Great staff , very efficient and friendly. Burgers best I've ever tasted. We had a classic, a bacon and brie boat burger and the big boat burger (not for the feint hearted).
Excellent pub, a very good selection of real ales and ciders. The bar staff are lovely and there's a great atmosphere. Nice toastie log burner with Arthur the dog relaxing by it. Nice enclosed garden with good kids facilities, beside the canal at the front! A handy little food shop too which is unique for when you're on your boat! Always come back!
Very friendly staff. Fab food reasonably priced. Would recommend.
The 'Boat Burger' is arguably the best burger I've ever had.... Beer is v.good too.
Lovely location and staff make for an enjoyable visit....
Fantastic food friendly staff really good atmosphere would highly recommend

As someone who has been coming to the Boat for over 60 years, it's still as good as ever. Love Big Arthur and his little friend. It would be funny if he was named after the legendary Arthur Neal; one of the finest landlords the Boat ever had!
Absolutely love this Pub. Always a warm welcome and the food is beautiful. The steaks are a must, always cooked perfectly. Worth a visit even just too meet Arthur the Pubs dog (adorable). Will return and have on many occasions.
Great place for a party. Food excellent, staff very pleasant and helpful. Safe area for the children to play. Would recommend it to anyone.
Had a beautiful Sunday roast, extremely friendly staff that want you to have a lovely time, lovely setting outside by canal to sit and have a few beers in the sunshine. Would definitely go again 👌
Very impressed - very well trained staff , exceptional food and great atmosphere . Very well done
Great canal side pub. Very friendly people, great food and dog friendly.
Fantastic food, fantastic service, would highly recommend
We went for a Sunday roast with family and had the most enjoyable afternoon.
We sat on the waterside in the sun and felt very well looked after and catered for. The two waiters were very pleasant chatty and made us laugh!
The Sunday Roast was divine! Like seriously delicious and worth all of the money for it... we loved that they do a cauliflower cheese side too. The two veggies were well catered for with two options and they weren't chasing veg around the plate which often they can be.
I think the fact they only do roasts on a Sunday is the key to success here as everything on the plate tastes amazing
If you want a really lovely experience with great service and yummy food this place is for you!
This restaurant is by far our favourite. The food is incredible and never disappoints in the 10+ times we’ve been in the last year. Whenever we have friends visit us this is the place we prefer to take them out of all the many surrounding pubs & restaurants. The people that run this place are really lovely too, and its always such a warm atmosphere.
One of the best beer gardens I've been to. Well kept, lovely floral areas, with a zen pond and plenty of comfy seating. Perfect for summer's day drinks with riverside view.
Sunday lunch also up there with the best. The "kids" portion was very generous with every bit perfectly made. Starter veggie pate was absolutely yum. Friendly staff too, will definitely visit again.
What a lovely place this is. Great atmosphere, food & service. And the Yorkshire puddings were scrummy
We were at the Boat last night, in a group of 20+. I had the boat burger and it was perfectly cooked, slightly pink in the middle. Everyone said they enjoyed their meals. Was impressed with the consistency, despite it being such a large group. Great service, friendly and attentive staff. Thank you so much for a lovely evening!
Really amazing food, especially the roast dinner. Nice selection of soft and alcoholic drinks. Servers were lovely and friendly however service was slow and one of our orders came out wrong but this stuff happens. Would definitely eat there again.
The food here has been consistently good each time I've visited. Good variety to choose from.
Lovely little pub/restaurant tucked away by the canal. Very warm welcome, cosy atmosphere with plenty of outside space. The lunchtime menu is not huge, but there is plenty of choice. The portions are quite large. Neither of us could finish. (But that's just us). The food was well cooked and nicely presented. Definitely recommend this place, and we hope to come back.
The pub is nestled in tranquility on a canal, just off the Foss way. It has character.
It is a good place for a casual lunch, especially if you want to meet halfway between Leamington Spa and Rugby.
Don’t expect to watch any sports. It’s all about the people.
Lots of parking spots.
Called in on the off chance in our motorhome as we were heading south and had time on our hands. Warmly welcomed by the landlady. Had a beer by the canal in the afternoon and booked a table in the restaurant for the evening. Wow, what a sumptuous feast awaited us. Food brilliantly prepared and cooked and then presented to the highest standards. Had loads of cocktails and gin and was also pleasantly surprised by the cost. Would love to come back!!
Quality staff, quality food. Had to get dessert twice as the donuts were just so good.
Lovely little country pub. Went here yesterday lunchtime before going to watch our son at football. Atmosphere very lovely and staff are attentive. I did think the food was overpriced but saying that it was all gorgeous and delicious. So you get what you pay for. My only gripe is that there were no baby changing facilities. Nothing the pub could do, I totally understand but just makes life harder for us parents. Also no child colouring pads or pencils. Again I know I'm marking down a star just for limited child aids and for most people this will not be an issue. I would definitely recommend this pub to others.
A really good roast on a Sunday evening. The service was good and the atmosphere pleasant. The pub is right by the canal and on a warmer night it would have been pleasant to sit outside.
After finding this place online, my wife and I decided to give it a try for my birthday and if you're reading this review and thinking about coming here then I suggest you do. The food is excellent. Wonderful flavours and beautifully presented. All in all an excellent experience for which the whole team here should be congratulated
Possibly the greatest Sunday Roast available in Warwickshire; the quality of food, the location, the professionalism and friendliness of the staff plus the value for money put The Boat in a league of its own.
Quality is consistent too; there has been a six month gap since our last roast for one reason or another, but the food served in January and June was both top drawer. The dining locations both inside and out are all pleasant and offer differing experiences (all good ones).
Fabulous Sunday lunch, last minute booking. Sat in the conservatory which is spacious and has a nice vibe.
Roast potatos were amazing and def Yorkshire pudding points. I had veggie Wellington which was divine great balance of flavours and really great service with a smile from the staff.
Would definitely recommend.
What a find! Lovely location and both inside and outside spaces are lovely. Food was a little expensive BUT was absolutely delicious. Will definitely go back and hopefully weather permitting get to use the outside bar.
It is dog friendly. There is a sign saying dogs in the pub. But, you can walk thru the pub to the beer garden out back. One of our party didn't want to go because he thought all the dog friendly places were out front - basically in the car park!
Beyond that, the Sunday roast was one of the best I've had.
