommend to dine in. The most delicious pizza is always the hot one just coming out of the oven!
This was the last minute stop after going to the hospital with my good lady the missus is not a massive fan of pizza but I convinced her to go and she was not disappointed and neither would I but the moment we were greeted we were able to park right outside services quick friendly the food the doubles in particular were to die for I had the pesto and the Mrs had the honeyfield ones both were exceptional Hannah the manager would you do a delight to engage with from her manner through to her speed of service this place is a great example of how Pizza Express should be run and the food quality this second to none we will be back go all who work here and especially congratulations to Hannah for running a nice tight ship. We had a very good experience here at the Rugby branch. We visited one evening during the heatwave when we were desperate for some air con! The staff were also very friendly and efficient.
Lovely to see some Italian wines from unusual grape varieties on the menu - I enjoyed a glass of Soave from Northeastern Italy. We skipped starters and shared a Caesar salad and the La Reine pizza. There were a few issues here - firstly the kitchen was out of egg, Parmesan and Cos lettuce, so our Chicken Cesar salad was just chicken and rocket leaves (we were still charged the £13 though). We also went for the ‘classic’ pizza base, which turned out to be a thin base (not thick as described) and overall quite a small pizza. I would recommend opting for the Romana base which is a thin base (though no thinner than the thin classic base we had), but the pizza is considerably larger. We shared a pudding of brownie with vanilla ice cream afterwards, which was delicious.

The location did not inform me of the 45 minute wait until I had sat down. Not an issue as it came quicker than this. It took the team 2 minutes to acknowledge me at the door to get a table. It was busy but appeared short staffed.
Having ordered the carrot cake and coffee, I was informed that these were unavailable at the time of ordering. The location had limited supplies of different items on the menu which I have yet to encounter in a Pizza Express.
The team were apologetic in that respect and were warm and friendly throughout. The food tasted great but I notice the size of the portion and the amount of butter given on the doughballs was small; The smallest I have come across where other branches are a lot more generous!
Little improvements such as having cutlery on my table would not go a miss. A staff member delivered my dough balls without any cutlery. The soft drinks provided were warm in the bottle; normally they are chilled from a fridge.
Little niggels made it a less pleasant experience than normal but I would visit again.
What you don't normally get from a chain restaurant is a personal service, Pizza Express Rugby was different. It was myself and my two children, one of them was a little tired and disruptive and we sat next to the kitchen area, so for the peace of others around I put Peppa pig on my phone. The kitchen staff noticed this and how they haven't had to watch it in ages... This was followed about genuine excitements of the thought of making Peppa Pig Pizza/ dough, both my children absolutely loved it and the 1 year old got very excited when Peppa got delivered to the table. I very rarely write reviews or make comments, however I truly believe the team/ kitchen staff went above and beyond. Thank you so much, we'll see you again soon.
My first time coming to any Pizza Express after being recommended by a work colleague. I didn't have huge expectations as I thought it would just be another Dominos style place, but I was pleasantly surprised. I ordered a starter and a main and both came within a reasonable time and it tasted amazing! It is slightly pricey but compared to other pizza places it's worth your money. The staff are super friendly and always serve you with a smile. I would highly recommend coming here and I definitely will again soon.
We admire the consistency of the Pizza Express chain. Generally having well trained and attentive staff, decent atmosphere, good food and wine. Seldom disappoints. The Rugby restaurant met expectations.
Welcoming decor and good pizzas. Service struggled to cope with a handful of customers as there appeared to be only one server. However, food was fresh and tasty and the kids menu is good value for money. Will be returning.
Good food and quick service. Was a flood in WC when there so that not so nice. Floor sodden, yet allowed to use.

Absolutely perfect restaurant. We were shown to our table by a lovely waitress who was really friendly and welcoming. One of us is vegan and a bit of a fussy eater and the choice of food here is wondeful, our waitress was extremely helpful! Service was very prompt and both courses arrived lovely and hot. The chef even bought our mains over to us when it got quite busy. The food tasted delicious as always and would recommend this restaurant to everyone! The staff here really are excellent.
Food, as usual, is very good, this place deserves to be busier. Had a lovely evening.
Food wise you know what you're getting - enjoyable mass produced , locally cooked pizza. The service here was excellent - really enjoyed.

Had a job trying to find somewhere to park initially, then luckily someone left a space in a little car park behind, as I was looking.
Had a fabulous time coming here for a company Pizza connect event.
The food was delicious and we had a great service.
